Dan-e-o comes from a long line rasta-haired, computer shit-disturbers.

The show cuts off in the middle of Al's interview.

Big Daddy Donnie said...

Apparently there was some kind of glitch in the FTP process of the show from the studio and the end of the show was cut off. We will have that corrected for you by tomorrow.

The nightmare of 207 continues.

Al Snow's interview was indeed full of Cunt-raDICKshuns.

He was a decent worker, perhaps a good teacher but he never sold out any buildings.

His doctor analogy was not very good. I think he was basically telling you guys that you had no right to give your opinions since you are not wrestlers. Bullshit I say!

Who is to say that Steamboat Savage did not provide multiple future buys.

Al Snow, midcard jobber at best but talks like he's the wrestling DICKshunary.

Please don't interview that pompour jabrone again.

Thanks

Great show once again! I'm a longtime listener, and love how the show has evolved. More original music and jingles please!

I just wanted to weigh in on Jason Sensation's recent appearance. Please give him a weekly impression-based segment. The dude is talented, and it would give us all a chance to check in and make sure he's doing okay. (Much like Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Get Old - a weekly podcast that helps keep Jason Mewes on track with his recovery from addiction.)

Also, I don't think that he should be encouraged to air out dirty laundry -- it's not good for his career, and I think a bit unfair to Vince Russo, who has to be concerned about sticking his neck out for someone who seems so unstable (and I say that with all love and respect).

Yes, he should have returned Jason's emails, but I know what it's like to be extremely busy and in a high pressure creative environment. Things fall through the cracks. And it's hard to continuously have to reject someone's ideas, especially when they're so passionate. I'm sure Vince considers himself a friend of Jason's and at one time spoke from a "whishful" perspective, that Jason took as a promise - it's not right, but it's understandable. There's only so many times you can break someone's heart when you're forced to do it over and over -- how many times did he respond to previous ideas and suggestions before

I'm in a creative development role, and my friends are always pushing their ideas that just don't work for a variety of reasons. Sometimes the ideas are a bit naive, sometimes they may be good, but not consistent with the overall creative vision, sometimes the idea works well for that individual, but they're missing the big picture, and sometimes, they're putting too much emphasis on the idea, which they think has some inherent value. I don't need ideas - I have a million of my own, and they are all essentially worthless. Where the value lies is in the painful hours of execution - the writing, development, structuring, etc.

Sorry for the novel, just trying to help and provide a different perspective to help Jason move on. I really feel like he should email Vince, apologize for overreacting and overdramatizing, and then maybe start sending him ideas and thoughts - maybe even thoughts and ideas that don't revolve around a role for Jason - and send without any expectation. It's hard to maintain a relationship when someone always wants something from you. Nobody wants to have to kill a friend's dreams, and if you keep putting them in that role, they're bound to want to avoid you.

A concerned and caring, cit-O-zen

Maybe my fav O-pisode ever! You guys gave us everything. Some serious talks with a true vet ... some insight from an active ufc fighter ... some political views from a canadian icon and laughs through the whole thing.

A lot of wrestling shows have popped up in the last year or 2 trying to lift your sound. Trying to do "shit talk" and make "wrestling radio" about other things like sports and homo jokes and just regular ass stuff. It really makes me laugh they think they can do it because for you guys it isnt an act its just real talk.

The wannabes are all fans of THA show but they should be showing you more respect for trail blazing!!

@Mike

Not everybody in the world can sell out buildings. You can book a guy and push him to the moon but only one in a million actually has what it takes to be "THE" guy.

Al Snow's contributions to the business were legendary and most fans wouldn't know because all they know is whats shown on TV. Snow has put alot of guys over and has helped some of todays top stars and helped develop their skills and strengths.

Not everybody can be a main eventer, in fact less than 1% of the people in this business have a quality that shouts "THE" guy.

Al Snow was fortunate enough to learn from some of the top guys and has studied the sport like his life depended on it.

Savage & Steamboat had a great match and I'd enjoy it over Hogan vs. Andre but look at it from a casual fans point of view, whats more impressive? Crisp holds and good exchanges or a guy slamming a 500+ pounder when nobody believed he could? The latter choice is the majority and the majority of the wrestling audience are casual viewers.
