"Hell-O, Dexter Morgan."
John Cena wishes he was Dexter Morgan. Dexter has managed to do two very important things that John Cena has failed to do. Two things Hulk Hogan did for so many years that kept him on top. The first of which is that he manages to entertain me from bell to bell every single episode. No word of a lie, "Dexter" time is the only hour each week that I ignore my phone (that's one heavy task for a smartphone owner).
The other Hulk Hogan-esque quality Dexter has is that even though we all know he's winning in the end, there's a suspension of disbelief where as we watch we're thinking "Holy shit, that's it. He's done. There's no way he's gonna get out of this." Lundy was searching for him and I had this feeling like, "Dude, he's FBI he HAS to be able to notice something off about Dex."
Doakes figured him out and I thought, "Shit, he's actually gonna get away and prove Dexter's the Bay Harbor Butcher." At the end of this week's episode I didn't know what to think; Arthur is in the clear for the Trinity case, he knows Dexter's real name and where he works and he knows Dex is up to something and there's nothing Dexter can do about it.
It's hard not to believe that Arthur Mitchell is a threat to Dexter. He's killed and gotten away with it almost as long as Dexter's been alive and he's shown that he's not about being fucked around with by smashing the real Kyle Butler's head off the floor a half dozen or so times. It's just a shame that they most likely won't keep Trinity around for another season because I'm digging Arthur Mitchell as a legit threat and perfect foil for Dexter.
As far as foils go, I'm also down with Elliot in a Miz/X-pac way. Just the look of his face annoys me. I'm also retracting my down-ness of Donnie's 'Elliot takes over Dexter's family so Dexter can go back to killing in peace' theory. I'm actually not even sure if I'm still feeling my own theory about Cody being abducted, with only one episode left it would seem too rushed. I think Mr. Morgan may be in for the long haul with Rita and the kids. Or at least a longer haul than Batista and Laguerta are in for.
I definitely O'ed when Matthews turned on the security camera footage of Angel and Maria. I was so hype at the thought one of them would have to leave, because as a couple they just plain creep me out. A bad creepy, like a low budget Telelatino Network softcore porn vibe; not a good creepy like I get from Captain Matthews. That guy can definitely go somewhere as a main character. I've long had a theory about him knowing about Dexter's Dark Passenger and killing Harry and making it look like an overdose to protect Dex from Harry turning him in. Crazy theory? I know. But imagine the possibilities if they end Deb's search for her dad's CI crush with her finding out his suicide might not have been a suicide.
Heading in to the last episode I'm actually at a loss for ideas of what's about to go down. All I know is that Deb still has to talk to the crazy bitch that boned her dad, Dex still has a major blowout in the family to deal with and a final showdown with Trinity. After that I'm stumped. The great thing about "Dexter" is that you can predict a thousand different scenarios and they'll pull something completely unexpected out. So Osters, comment with your theories and "hopictions" and let's see if at least one of us can't get a couple things right.

Hello...DEXTER MORGAN
Good article, dude. This show has me staring at my screen and just either cringing at what's gonna happen next or wonderng when Dexter is gonna get caught. And when he doesn't get caught its not in some way that insults us. There's no deux ex machina shit going on and I love that.
I dont want Guerta in a relationship. Her vagina is poison. Yes, she is hot (been watching her for over a decade) but she's bad news. I'm glad that Christine is gone. Good friggin' riddance. Quinn hopefully will be distracted enough with that shit to leave Dexter alone for a while. He doesnt wanna end up blown up.
I'm mad that next week is the last one. I shall miss it dearly.
