Thursday's Thoughts

He could be the 'NEW' next big thing, or he could be just another guy. That guy is about to debut on Smackdown. He is 6'6", 350 pound Sylvester Terkay.

The 35 year old Terkay is a former NCAA Wrestling champion (in 1993). The WWE has of course had success in recent years with amateur wrestling champs. Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley just to name a few.

Terkay is a powerhouse that uses Samoa Joe's Muscle Buster as a finish. It Should be interesting to see.

We are very happy to tell you that Bob Holly is close to returning to the WWE. For those of you who don't know or have forgotten, Holly had a horrible staph infection in his elbow that damn near took his life.

The last few months have apparently been hell for Holly, but being the tough son of a bitch he is, you just know he won't be content until he's back in the ring.

A former tag team champion and one of the staples of the now defunct hardcore division, this guy has been nothing but a loyal soldier to Vince and the entire company, and is a true professional.

On the subject of returns, it was announced this week (with a lot of internal head scratching) that Kurt Angle will make his return to ECW next Tuesday. Angle is coming off of a 30 day suspension from the WWE where he was told to get off the pain pills. Not sure if it's possible to simply take a month's vacation and get off cold turkey, but here's hoping our Olympic hero is in good shape and ready to go.

Despite conflicting reports, Kid Kash's suspension has nothing to do with his attitude and has everything to do with the results of a surprise blood test.

Our boy Billy Kidman will be back on Smackdown tomorrow night. Well sort of. Kidman worked the show under a mask against the now solo pitbull, Jamie Noble. Kidman has not been offered a spot on the roster at this time.

Remember the Dicks? Ya me either. But one of those guys - Chad Wicks worked a Raw dark match on Monday as a stripping fireman. Not really my type of gimmick, but I heard Dan-e-o popped! baaaah.

Speakin' of my boy Dan-e-o, I know he's been dyin for an update on the lovely Kristal Marshall and the injury she sustained at the bash. Apparently it's nothing more than a bruised rib. The trip to the hospital was simply a precaution. Exhale now D.

Another lady on the shelf is Victoria. The company's top female wrestler has been working for a long time with assorted knee issues - mcl, acl, miniscus. Apparently she injured her knee while working Kidman's wifey Torrie Wilson for Heat. No word on how long Victoria will be out of action, but don't bother taking her in on fantasy teams for quite a while.

Congrats to Hunter and Steph on the birth of Aurora Rose Levesque. How long before she appears on TV in a thong and a bra top calling Grandpa Vince a dirty old man?

Some O Show news...

A new logo is about to be unveiled. We've sort of been making due since our "soft launch" with a makeshift logo, but our brand is being sharply defined with this new look. It'll splattered all over the site, on t-shirts, hats, mousepads, your mom ... whatever.

Tha "show" is about to begin! Thanks to our friends at Baby Bloom Recordings, we are about to start podcasting! We recently cut a golden 35 minute interview with Steve Corino and have many other stars lined up. In addition to streaming our interviews, Dan-e-o and I are looking to host a regular radio show. Slick production, with all the attitude you've come to love from yer boys here at Tha O Show.

Also, since all you "O-sters" seem to be loving the comments and the debates have started to heat up, we've decided to launch a message board. The good people at ProBoards have provided us with an account and it will be online within the next 24 hours or so! Check the sidebar for a button to take you to the board. Post early, post often!

It's that time of the week again where I shoot my mouth off. So it's off to the races.

Sylvester Terkay. Phenomenal athlete. I'm a little iffy on his shelf life in the WWE being that he's 35 years old. But then again, Rico Constantino was in his 40's when he got his break. It'll be interesting to see how he holds up. From what little I know about Terkay, he seems to be in great shape. And being that he was discovered by Jerry Jarrett and uses Samoa Joe's muscle buster as a finisher makes it just that much more interesting. Hopefully this guy works out and get the same level of success as Angle, Lesnar, Benjamin, and Lashley.

The casual wrestling fan may not see Bob Holly's return as anything momentus, but when coming back from literally the brink of death shows just how much of a trooper Holly is. He may not be the most gifted person on the WWE roster (Smackdown at that), but he's a guy that goes out there ,gives the fans a hell of a show, and helps out the younger guys in the back. It'll be nice to see him back on tv once again in my mind.

The best thing coming from watching ECW this past Tuesday was the announcement that Kurt Angle is coming back next week. As much head scratching as i've been doing over this, i've asked myself, "Has it been 30 days already?"

Kurt's suspension was announced a few days before the ECW house show I went to here in Texas. Matter of fact, it's only been about two weeks. Makes me wonder if he was just given time off to take some rest. I know for a fact that no pain pill junkie can kick the habit in 30 days. I don't care what kind of physical shape they're in.

Kid Kash....nuff said.

Billy Kidman working a dark match under a mask. I thought this guy was happy enough working at his wrestling school in Florida? Appearently Kidman's curriculum is this..."Whenever someone goes to powerbomb you, grab the back of their head and drive it into the mat. It gets you a cheap pop."

Who are these "Dicks" you speak of?

Ten bucks says Kristal Marshall does no in-ring work with her "bruised rib" until she's "fully" healed. While on the same page, Victoria works her knees (literally) to death. Of course it doesn't help out when you work someone as sloppy as Torrie Wilson. This is another reason why I believe 90% of the Divas have no place in a wrestling ring. Although there are a few that are the exception to that. Victoria deserves a lot more than what's she already being given.

It'll be a few years before we see Aurora Rose "McMahon", as she'll probably be called, in a bra & panties match. And by a few years, i'm hoping it means never. Unless she looks like her mom and then it's okay. If she has the workrate and quality of her mom, i'll be the first to nail her to a cross.

And for "Tha Show"...

You better pucker up that asshole Dave Meltzer...Tha O Show is coming to knock you off your pedestal.

Keep up the fucking good work guys.

Team Tom calls a foul...

Jerry Jarrett's behemoth was Oleg Prudius, who is not Sylvester Terkay.

I believe Prudius is currently in deep South.

Yep...he's right.

Oleg is indeed at DSW.

Terkay is a MMA fighter with a 3-1-0 record from the K1 Heros promotion.

While Im not holding my breath with Terkay either way -- I am happy for Holly's pinfall over death and look forward to his triumphant return. I've been a fan of Holly's work ethic, loyalty, and finisher for quite some time now. I hope he gets some sort of push off of this.

And I'm crossing my fingers conserning Victoria. I've loved that girl ever since she licked Stacy Keibler. She's one of the few Diva's who can be both sexy, athletic, and talented. She deserves WAY more than what she's getting now.

Where did I say i'd nail their newborn baby to the cross? That's why I threw in "It'll be a few years" and "And by a few years, i'm hoping it means never".

Then the "let's nail Aurora Rose to the cross" comment is dead until brought up again.
