MVP Diagnosed With Serious Heart Condition

Current WWE United States Champion, Montel Vontavious Porter a.k.a. MVP has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition.

This disease, known as Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is an affliction which causes an abnormal accessory pathway in the heart.

The abnormality was discovered recently when MVP (real name Alvin Burke, Jr.) was given a routine physical as part of WWE's Wellness Program.

Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome can cause an abnormal heart rhythm and increases the risk of a heart attack exponentially.

As expected, WWE is using this diagnosis to tout the company's Wellness Policy, just weeks after that same program had been the subject of questioning and ridicule.

Burke Jr. who served more than 9 years of an 18 year sentence in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping, has missed several wrestling matches because of this condition.

He is being treated and the hope is that his condition can be improved.

Terrible news, not just for MVP but for the fans. It's easy to see he has a big future in the business as one of the few personalities able to climb up to the next level, and those people people are very few and far between these days.
