Are some girls worth the trouble? They may be hot, sexy, and beautiful, but if you're a professional wrestler sometimes your girl just ain't worth the hassle she will cause you.

As long as wrestling has been around, women have been there to ruin someones career. Whether they got them fired, in trouble, or buried by creative, these Jezebels just aren't worth the stress they are putting on the lives of some men. True, I'd probably sell my car to be CM Punk on a Saturday night, but is the lovely Maria really worth the heat she's causing him?

Why don't you ask Johnny Nitro, Matt Hardy or Billy Kidman just what kind of curse it is being involved with a woman in wrestling.

The most famous example of a woman spoiling a wrestler's career is Matt Hardy. After dating Lita for over five years, Matt was fired after the story of her affair with Edge became public. Matt was at home nursing a knee injury when the love affair went down between his best friend and his girlfriend. This came after Matt got himself in major heat when he asked Vince to be moved from "SmackDown!" to "Raw" just so he and Lita could be on the same schedule.

The crazy things we do for love. Poor Matt Hardy eventually got his job back, but is still reminded every week of the affair courtesy of JBL in commentary. I still crack up when Bradshaw screams, "this guy cried on the internet about his girlfriend dumping him."

Currently in the doghouse because of their significant other is Johnny Nitro. Melina has had the reputation from her days in OVW for being a bit "difficult" at times. Poor Johnny is now taking the blame for Melina's most recent heat seeking explosion. No word on exactly who Melina pissed off, but Johnny just jobbed to CM Punk in a "Money In The Bank" qualifying match. A month ago, I doubt Johnny would be jobbing in such a match. Johnny goes from being involved in the K-Fed storyline to jobbing on ECW all because of his girl.

For years one of wrestling's most successful couples Torrie Wilson and Billy Kidman enjoyed a healthy and prosperous marriage. Dating from their days in WCW, both enjoyed great success early in their careers, but as time went on it became obvious that Torrie was becoming the breadwinner. Torrie's rising success came just as her husband was at a low point in his career.

After Billy was fired from WWE their relationship became strained. Torrie even took time off from WWE periodically to be with her husband after Billy suffered from depression following his release. The two eventually divorced. Would Torrie and Billy still be together if it wasn't for wrestling? Who knows, but this business is not kind to married couples who are both involved in wrestling.

I don't understand why there are so many problems for people having relationships in wrestling. Unless you're Stephanie and Hunter, your relationship is doomed from the start with people intentionally trying to sabotage you. I can remember a source close to WWE tell me that once the relationship between Maria and CM Punk became public, his career would be over.

It seems now a lot of road agents are looking for excuses to hate on Punk, but is dating Maria the sole reason? No way. But why is she even a reason at all? It would be one thing if Maria was a heat magnet like Melina, but from all accounts, Maria Kanellis is well liked by all and her actions would not cause Punk problems with management.

I know a lot of young indy wrestlers come to our site. My friends, I have some advice for you all. For the sake of your career, it would be wise not to have a relationship with a female wrestler or any woman associated with the promotion you work for. You might find yourself in a situation where you're buried by management, or worse, fired because of your romance. Your personal and professional life must be kept as separate as possible when you make your living as a pro wrestler
