Who's In - Who's Out?

A very busy Tuesday for comings and goings in pro wrestling!

First the positives: Christian Cage made his long anticipated return to WWE tonight, as a member of the ECW roster. Christian's reaction was luke-warm at best. They have positioned him as a babyface. He was in the ring with Jack Swagger and issued a challenge to the winner of the ECW title match following No Way Out.

People will debate the relative merits of Christian debuting on the "third tier program" but, in made me tune in to ECW live for the first time in ages ... I say well done. It does however bait out the result of the ECW title match on Sunday - not that it was ever in doubt.

Also debuting on ECW - an O Show favourite! Our homie TJ Wilson finally showed up on TV under the moniker Tyson Kidd. Unlike so many developmental talents, Kidd started his television career with a win! Kidd is also being managed by his real life fiance, Natalya Neidhart. Very cool indeed.

On the shitty side of things:

TNA has released a pair of guys...

Lance Rock (AKA Lance Hoyt) has been released, and the more shocking one - "Maple Leaf Muscle" Petey Williams is no longer a member of the TNA roster.

Williams lost a Loser Leaves Town Match on television. At first it seemed this may have just been an angle, but I have received word from two reputable sources that this is infact a legitimate parting of ways.

"Little Petey Pump" will be missed by TNA fans, that's for damn sure.

I dont think TJ fought Noble, he beat some Vietnamese guy. Looked very strong though, and I really hope they use him and Noble, along with other guys that they could bring over, to set up a cruiserweight division on ECW. There's got to be a reason why the small guys like Jimmy Wang Yang, who barely get TV time now, made the cuts.

WWE misses a big opportunity if they don't sign Petey Williams in my opinion. I actually see them giving him a chance, since he has the skills, as well as the look. I'm shocked that TNA let this guy go, and it seemed to come out of nowhere.

Christian's debut was pretty stale, but its good that he's back, and will probably hit his stride in a month or so. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if 3/4 of the live crowd didnt know who the guy was.

T.J. Wilson fought a guy named Bao Nguyen.
When will we hear that DH Smith is going to ECW, because Hart Foundation 2.0 is coming and is soon to be seen on ECW.

Petey Williams should get a WWE deal.
ANd then the WWE should reinstate the cruiserweight championship and make that an interbrand title.

Talk is still that WWE wants Harry in Legacy.

Not sure about tagging him with TJ in ECW since ECW doesn't really do tags. You have Morrison and Miz, but their cocky heel gimmick and the fact they have straps -- they rep the belts on other shows more often than ECW

Despite dirt sheet rumors, Eric Young has NOT been fired... DON'T FIRE ERIC!!!!

Jimmy Rave has also been let go.

Petey Williams is now taking indy bookings, and can be contacted through canam@bordercitywrestling.com
