WTF?? Umaga Released!

Posted on WWE.com today: World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown superstar Umaga as of today, June 8 2009. WWE wishes Umaga the best in his future endeavours.

WTF??

You have a 300 pounder who is a very gifted worker, an awesome character and was a legit main eventer on the "Raw" brand not very long ago. He was moved to "SmackDown!" to strengthen their roster. An untimely injury kept him out for quite sometime, but Umaga returned not very long ago and looked to be as good as ever.

His gimmick was fresh, and yet they fucked with it by having him talk. He had a whole roster full of guys he could be programmed with, and yet they had him job repeatedly to CM Punk before working his last match at the Extreme Rules PPV.

Already speculation has started about substance abuse, and backstage politics. By all accounts, Umaga (real name Eddie Fatu) was a well liked individual and stayed clear of garbage.

The 36 year old veteran has been around. He had previously worked in the WWE as a member of 3 Minute Warning with cousin Matt Anoa'i (Rosey). In 2003, he was a member of the TNA roster, competing under the name Ekmo with Sonny Siaki as his tag team partner.

Rumours have already started that TNA is looking to sign Eddie Fatu to add him to Samoa Joe's Nation Of Violence.

More on this shocking release as it becomes available.

He had 1 public strike from the Wellness Policy and was fired before for a bar fight. Also had his fair share of injuries lately, so perhaps it was a combination of things with some incident being the last straw.

First Kennedy, now Youmanga? Who will be next?

Maybe he was also released because he didn't suck enough cock, that's the way it is in Vinceland!

Meltzer says Umaga is telling people that he quit.

And he is insinuating that WWE has had a drug test and Batista injury is a cover-up for a wellness suspension.

Umaga was systematically taken apart over time. His mouthpiece Estrada? Gone. His silver grill? Gone. His mystique? Gone. I mean, we all knew he was in 3 Minute Warning and as soon as that memory fades eve more they have him open his damned mouth.

Maybe he quit. Maybe he was fired. Maybe he bumped into Orton's shoulder the wrong way and got a good talking to. Or maybe he got enough cash for a few more tattoos.

Fatu is released and Bati is the champ? WTF, Vince

The best move for him is to move to Japan. He will get his contract back with the fed.

No matter the "potential" or previous (failed) gimmicks, failing your second drug test and refusing rehab seems to be a good enough reason to get shit canned. At least that's what the E is telling.
