First off, I would like to say congratulations to Triple H on having his surgery go off without a hitch. I am the newest and youngest member of the Tha O Show Staff (and possibly the youngest on the entire site), but I'm pretty sure that I can speak for most, if not all, of the O-sters and writers when I say that we anxiously await a triumphant return for the King Of Kings.
Now, on to the business at hand. Tonight, TNA presents its first pay-per-view of 2007, Final Resolution. Here are my predictions for how everything will unfold tonight.
Lance Hoyt VS. Chase Stevens
I'm guessing this match signals the beginning of a signals push for Stevens. Hoyt most likely won't ever break free of his role as a professional jobber.
Winner: Chase Stevens
Finals of the PCS
I am deeply saddened to see this end. However, it was fun while it lasted, and hopefully it will parlay into future storylines and feuds. Starr is the obvious choice here, as he's gotten star treatment (no pun intended) since his character's debut at Bound For Glory. Expect Sonjay Dutt to finally go postal tonight over the steroids thing. Also, expect Shelley to go equally postal after Starr is named the winner.
Winner: Austin Starr
"Cowboy" James Storm VS. "Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams
Storm's going to get a push from this. However, I believe it will stem from a feud with Harris, not Williams. I believe that Harris will return tonight to screw over Storm, setting the stage for their feud. Maybe the win will even lead to Williams getting a push in the X Division. Hopefully a title run as well.
Winner: Petey Williams
AJ Styles VS. Rhino in a Last Man Standing Match
I would like to suggest a new nickname for Rhino. The Job Machine. Styles always gets pushed when he's heel or when Russo is calling the shots. Both apply here. I am guaranteeing that he will be involved in the NWA Heavyweight Title picture after Angle wins it.
Winner: AJ Styles
LAX VS. Team 3D for the NWA Tag Team Championships
Konnan is now on the shelf for a while. TNA officials aren't entirely sure about Homicide's skills on the stick yet, so they may pull LAX into slight obscurity for a little while. Plus, Team 3D has paid their dues. They deserve some sort of token of appreciation from TNA.
Winner: Team 3D
Christopher Daniels VS. Jerry Lynn VS. Chris Sabin for the X Division Title
I'm not even going to attempt to lie...I have no clue which direction they're going with this one. There are so many possible scenarios given who's competing and the circumstances in which they are involved in this storyline. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Lynn will get a short run with the title, even though I am probably wrong.
Winner: Jerry Lynn
Abyss VS. Christian Cage VS. Sting in a NWA Heavyweight Championship Elimination Match
This one is easy. The obvious, logical choice is Cage. He's still undefeated, and they've begun to mention it now and then during "iMPACT!". Sting will go first, then Abyss. Cage will walk out the champion and begin a feud with the ridiculously over babyface Kurt Angle - who will then snap another undefeated streak.
Winner: Christian Cage
Samoa Joe VS. Kurt Angle in an Ironman Match
The idea of this match alone makes me want to do anything to be able to see this event (as I can't order it at my house because I have basic cable...I need to take a road trip up to Toronto sometime this summer and watch one of the TNA PPV's with Dan-e-o and Big Daddy Donnie. How about it, guys? I'll spring the 30 for it). Anyways, back to the match itself.
Despite making the young company mistake of rushing this feud, they have done a good job of developing this storyline. It makes more sense to have Angle come out on top of this feud: his contract guarantees a title run, and they're still trying to build up Samoa Joe like WWE did with Edge. Angle wins, uses the victory as kayfabe leverage to get the match from Cornette, and wins it. This is my early pick for match of the year, with Angle coming out on top by a score of, oh...let's say, 3-2.
Winner: Kurt Angle, 3-2

An update from the world of Ontario indy pro wrestling: Man, Samoa Joe is a workhorse!
Big Daddy Donnie and I had the pleasure of meeting and calling the matches of Samoa Joe this past weekend.
Joe is now the new PWA Champion as he defeated Eddie Osbourne Thursday night.
He went on to defend the title successfully against "Unreal" Michael Elgin at the GCW "New Year's Evil" event in Oshawa on Friday (DVD coming soon).
And then Joe not only put on a wrestling seminar during the afternoon, but defeated the mighty Asylum at Stranglehold Wrestling's event last night in Hamilton. (DVD also on the way).
And tonight he goes one on one with Kurt Angle!!
A true pro.
2 for 8. My predictions were about as lame as The Miz. Hoo-rah.
How old are you man? At the tender age of 15 i'm not sure if you beat me haha.
