Tuesday Turn-Table

The biggest story of the week, without a doubt is that the LAST guy you want to see on your disabled list right now is on it. Shawn Michaels, has a torn tricep muscle following his contract signing segment on "Raw" last night. Kind of reminds you of when Edge tore his pec during that party segment on "SmackDown!" Kind of weird how guys who defy logic and take insane risks in the ring, get hurt in non wrestling situations.

HBK has already told anyone that would listen that he will work his match at Unforgiven no matter what.

Kevin Nash did a very interesting interview with a Baltimore based paper this past week. He talked about the HBK-Jericho angle and said how he hasn't been able to stand Jericho's Bon Jovi persona and hopes he stays focused and makes this new gimmick work. He also stated that if anyone could get Jericho over as a heel it'd be HBK. Nash went on to say, that Michaels is the Michael Jordan of wrestling. "There's Shawn, and then there's everybody else".

Nash also said in that same interview that he does have the ability in TNA to veto any idea that he feels compromises his safety. He joked about not having any interest in working barbed wire tables / burning ladders / gimmick matches. He said why would I want to do that? Let that Devine kid do it. Many are taking this as typical old Nash burrying the undersized midcard - but suggesting they have to work harder than he does to get over.

It's like WCW all over again. At least he didn't call anyone a vanilla midget. The last guy he nailed with that handle went insane.

On a non-wrestling note... former Toronto Raptor head coach Darrell Walker was inducted into the Arkansas Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday night. He stated that his goal is to be a head coach in the NBA again someday. Keep in mind, Walker has a career .331 winning percentage after coaching the Raps and the Washinton Wizards. Hey Darrell - fuck you!

Speaking of the Wizards - hey Arenas ... fuck you too!

Am I the only one who finds this odd? Go Shiazaki worked the SmackDown! tapings this week and was managed by... Tony Atlas. Is there an open casting call for Asian tough guys to second Mark Henry right now? If Go's audition goes about as wll as Morishima's, maybe I can suggest next week's Japanese protege. How about Akira Raijin? The former Ontario worker, and native of All Japan Pro is apparently on TNA's radar right now, and the fed may want to scoop him.

Did you hear the story about Santino Marella giving back? It's often been said on Tha O Show by one of Santino's best friends, O Show regular Rico Montana, that Marella is one of the "real good guys". This proves it. Marella made yet another donation (this one in the amount of $500.00) to FCW. The memo on the cheque simply said "Thinking of you". Amazing humility and gratitude for a man who came up from the Fed's developmental.

Imagine if every guy who came up from developmental donated a piece of their pay to the company who prepared them for their career. C'mon Cena. Batista. Open your cheque books you cheap bastards.

Fuck you JR. Just cuz.

What's more annoying? Constant reports on Carlito's state of happiness or constant reports about Kurt Angle still wanting to enter into MMA?

Sentana Sports did an interview with Eric Hibler of Pittsburgh's Fight Club confirming that Kurt Angle has been training at their facility for an MMA debut. Memo to Kurt: Shut the fuck up already.

Speaking of Kurt - another juicy rumor making the rounds is that he and Booker T are using their influence to try and get Bobby Lashley hired in TNA. But here's the sweet, sweet irony. People within TNA are saying that Lashley must abandon this MMA run he has planned, because a failed attempt in a small time MMA company would really hurt his stock in the public eye. The funny part is, one of the people giving Bobby this advice, is KURT HIMSELF!

Hello pot? This is the kettle calling: You're black!

Speaking of rumors .... the rumor mill is grinding hard with hot talk of Team 3D and Christian Cage returning to the WWE when their respective contracts expire in the next couple of months. Christian seems to believe there is a big payday waiting for him now that he has proven he can be a top level guy in TNA. Then again, TNA successes haven't meant much in the fed to Shannon Moore, Monty Brown, Chris Harris or (to this point) Ron Killings.

Mick Foley's WWE.com profile has been removed. Dum dum dum....

Fuck you to the douchebag dirt sheet writer who emailed me and accused ME of starting the rumors that O Show member and indy star, Miss Danyah had signed a WWE contract. No, she hasn't and no I didn't report it. I hadn't even heard the rumor till Danyah told me about it.

I will be at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend for the premiere of The Wrestler featuring Mickey Rourke and many names from the wrestling biz, including former O Show guest, Romeo Rosselli. Mickey better be wearing his O Show t-shirt or he may eat a Donnie Valley Driver.

You know what I saw on Raw last night? I saw that Randy Orton has a MAJOR run as a top face in him. The crowd was red hot for him when he ran down all the heel champs, and then BOOM outta here with the babyface shit. Heel Orton in tha house. Sick.

Deepest sympathies again to the Kowalski family.

And hey T.I.D. - good luck this weekend - and fuck you too.

I hearda few months back that Orton was going ot have a heel stable including Dibiase & Rhodes, with a fourth memeber. And from the looks of RAW that seems to have planted the seed tonite, if they still want to go that route in the future.

And i hope they do get that group together. And give Rhodes & Dibiase a Fuckin Huge rub, similar to Orton & Batista from Evolution.

Dibiase is the future of the business. I said it.....

Big Daddy Donnie wrote about doing a 2nd generation stable on Raw like two years ago. I think the perfect fourth guy would be Harry Smith.

"Perfect" guy for that stable would be Curt Henning's son. Harry Smith is off doing his own thing in developmentals, bring him in later, but don't reintroduce somebody to make them part of a stable.

Nash's comments are par for the course. He's made it clear in the past that he has no loyalty whatsoever to TNA, and I'm sure that if the Fed were interested in him, he'd have been gone long ago.

Team 3D could be a big pickup for WWE's tag division, but then again, that division is so mismanaged that they may just get lost in the shuffle. As for Christian Cage, he proved he can be a big time player, but that doesn't mean the Fed will let him be. If he goes back to WWE, it's midcard all the way, and I will lose respect for him. I thought when Christian left, he had a big payday offered but turned it down because he didn't like the direction the compnay was going in. Three years later, they're still going in the same direction, guy.

Too many faces on "Raw" as it is; keep Orton as a heel for the rest of his career and he will always be money. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

Why is it that everytime I hear news about Kurt Angle, I get the feeling that he's about to do something stupid to end his career? The end of this guy's run will ultimately come way too early. The moral? Don't do steroids, kids.

Hell ya you can grill evo. Big Daddy Jerk Sauce comin soon bredrens!

By the way, DON'T believe the Observer lines about Christian being offered more money by the WWE and taking less to go to TNA. Dude got lowballed on his last WWE contract offer - which is why he wanted to jump. That and the thought that he'd be a top dog, work 70% less and live 20 minutes from "the office".

I could go on about why Christian is better off not even trying to go to the Fed, but fuck it. Article forthcoming.

Ever since I moved to the UK from Ontario, I have very little time to watch wrestling. I keep up by listening to Tha O Show and NOW by reading the Tuesday Turntable!

I love it because of the radio show I can actually hear how Donnie would say those things. The way he writes - it sounds like him talking. Awesome addition to the site!
