Cade was a 3 time WWE Tag Team Champion and an 11 year veteran, trained by Shawn Michaels.
Cade was released by the WWE October of 2008 while he was a key figure in a storyline with Chris Jericho. His release was related to a seizure that happened on a WWE flight, apparently caused by an overdose. There were reports that this was not the first incident of this type for Cade and management was at their breaking point with him.
Lance was scheduled to work the August 28th show for World Wrestling Today that has been heavily promoted on Tha O Show.
Lance Cade is survived by his two daughters, Natallye (7) and Laryssa (2). Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

WWE is about to do some heavy defending of themselves this coming week. I was never huge on the guy as a singles wrestler but liked Lance & Murdock. I cant believe someone at 29 can die of heart failure.

According to Dave Meltzer, two family members believed there was something wrong with Lance Cade over the past week.
Cade's wife Tanya noticed that he was having trouble breathing and didn't seem healthy. On Tuesday night, he was rushed to the hospital where he passed out at one point but was then revived. He was released from the hospital the next day.
On Thursday, Cade's father Harley noticed that he didn't look good. Harley brought Lance to a family home in San Antonio, TX where Lance died during the night.
Cade's wife did not believe he had been drinking.
Way too young and talented to be leaving children behind. As heartbreaking as it is, nothing will come of this loss.
