Damn! How are you going to have Bobby Lashley main event "SmackDown!" one week...and then completely take him off the show the next week?
Speaking of which, how the hell are you gonna have Chris Benoit win the U.S. Championship one week and not have him even appear the following week?!?! What gives?!?!?
This, my friends, is what you call nonsensical. Downright dumb. Mind-boggling. ESPECIALLY when you're banking on these dudes to rack up the points in the WWE Fantasy game!
Thanks to the above mentioned gaffs committed by WWE writers, I've dropped in Tha "O" League standings. This sucks.
But beware O-sters...revenge is mine! Here are the standings after week 2:
1 The Smashin' Masters
2 Better_Than_Dan-e-o
3 LO Destruction
4 BigDaddyDonnie
5 Second City Saints
6 Phenominal_Angles
7 Dan-e-o
8 The Omega Ones
9 TheEndustry
10 fabulousBagiuoIgorots
11 TheBIGBang112
12 Thrones And Patriots
Gotta make mention of few things here:
Awesome "I Quit" match between Chavo Guerrero and Rey Mysterio. Last Friday's "SmackDown!" at times had the feel of a pay-per-view, and this match was one of the reasons why. I can't remember the last time a babyface uttered the words "I quit" in one of these matches, but these two demonstrated what a real "feud" in wrestling is all about.
Looks like Rey Rey will be taking some time off as WWE.com has reported that he will need knee surgery.
It's been said before, but must be mentioned again. JBL just might be the best colour commentator in the business right now. He is the Joe Rogan of WWE.
As Big Daddy likes to often mention, Rogan literally "schools" viewers on the importance of particulars moves, holds and positions utilized by various UFC fighters and explains WHY they hurt or HOW they are effective. By being so descriptive and informative, Rogan can pretty much put over any relatively unknown competitor without being forced to.
JBL did quite the same thing this past week by describing the wrestling background and family history of Dave Taylor. Putting Taylor over with mentions of his family's wrestling history and accomplishments in the business, JBL helped push someone who may have otherwise been unknown to younger wrestling fans. More importantly, it helps to push William Regal's new no-nonsense character which Donnie and I have been both predicting and hoping for, for the past several weeks.
