Christian Returning To The Fed?

The belief in TNA right now, is that Jay Reso, better known as Christian Cage, will be returning to World Wrestling Entertainment when his contract expires next month.

There have been no "official" talks between WWE and Reso at this point, but he obviously has reason to believe there is a deal waiting for him in New York.

Of interest is the fact that TNA was aware of this situation, and still chose to put Reso in a storyline where he was forced to join the Main Event Mafia, following a clean loss to Booker T at the Turning Point pay-per-view.

More on this as it becomes available...

TNA wrote Christian Cage off at the TNA Impact taping last night, as he was beat down by the Main Event Mafia after Kurt Angle said that he heard Cage was leaving TNA for WWE. As reported earlier, Cage's TNA deal expires next month.

TNA decided to go ahead and write Cage out of storylines so that they aren't left in a situation where Cage is still involved in storylines and then leaves for WWE. The belief internally is that Cage will leave for WWE when his deal expires, though TNA is still talking to Cage about staying with them. If Cage decides to stay, TNA will likely do a revenge storyline with Cage going after the Main Event Mafia.

The "Instant Classic" or as he was once called"The world's ugliest pretty boy" would be a perfect heel on RAW.

Bad move on Christian's part.

As far as I've heard since 2005, WWE never thought of Christian as a guy who could have a long run with a big belt, and I doubt that a pair of title runs in TNA will impress WWE enough to give him their big belt this time around. So if he's coming back hoping for a big push, he may be sorely disappointed.

If he's hoping to come back to a bigger salary, that probably is a bad tree to be barking up right now as well. WWE is looking to drastically cut costs right now, so if they don't see Christian as a potential main eventer, I can't see how they'd be willing to have a big payday waiting for him.

Of course, there's always the possibility that he's just bluffing like Team 3D did to try and get a bigger salary or another main event push. Either way, I'm probably in the minority here, but I think he's better off in TNA, at least for right now.
