Santino Marella In Hot Water

Friend of Tha O Show, and Ontario native, Santino Marella (Anthony Carelli) was arrested early this morning.

At 2:57 AM on May 1st 2008, Tampa police stopped Carelli at 6301 Westshore Boulevard, and charged him with Driving Under The Influence. Carelli was held on $500 bond, which Tha O Show has been told was paid this morning, and he was released.

The Santino Marella character is a smark favourite on the WWE roster, and has recently been on the receiving end of a tag team storyline that most expected to culminate with a tag title win for himself and his partner Carlito at Judgment Day.

This type of incident has ended the runs of WWE workers with more cache than Carelli - namely Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Eddie Guerrero and others.

More on this story as it develops.

I read about this first thing this morning, and I'm just really hoping it doesn't effect his status in the E. Dude has mad charisma and really needs to be used better (Dan-E-O knows what I'm talking about).

Here's a link to TMZ's mug shot.

Apparently he WAS UNDER the legal limit in florida????!!!!!!

He was under the legal limit in Florida at the time that the tests were given. After failing two Field Soberity Tests he was taken to the jail and then given a BAC breathing test which came up at like .061 or .062, which the legal limit is .08 making him under the legal limit at that time.

Being that it was two hours after the initial stop, they can then assume he was at or higher then .08 and still charge him though they have no "legal" or "factual" proof that he was above the limit.

There still gonna charge him because they gave him the blood test 2 hours after the fact. He's already failed wellness once so he's getting a 60 days without pay. Santino needs to learn how to call a cap.

You sonnamagun! Learn to be responsible, like the Guinness brilliant people!

That was my new "Santino lecturing Santino" segment. I don't think it'll get off the ground though.

This will go no where. Any $5 lawyer can get him off with nothing more than a fine at most. That .08 dealis bullshit anyways, it's not like he's some 100lb sorority girl. You da man Santino

The Wellness Policy does not say anything about alchohol or tobacco (or fatty foods for that matter), you can down a fifth of vodka before taking a wellness test and still pass.

The difference between this and the RVD push halt is that Marello had no weed in his car at the time.

May not interfere with Wellness but wwe usually hates this bad pr
