Dexter's Latest Threat

Actor Michael C. Hall, 38, who we all know and love as Dexter Morgan on the hit Showtime series “Dexter” has revealed that he has been battling a form of cancer. Hodgkin’s lymphoma has a very high success rate (near 90%) when treated early which his was. He is actually near the end of his treatment and had been keeping the fact that he was ill a secret for fans.

He was quoted as saying “I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care.” For those of you that don’t know who Michael C. Hall or what the show “Dexter” is (tell Amelia Earhart and Bin Laden I said hello) let me give you a quick breakdown.

Michael C. Hall became known to me from his work on “Six Feet Under” where he played a gay funeral director. I vaguely remembered him from the movie “Paycheck” and honestly didn’t know if I could forget his character David Fisher and his many man fests on “Six Feet Under” and pull off being a serial killer who only kills the bad guys. We all know how that turned out. Seasons later and it was by far the best show last year.

Hall will be attending the Golden Globe awards this weekend where “Dexter” is nominated for best television drama. I can think of maybe five other categories that should be added to that list but whatever. Just glad to see the show getting some love. The show is also being nominated at the Screen Actor’s Guild ceremony which is coming up soon.

I’m sure I speak for everyone from Tha O Show and every O-Ster out there when I say I wish Michael C. Hall a speedy recovery and good luck with winning every award he and “Dexter” are nominated for. And of course in traditional wrestling style let me end this by saying:

“If ‘Dexter’ loses we riot!”

My dad just got over that exact kind of cancer. Good to know Mr. C Hall is too!

Also spare a thought for heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio, who is currently receiving his third round of chemo for stomach cancer as I type this: www.ronniejamesdio.com
