
"Rampage" was booked into the Orange County Jail for investigation of felony evasion, hit and run, and reckless driving according to Costa Mesa Police Department's Lt. Paul Dondero. Bail for the MMA superstar is set at $25,000, but that could change. The Orange County DA could opt to add more charges due to the danger Jackson created by driving onto the sidewalks.
Police recieved report of an incident on the 55 Freeway near 19th street in Costa Mesa in which a large pickup truck had struck other vehicles and then fled the scene. A Costa Mesa police officer spotted the pickup in a seperate collision, where the truck then drove away towards Newport Beach.
The pickup had a tire damaged in one of the collisions was pulled over in Newport Beach and Jackson was taken into Police custody without incident according to Lt. Dondero. Dondero did report that there were no injuries in the various incidents.
Spokeswoman Jennifer Wenk of the UFC said that the UFC officials are aware of Jackson's arrest and at the time had no comment.
