Tha A List Analysis: New Face of Prime-Time

Good call on Braden Walker. John Morrison isn't just the Tuesday Night Delight, he's a Mic Magician. Donnie's disciples (Happy Birthday big man) seem to think that now is the time to turn John Morrison face. Umm, no. He's been regarded as a future Randy Orton type heel, and right now while the feeling is he isn't serious enough he's still better suited as a heel.

Women love him, guys hate him because their girlfriends want him. Don't screw that up with turning him face. Keep he and Miz together. It's too good to screw with that right now. Don't jump the gun. Ryan Leaf could have been great but San Diego jumped the gun on starting him and we all know how that turned out. So ease up tiger, now isn't the time.

I hate to be negative about anything that happens on Tha A Show, but why sully the good rep of that show with this Maryse/McCool bullshit that interests no one but Taker? Sure maybe she's freaky as hell in the bedroom, but is that really a good reason to put your loyal (maybe not for long) fan-base through this? The butterfly belt needs to go, this shit needs to go, and the only logical reason I can think of is that by putting these two divas on ECW is to get them positive pub.

I'm still undecided on Ricky Ortiz, but he's growing on me, I can't figure out the sideburn thing though. It's almost like a Rock/Billy Graham combo that's got me freaked out a little. Decent worker, good size, pretty charismatic, and I haven't got to hear enough of him on the mic. Keep working him like this and I'll be completely in favor of him. One other thing, dude opens his mouth way to wide. Give him TJ's scrotum tickler, and he'll look like he's begging.

The American All American American boy from America Jack Swagger has the Oklahoma Sooner thing going for him. Other than that he still has a long way to go. Work him some more, don't take the new talent initiative and throw certain guys in certain places. Start them all the same and let them work on it for more than three weeks. I understand both sides, but it's more believable if they all earn it the same.

That damn Mike Knox though, this dude is ready. I've flipped on him completely. Give me a Mike Knox banner and it'll go behind my Cham DAMN Pain and Matt Hardy and a few others. Well he isn't in my top five, but he's working his way into the rotation. Let's just say Yankee's would love to have my bullpen. Goodbye Yankee stadium and goodbye playoff making streak. HAHAHA!

Remember when everyone said Rob Van Dam was the greatest technical Marijuana smoker never to hold a world championship and then he won it and got busted technical wrestling? Wait, maybe that's backward, but you know what I mean, I will straight up say hands down, Dave Finlay is the best damn technical wrestler to never hold a major world championship.

You almost feel bad for the guys he gets in the ring with, even though he's teaching these pups how to work, you know he's stiffing the shit out of them. Maybe not, but he makes the shit look good. Bam Neely really isn't that convincing of a bodyguard anymore. Zeke Jackson is, Bam Neely is not. Why you ask? Because Zeke Jackson fucks people up and Bam Neely eats pinfalls like Dan don't eat pums.

Mark Henry and Matt Hardy may be one of the more memorable feuds in recent WWE history. CM Punk and John Morrison was up there, but it was a more memorable ECW feud. Matt Hardy has assumed The Rock's title of People's Champion and Mark Henry is the guy seemingly everyone loves to hate, especially now. People can actually invest emotion into this feud. That's what makes it worth while.

Matt Hardy hasn't been champion a full month, but man has it resonated in places something like this usually wouldn't. People that haven't watched wrestling in a while say things like, "Yeah man, I remember Matt Hardy. He's the champ now? What channel is that on?" You tell them and they watch. It's pretty simple, maybe the E can take a hint and start doing things like this to get people to watch, when obviously we'd much rather watch MNF, House and Fringe, or go out on Friday night. Let things write themselves, and use common sense and don't put so much emphasis on comedy.

Quick results...
*Finlay def. Bam Neely
*Maryse def. Michelle McCool non butterfly match
*Mike Knox def. Chase Stevens
*John Morrison vs. Miz ends in Double Count Out

I gotta go with the unpopular side of this one. I actually like the Maryse/McCool program, and last night's match. The PPV match shit the bed, but they've improved each match since to a caliber that's topping even the Knockouts performances over the past month or three.

Werent striker and JR great together last night? Striker has really found his niche. Now if only JBL would go back behind the desk where he belongs.

Speakin of Good Ol' JR, he made a peculiar call last night. Mike Knox as champion in '08. He's got roughly 3 months, it's possible.

I've been impressed with Striker since his first night and he and JR were good together, but I like Striker and Grisham better. More fresh.

Mike Knox as champion this year would be a little too soon, but it could happen.
