William Regal Suspended

WWE.com has reported that William Regal, whose real name is Darren Mathews has been suspended for 60 days for his second violation of the WWE’s substance abuse policy. You can personally read that story here.

This is particularly unsettling for more than one reason. Much like Jeff Hardy, Regal was in for one of, if not, the biggest push of his career. He was the General Manager of "Raw" as well as the 2008 WWE King of the Ring, making him a focal point of most storylines in one way or another. That has all changed, and changed abruptly.

To paraphrase an earlier quote from O Show co-founder Big Daddy Donnie, William Regal personally swore off recreational drugs of any kind, as well as steroids after the death of Eddie Guerrero. William Regal was also one of the people close to the late Chris Benoit, another drug-related wrestling tragedy.

Regal's first suspension was due to "residue" in his system, and I will concur with Big Daddy Donnie in saying that there was most likely no "residue" this time.

Tha O Show will have more details as they become available.

This sit sucks for so many reasons. Regal was the main reason i even bothered watching Raw since the KOTR. Damn it. Didnt he learn shit from all the deaths these past couple of years? I hope its only some shit like pot or something. Fucking around with drugs after he had those heart issues is retarded.

well he was in england sooo

What the fuck does england have to do with it? It's a WWE policy not a North American policy.

He fucked the fuck up and now he has to pay his price.

I hate it, but the dumb motherfucker got what he deserved.

it was a joke, you know england his home, he would do drugs.
no nothing?

i suck at jokes

England is just a quick drive from Amsterdam.

I think that may have helped more people get the joke.

Oh Regal you've dropped a major bollock all right, finally getting somewhere in WWE where foreigners never do and it looks like you've blown it, you stupid wanker, what a complete tosser you are!

JR had an interesting comment about having to watch what legal supplements you use because it would affect the test results. About five or six years ago Gregory Helms got busted going into Canada with a controlled substance he had boughten off the shelf at a fitness store in America. I really hope it's something like this, if it comes out otherwise he'll have really lost all respect from me. I honestly thought he was smarter than this.

Unfortunately Regal is just another victim of Vince McMahon's pressure....it was reported a few weeks ago that while Vince was a fan of regals personality and facial expressions but not so much his in-ring work. Of course if you have been following backstage reports you'll know that regal has been chomping at the bit to get back into the ring and get a serious run.

So of course his boy Triple Hayche convinces Vince to throw him a bone and those the King Of the RIng concept is dusted off and established as a platform to give regal arguably the biggest push of his career...now you may notice that despite being up there in age Regal looks to be in the best shape of his life and as cut as can be....perhaps to appease his boss. so now if you examine this scenario closely and know of regals past medical history if should not come as a surprise to anyone that regal just got his second suspension for what is believed to be performance enhancement drugs (steroids.)

That's a pretty astute observation, Leonel. I think there is definitely some merit that there is a conspiracy aspect to the Wellness Policy, and on the heels of your comment, it may very well be a self-realizing conspiracy.

I haven't seen you post anything prior to this and your comment on my Raw report, but you seem like a pretty smart guy. Welcome to Tha O Show, here's hoping you stay a while.
