As mentioned on this week's episode of Tha O Show, Dan-e-o's The School of Rap hip-hop songwriting program is proudly releasing yet another album! In association with Art Starts and Montage Support Services, this Sunday, May 31st marks the official release of Visionists.The CD Launch Party takes place between 2-4pm at 504 Oakwood Avenue (at Amherst) and is FREE to the public! Copies of Visionists will be on sale for just $5 and all proceeds will go towards future Art Starts programs in the Oakwood & Vaughan area.
FREE food will also be served!
The Visionists album features rising stars Bull3t, Chato, Mad Max, J-Tone, Lucho, MC Andy & MC A.G. who have all been participating in Dan-e-o's The School of Rap hip-hop songwriting program since March.
Visionists is a first for Dan-e-o and Art Starts as it includes work by individuals with cerebral palsy. With the assistance of Montage Support Services, this album has helped to make dreams come true that were before thought of as unrealistic.
The album encapsulates the "visions" of the multi-cultural youth of the Oakwood & Vaughan community in Toronto as it relates to their neighbourhood and life experiences. Visionists was recorded, mixed and mastered by T.J. Habibi at Secret Suburbia Studios and features production by Monolith's Dan-e-o, Charisma and Lancecape.
