Joey Styles has been removed from the ECW announce team effective immediately. He will not be calling ECW tonight, which makes my job of covering the show very difficult. Had they switched Styles and Ross or Styles and Cole I'd have been irritated, but I would've been ok with it. I want the Osters across the world to take a wild guess as to who his replacement is.It isn't Joel Gertner. It isn't even Todd Grisham. It's the biggest waste of space in the WWE not on the talent roster. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, this is a full time switch. Mike Adamle was announced as the full time ECW announcer.
Not only did this elicit a Joey Styles "Oh my God!" it elicited a "what the hell are they doing?" Mike Adamle? They are dead serious. Josh Matthews is open, he calls Heat. For God's sake put him there if you must move Styles.
Joey Styles, according to "sources" backstage is being moved to another area within the company. For me to comment on that would be pure speculation so I won't do that. For those that consider TNA hard to listen to, now imagine Mike Adamle and Tazz.

Oh, wait..ECW already pretty much sucked. One more level of shit won't do much.
Still, having Styles made it at least, slightly, feel like it was connected with the old ECW. No more, it seems.

i never watch ECW but i kind of want to tune in this week just for the trainwreck effect. i'd make a drinking game out of it but even i don't hate my liver that much.

Why, in high heaven, are they letting the guy that called the action for the original run of "American Gladiators" call the shots with Taz? Why does this guy have a job with the E? Why aren't him and Don West hanging out asking each other "Jesus, why do we suck so bad at our job"?
Several months gone from watching wrestling for the most part and I already feel like it's time to turn away again and go back to watching just old tape footage on the telly.
Oh my God !!!!!!! This is the the final nail in the coffin of the slow death of ECW.
ECW was dead the moment Vince put his mitts on it, make no mistake. Tazz, as an anouncer, sucks ass. ECW, in general, sucks ass. There is very little to redeem this show, sure there are some good wrestlers here and there, and there are some good promos here and there. Speaking in general terms I'd rather be watching WCW with Russo in charge than this crap. All that being said, does it make a damn bit of difference if some idiot announces it rather than Joey Styles?
Heyman had some interesting words over at the Sun if anyone is interested. Almost made sense.
