TLC Recap

* Christian {C} v. Shelton Benjamin (ECW Championship Ladder Match)

Both men start off simply with a collar and elbow tie up. Shelton overpowers him to the corner and the two break up. Second try and Christian gets the better of it then finishes off a series of moves into the ropes with a dropkick. Benjamin hits a springboard leg lariat.

It seems our announce team for this match is Matt Striker, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. Christian's Killswitch is countered into a backbreaker on Benjamin's knee, and he goes outside to get a ladder.

Christian gives chase and knocks him into the ringside barricade. Benjamin cuts him off before he can take a ladder down to put into the ring, then he starts to bring one in of his own.

While he's busy Christian gets back in the ring and dives over the ropes to wipe Benjamin out, then brings the ladder in himself and sets it up under the belt. Benjamin gets back in and yanks him off before he can get to the top. Benjamin tries to go up and Christian treats him the same way then throws him out to the floor. He folds the ladder back up to use as a weapon but Benjamin sweeps the legs from outside to smack the ladder right into his face.

Benjamin sets up a ladder outside the ring while "doctors" work over a cut on Christian's face. Striker is saying that in the state of Texas doctors must immediately attend to a wounded opponent. Crowd starts booing and chanting WE WANT BLOOD. The doctor finally gets out of the way, Benjamin tries to go up a ladder, Christian throws him over the barricade. Shelton recovers and goes back up the ladder again and then does a swanton off the top into Christian!

Shelton recovers firt and slugs Christian, then works his way over to the announce table and rips it apart before bridging the ladder from the table to the ring apron. They start to brawl around the ladder, Christian winds up underneath it, but he kicks Benjamin away into a nearby ladder before Benjamin can give him a catapult into it. The two work their way back into the ring and Christian gets whipped into a ladder in the corner. Benjamin props the ladder up on a prone Christian's face and goes across the ring to get a running start, but Christian throws the ladder into his face before he can get there!

Christian sets up the ladder and climbs to get the title but Benjamin tips it over before he can get to the top. Shelton hits a whip kick then props a ladder up against the ropes, and it nearly falls into him while he's working with Christian. Benjamin knocks him down, shoves one ladder aside, sets up another and gets a hand on the belt before Christian climbs up from behind and gives him a neckbreaker off the ladder!

Christian recovers first, climbs, the belt is swinging wildly so he goes back down and tries to throw the ladder into Benjamin's face. Benjamin jumps on the ladder and tries to tip it back to the center! Christian tips it back out and he lands on the ropes. Benjamin rebounds and comes off the top of the ladder with a clothesline! Shelton goes up to the top again and he's nearly got the belt unhooked before Christian catches up to him. Benjamin puts Christian on his shoulder and bombs him into the canvas!

Benjamin splashes Christian into a ladder in the corner and again goes up for the title. Christian pulls the ladder out from underneath Benjamin and he hangs from the hook! Christian tries to knock him off with a ladder like a pinata. Christian sets up another ladder and climbs up, shoving Benjamin off, but Shelton does the same to him and leaves him hanging! Benjamin grabs him out of the air and POWERBOMBS him into a ladder in the corner.

Both men climb up opposite sides, Christian has a hand on it first, Benjamin goes for a sunset flip off the ladder but Christian counters him and leaves him "locationally challenged" as Lawler would say. They brawl on the apron next to the bridged ladder with Shelton trying to pull him off the apron, Christian backkicks him through the ropes, climbs up the corner and SPLASHES BENJAMIN THROUGH THE LADDER TO THE FLOOR.

The ladder is broken in two, Benjamin is down and out on the floor, Christian is all aone in the ring and he climbs up to unhook the belt! WINNER AND STILL ECW CHAMPION: CHRISTIAN. Captain Charisma sits triumphant on top of the ladder as we go to highlights from the match. We go to highlights of DX brawling with JeriShow from Monday night.

* John Morrison {C} v. Drew McIntyre (Intercontinental Championship Match)

McIntyre seems to have a height and weight advantage in this match, and uses both to overpower him the first time they collid. Morrison gets an arm wringer on the second try and McIntyre punches him in the face and gets a 1 count. McIntyre stretches him out with a palm to his face but John gets back to his feet, slides underneath and hits an arm drag. Morrison hits him with a kick to the head while he's down and gets a near fall. McIntyre rolls out and the ref starts to count. Morrison follows him out and Drew elevates him into a steel ringpost face first!

McIntyre throws him back in to make another near fall. For the next couple of minutes Drew works him over with near falls and submission holds. Jumping vertical suplex for two. Drew grinds his face into the mat as Striker puts over "the striation of the left deltoid" as what damage he's doing to Morrison.

John finally breaks free and counters a McIntyre whip into a DDT leaving both men down! They recover at about the same time and start brawling. Morrison hits a boot to the head for 2. Morrison with a top rope missile drop kick for 2.8. Drew pulls Morrison out of the corner, first it looks like London Calling, but then he turns it into an inverted Alabama Jam for 2.95. Morrison dropkicks him through the ropes to the floor and gives chase. Morrison hits a drop toe hold into the barricade. Both men are down outside as the ref gets to 6.

Morrison throws McIntyre in then gets back in at 7. McIntyre tries to spear him in the corner and hits the ringpost. Morrison goes for Starship Pain, overshoots it, and McIntyre gets a boot under the ropes to break the pinfall. Morrison takes off his belt in anger, the ref goes to throw it out, McIntyre puts a thumb into Morrison's eyes then hits a double underhook DDT once the ref turns around for 3! WINNER AND NEW IC CHAMPION: DREW MCINTYRE.

Vince McMahon congratulates Drew backstage, and Drew promises this is only the beginning. Vince tells Josh Mathews to do his job and interview the champion. "I'm not surprised Josh. What you saw tonight was the inevitable coming to fruition. When Mr. McMahon sent me here I knew what my destiny was and how quickly it would come." Sheamus interrupts. "I have to say, that was pretty impressive. But know this - you're not the only newcomers who's going to leave TLC with gold." Josh sends us back to ringside as Sheamus and Drew glower at each other.

* Michelle McCool {C} v. Mickie James (WWE Women's Championship Match)

We have to watch a reminder of the whole "Piggie James" angle on the screen before this match gets underway. Michelle runs out of the ring the moment the bell sounds. Mickie waits patiently for her to get back in. The two roll around pulling on each other's hair until they roll right out of the ring.

Layla watches them both with a Piggie James tanktop on. Back in the ring Mickie tries to octopus her from behind but McCool manages to throw her into the corner turnbuckle. The ref checks to see that she's not knocked out and then signals the match can continue.

Michelle drags her to the center for a 2 count, snaps her over by the hair, and works knees to the back for another near fall. McCool applies a submission chinlock from behind, Mickie tries to fight out with elbows, McCool smashes her face down into the mat and struts around the ring like a peacock engendering boos from the crowd.

Mickie gets back to her feet, McCool says "you like that Piggie James huh?" and Mickie starts to get fired up but McCool knocks her down for a 2 count before arguing with the ref. Mickie tries a roll up for a near fall. McCool throws her out of the ring and wipes her hands like it's all over.

She goes out and casually puts a boot to her head before whipping her into the barricade. She goes back in and leaves Mickie out on the floor as the ref barks at Layla for interfering. McCool charges Mickie and misses, going knee first into the barricade, and Mickie goes on offense. Layla distracts her so McCool can get away but back in the ring Mickie hits a dropkick for 2.

The two brawl, Mickie hits a series of clotheslines, signals it's time to finish it, but McCool floats her to the apron. Mickie tries to go top rope, Layla shoves her off, McCool accidentally hits the big boot on Layla instead of Mickie, it's not enough to give Mickie an advantage though because McCool gets a thrust kick to the belly and pins her for three. WINNER AND STILL CHAMPION: MICHELLE MCCOOL. Video package of Ventura's "Breakthrough" to crown Sheamus the new #1 contender follows.

* John Cena {C} v. Sheamus (WWE Championship Tables Match)

It's hard to hear what the crowd in San Antonio sounds like, but the majority of the people at DJ's Dugout seem to be booing when the champ comes out second. Justin Roberts gives us the big match introductions for both men. Actually neither man seems that popular at DJ's but Sheamus may be SLIGHTLY less hated. Cena gets a pop from the women in the crowd when he takes his shirt off.

Sheamus signals for him to come get some not once, but twice. Cena looks around perplexed and the crowd starts to chant for him. Cena charges in and hits fists then runs Sheamus from one corner to the other before a big bulldog and sound ground and pound.

He smacks Sheamus face into a turnbuckle but Sheamus finally recovers and counters before hitting Cena with a big boot. Vertical suplex follows. Sheamus with some ground 'n pound of his own and a big knee lunge. Sheamus goes outside to get a table as Cena is woozy in the ring, but Cena recovers quickly and throws him into the announce table repeatedly.

I wonder if the announce table counts as a "table" for purposes of the match stip. Cena continues to brawl with Sheamus outside. Sheamus throws him shoulder first into a steel ringpost and sells the fact his shoulders and back are already bruised up (easy to see on his pale skin). Cena recovers and whips Sheamus into the steel steps.

Cena sets up a table, drapes Sheamus over it, he goes back in the ring to the top rope but Sheamus recovers and slides off. Cena chases Sheamus, but gets the worst of it when he's caught coming into the ring, and ends up eating a big bomb that Lawler reminds us would have finished the match had a table been there. Cena rolls away in pain and pulls himself up the ropes on the apron.

Sheamus decks him twice and he hangs on for dear life trying not to fall backwards through the table he set up. Cena finally spears him with a shoulder through the ropes and steps back into the ring. Cena gets him up for an Attitude Adjustment but Sheamus grabs the ropes to prevent going from the ring through the table and knocks Cena back down. Sheamus and Cena go outside and Sheamus knocks him into the apron kidney first.

While Lady J and I discuss Sheamus' lack of pigmentation, Cena recovers and gets the upper hand in the brawl outside. They work their way past the table up the ramp, Cena gets Sheamus on his shoulders again, but Sheamus fights out, hits a big boot, tucks Cena for a powerbomb but Cena floats over and lands on his feet when Sheamus goes for the move. They continue to brawl their way up the ramp and Cena counters a suplex into one of his own on the steel.

Cena goes back down to the table, folds it down, puts it on his shoulder and goes running towards Sheamus with it, who rolls out of the way at the last second as Cena swings it down at him. Would that count as "going through the table" if the table had broken over his head? We'll never know.

They brawl through the crowd and Cena clotheslines him over the barricade back towards the ring. The more I think about it, the more I realize how poorly defined a "tables" match really is. Cena sets up another table outside the ring but when he gets back in the ring Sheamus hits Cena AGAIN with a big boot, which they have now dubbed The Irish Curse. Sheamus leaves the ring and pulls out another table, throwing it into the ring in front of a prone Cena.

He props it up in the corner, stares at it for a second (undoubtedly remembering both Santino and Mark Cuban), picks Cena up but Cena escapes and tries to go for an STFU (which Striker reminds us won't get the win) and Sheamus counters out of it, leading to a brawl Cena wins and finishes with a Five Knuckle Shuffle. Sheamus throws the table out right before Cena can hit the Attitude Adjuster. Cena goes outside and folds an already prepared table to bring it in the ring. Cena sets up the table in the middle of the ring as some members of the crowd boo.

Cena pulls Sheamus up, sets him on the second rope, puts him on his back, stands up on the second rope but Sheamus recovers and counters, shoving Cena to the canvas. Sheamus and Cena brawl, Cena gets the better of it and climbs back up to the top rope looking for a superplex, Sheamus fights it off for all he's worth and throws Cena off through the table! WINNER AND NEW WWE CHAMPION: SHEAMUS!!!

Sheamus starts over him, his sweaty hair in a mop, holding up his newly won belt with a wild look of near disbelief in his eyes. Sheamus jumps out of the ring with the belt on his shoulder as two officials attempt to help Cena up, and backs up the ramp smiling and yelling as the crowd pans in on the sight of children in total shock and disbelief. Cena finally recovers, wipes away the tears, looks at the broken table in front of him, and you can tell he's stunned.

He picks up a piece of the table and puts it in his jean shorts before walking to the back. Tribute to the Troops promo follows. When we return to live action Switchfoot is thanked for providing tonight's theme song and we go to a video package for Batista v. Undertaker.

* The Undertaker {C} v. Dave Batista (World Heavyweight Title Chairs Match)

Batista comes out first, hopping up and down as usual, stopping on the ramp like he's going to do the machine gun pyros... then keeps right on going. I guess that it would be a babyface move for him to do so. There's a whole wall of chairs hung down from the ceiling, although most of them would be out of reach for either man to grab. Undertaker's entrance pops the crowd in San Antonio and in the bar. Batista SHAKES DEM ROPES and acts unconcerned as the Dead Man slowly creeps his way to the ring through the fire and fog.

Undertaker finally pulls the hat down over his rolled up eyes at 9:38 PM EST and we get Tony Chimel to make the big match introductions, starting with Batista. Looks like Lil' Naitch is our referee in charge for this contest. Batista immediately bails out and gets a chair after the opening bell. Taker stands on it when he tries to throw it in. He goes for a second one and the two start to fight outside. They're back in the ring seconds later and Taker is putting him down to the ground with kicks.

Batista sweeps the chair he tries to bring in to the floor so Taker can't use it. Batista finally recovers and hits a clothesline for the first near fall. Big Dave charges and Taker pulls the ropes down. He follows outside to slam Big Dave into the steel steps. he picks up a chair but Batista blocks and slams Taker's head into the steps. They go up the ramp to grab chairs, Taker flings one wildly and somehow it manages to land perfectly in the ring!

Taker throws Dave over the padded barricade and tosses two more chairs into the ring. He charges Big Dave for a big boot and crotches himself when Batista moves, who then whacks him with a chair that some ringside official (timekeeper perhaps) was once sitting in. Taker moves an electrical cable out of the way as Big Dave continues to bruise him up with the butt of the chair.

They brawl back towards the ring, Dave takes one big swing but Taker ducks and Dave hits the ringpost before dropping the chair. Next up, a leg drop on the apron from the Dead Man. The fight continues in the ring with Batista working Taker over on the ropes. Lady J catches my attention to tell us our car is iced down right now. Well I'm sure the beating it's taking is better than what either man in the ring is getting.

I turn back to watch and Batista is going for a Demon Bomb onto a steel chair, but Taker counters into a high back bodydrop on said same. BOO and YAY punches follow. Whip into the ropes sets up a perfect Demon Bomb for a near fall. Big Dave picks up a chair and wedges it into the corner ropes, then goes over to punch Taker and elbow him in the head. Taker ducks a clothesline and hits a flying one of his own!

Taker gets up first, works on Batista's left arm, and walks the ropes for a little OLD SCHOOL. He kicks a chair out of the way, whips Batista into the corner, hits Snake Eyes, but Batista recovers for a SPEAR and a near fall. Batista picks Taker up for a SPINEBUSTER into the steel chair and starts to stomp the ring and shake dem ropes. He goes to pull Taker up by the hair but TAKER SINKS IN THE HELL'S GATE LEG TRIANGLE.

Batista fades fast but manages to grab the ropes to save himself. Batista rolls out to get a steel chair, which he thrusts upward into Taker's face when he walks over to where Big Dave is. Taker crawls to his feet slowly, Dave charges, Taker ducks and Batista SPEARS THE CHAIR HE WEDGED IN THE ROPES. Nice move dumbass. Dave sells his head as Taker raises a hand high in the air. Here comes the goozle and the LAST RIDE. 1-2-NO!!! Batista kicks out at 2.9999995.

Taker slashes his throat and goes for a Tombstone but Batista counters, throws him into the ref, and hits a low blow while Naitch has his back turned. Batista grabs a steel chair, cracks it into Taker's head and pins him! WINNER AND NEW WORLD... or does he? Teddy Long: "No no no! There's no need to celebrate.

Now we both know the usage of chairs was legal in this match, but a blatant foul was not! If you think I'm going to allow the title to change hands on such a low, cheap, despicable act - uh uh, not tonight playah! As the General Manager of Smackdown, I'm ordering this match to restart. Referee, ring the bell!" Dave charges in with a chair, Taker kicks it into his face, cracks it over his back, picks him up and the TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER CONNECTS 1-2-3 WINNER AND STILL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: UNDERTAKER.

Dave vows revenge when he finally recovers and walks away as K4D Episode 100 goes live in our angrymarks.com/chat - you can right click that to listen without even leaving the recap if you like, or you can click it and then hit the K4D tab to join in on the fun. Video package of RKO v. Kofi follows building up their feud since before Survivor Series all the way through tonight. Legacy confront Kofi backstage and claim he's terrified.

"Randy sends his two carrier pigeons to deliver a message to me instead of doing it himself, but I'm the one who's terrified? You tell Randy... no wait a minute, I have a better idea." Kofi starts walking and finds Randy's lockerroom and barges in. "I think you're a coward, you never deserve another title shot again, and I'm really looking forward to beating you down tonight." Legacy glare at him as he walks out of Randy's lockerroom. We go to a shot of a mariachi band out on the riverwalk and then back to the ring for more action!

* Randy Orton v. Kofi Kingston

I HEAR VOICES comes out first followed by S.O.S. - I HEAR DEM CALLIN'! This is one fall to a finish with no extra stips. The bell rings at 10:06 EST and Kofi circles him with his unorthodox stance. Orton takes him to the ground in a side headlock and cranks on it. Kofi recovers and tries to work an arm but Orton hammerlocks him and takes him to the ground. The two finally break apart and Orton backs to a corner as Kofi takes the center of the ring. Orton misses with a spinning fist but connects with boots in the corner, stomping a mudhole in his foe. Orton eats a boot in the corner but hits a snap slam for two.

Kofi gets back to his feet and it's time for ANOTHER CHINLOCK RANDY? Kofi recovers and leapfrogs on top of Orton in the corner for punches, then rolls Randy up for a near fall. Russian leg sweep and Kofi goes for the double leg drop BO BO but Orton rolls out of the ring to avoid it. Orton ducks Kofi on the outside and runs up the steps to the top rope, but when he jumps off Orton DROPKICKS HIM IN MID-AIR.

Orton rolls under the ropes to break the count, goes back out to pick up a prone Kofi, and drops his injured ribs over the ringside barricade before throwing him back in to cover for 2. Orton splits the legs and stomps on the groinal region repeatedly, no doubt injuring the ribs and feelings of Kingston as much as possible, followed by another near fall. Knee lunge coming off the ropes follows and he shoots the half for another 2 count. Kingston finally gets his mojo back and hits an inverted leg sweep DDT then covers for 2.

Kofi throws Randy out to the floor and runs the ropes for a suicide dive that connects, taking both men all the way out to the ramp. Kofi sells his ribs as he pulls Orton up and throws him back in. Kofi climbs to the top rope and his a flying crossbody for 2.999! It's all Kofi on offense for the next minute before another near fall. Kofi blocks the RKO with a dropkick, circles for the BO BO BO legdrop and smacks his hands together to signal it's over. TROUBLE IN PARADISE CONNECTS but Orton gets a hand on the ropes to survive!

Orton rolls out to the floor to save himself. Kofi goes outside to pick him up and throw him in, and Orton sells like he's out on his feet... but it's a trick! Kingston tries to get back in and gets DDT'D THROUGH THE ROPES. Orton pulls himself up in the corner and glares at Kingston as he fights to stand up. Orton goes for the punt but Kingston USES HIS ARM TO BLOCK IT.

DDT by Orton as Kingston continues to sell the arm. Randy sets up for the RKO, slithering across the ring... RANDY DUCKS THE TROUBLE IN PARADISE AND HITS RKO FOR THE THREE COUNT - WINNER: RANDY ORTON. Cole immediately starts selling that Orton has set himself up for a future title shot, and since Cena is no longer the champion, that might actually be true (unless Cena gets the title back later tonight).

We get a replay of the highlights of the match. Kofi continues to sell his arm as Orton looks back over his shoulder at his defeated foe from the ramp. Backstage Batista threatens Teddy Long and cracks a chair into the wall, saying if he doesn't make this right, next time the chair will be aimed right at his head! Teddy covers his head in fear and slowly pulls his hands down to see if Batista has left or not - he's long gone. Three hour Raw promo follows.

* WWE TLC Tag Title Match - Chris Jericho & Big Show {C} v. D-Generation X

DX is out first, which gives me plenty of time to break a $20 for the tab at DJ's. JeriShow come out and when they hit the ring both teams get nose to nose. Michaels pairs off with Jericho, Big Show with Triple H, and both sets brawl. Eventually Big Show goes outside with Hunter to throw him into the barricade, while HBK and Y2J battle inside. Shawn hits a swinging neckbreaker while on the outside Hunter sends SHow over the barricade.

Back in the ring Jericho hits a snapmare and kicks HBK in the back. Meanwhile Triple H pulls a table from under the ring and sets it up far enough away for Samoa Joe to do a soccer kick. Show recovers and chases Triple H up the ramp to the ladder area. Michaels kicks Y2J out to the floor as Big Show and Hunter brawl over by the crowd.

Jericho knocks Shawn down and sets up a table but HBK blocks the suplex and counters with chops before throwing Y2J back into the ring. Flying forearm and kip up by HBK! Jericho immediately shoots for a takedown into the walls but HBK counters it, hits an atomic drop, a chop, a scoop slam and he climbs the ropes. Shawn goes for the flying elbow but Y2J counters by getting his knees up!

Jericho goes outside the ring to get a ladder while Hunter and Show brawl up at the top of the ramp in front of the TLC video logo. Jericho drops the ladder and goes after Hunter with a chair but he blocks it. Hunter goes for the Pedigree but Jericho turns it into a high back bodydrop on the ramp. Shawn and Jericho both grab ladders and start to clash them into each other like a swordfight.

Shawn finally gets the better of it but Big Show knocks him down with a headbutt and he's the only man left standing out of all four. Jericho recovers and follows his partner down, signaling instructions to him. Big Show attempts to hand him a ladder through the ropes but DX catch up and cut him off, leaving the ladder partially wedged through the ropes from the floor into the ring.

The ladder is finally laid down flat by a ringside official for safety and it's on the apron for Triple H to pick up and set up under the unified tag belts. Instead Hunter uses it as a battering ram to crack Jericho's skull. Hunter and Shawn pick up the ladder together and fall away with it straight onto Jericho's back! Cole calls it a ladder suplex - he might be right for once.

Big Show is down on the floor outside after Shawn and Hunter use the ladder as a battering ram. They set up the ladder underneath the titles. Shawn climbs as Triple H tries to cut off Big Show, and fails, and Show yanks HBK off the ladder. Headbutt by Show. Flurry of fists to Hunter in the corner.

Jericho gets back under the ropes and dropkicks a ladder into Shawn, sandwiched between that and the steel ringpost. Show and Jericho knock the ladder over and drop it in the center of the ring. The crowd boos as Jericho signals victory before giving Hunter a bulldog into the ladder. Show pulls him off the ladder by the hair and goes to prop it up in the corner.

Y2J knocks Hunter silly and whips him face first into said ladder. Show props it back up again and runs Hunter into it back first, then they hang him upside down tree of woe style from the ladder. HBK gets whipped into his tag partner and Show follows it up with a splash into the ladder. Hunter falls out of the ladder in a heap.

Hunter finally reverses Jericho into the ladder and he spills out to the floor. Show charges and Hunter gets out of the way, then hits an atomic drop, then swings the ladder around his shoulders into the back of Show's head! He throws the ladder out onto Jericho, counters Big Show into a DDT, and HBK comes off the top rope with a flying elbow! Michaels tunes up the band for Sweet Chin Music but Jericho DUCKS IT AND HITS THE CODEBREAKER BUT IT DOESN'T SAVE HIM AS HUNTER HITS A SPINEBUSTER BUT IT DOESN'T SAVE TRIPLE H AND BIG SHOW CLUBS HIM WITH A BIG SHOT.

Show looks up at the hanging titles, the only man left standing, and goes to pull the ladder over to the center of the ring. Cole and Lawler tease that the ladder won't hold his weight. Cole: "Big Show does nothing quickly!" That's as close to a shoot as Vintage Cole will get. Hunter clubs him in the back with a chair, and an angry Show jumps off the ladder and punches the chair into Hunter's face.

He starts to climb again, Shawn and Hunter team up tp tip the ladder and they hit Show with a DOUBLE TEAM PEDIGREE. Shawn sets up the ladder and begins to climb up to get the gold, but Jericho tips the ladder and sends HBK flying into Show on the outside! (Thank God he landed safely.)

Jericho starts to climb the ladder to retrieve the unified titles. He gets all the way to the top but Hunter hits him with a right hand. Jericho shoves him away and tries to grab the belts but they start swinging in the wind. He pushes Hunter off a second time. Third time Triple H hits a POWERBOMB OFF THE LADDER. Jericho rolls out to the floor in a heap and Hunter starts to climb slowly.

Big Show cuts him off and goozles him for a chokeslam! The poor ladder is all busted up at this point and Show disposes of it outside the ring then goes to work over Hunter with punches. Jericho looks for a new ladder underneath the ring and finds one to throw in to his partner. Shawn is palmed one handed into the ring by Show. He tries to set up a chair to now avail as JeriShow put both men between the halves

of the ladder as Show and Jericho take turns stomping on it and slamming it with a chair. BIG SHOW RIPS THE LADDER IN HALF. Guess he don't know his own strength! Crowd chants WE WANT TABLES. Show chokeslams Hunter through Shawn through a propped up table on the outside! Jericho tries to climb the half of the ladder left, then decides to stand on Big Show's shoulders instead to retrieve the belts.

Jericho has to get one hand free to get the belts though and each time he tries he loses balance. HBK SUPERKICKS SHOW AND JERICHO FLIES OFF CHIN FIRST INTO A TABLE ON THE FLOOR. Shawn and Hunter use the half of a ladder left as a ram to clear Show out then Hunter holds up p the remaining half as Shawn climbs to the top GETS HIS HAND ON THE BELTS AND DX WINS THE TAG TEAM TITLES FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!!

WINNERS AND NEW UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: D-GENERATION X. DX celebrate as the cameras cut to replay highlights. Crotch chops in the ring to the pyros. That's it for the TLC PPV tonight!

SHEAMUS!!!

WOW! Shaemus beats Cena! Good I would rather some new jack have the meaningless WWE Championship than Cena. We all know the real World Heavyweight Champion is the The Undertaker wearing the real and the original World Championship!
DX get the tag titles...nice no Michaels and HHH can hit up Smackdown and RAW. As far as the ECW Champ goes, it's just like Christian to hold his gold, now let him get that WWE title off Shame-us.

Random thought...

Shelton/Christin-with the number of ladder matches Christian has been in and the amount of Money In The Bank matches Shelton has been in, this one was bound to be good. Nice way to open the show. Can Shelton get some sort of gold?..ever??

Morrison/McEntyre-huge Morrison fan. Sad to see him lose. Hes been on a hell of a losing streak lately. Hes got a DVD coming out in a month or 2...not a good way to promote it. Maybe a move to Raw and a fued with his old buddy the Miz might be though? Im indiffferent on Mcentyre.

Mickie/McCool-eh. The Divas arent the Knockouts. Just a handfull of good actual wrestlers. They stepped up the Divas division a while back and some great matches...might be time to do that again.

Shamus/Cena-the big story of the night. Finally the belt is of Cena. No one seems to care now though. I think the WWE will lplay up the fact that Cena "slipped" through the table and Shameus didnt actually "put" him through it. Cena will demand a rematch...Orton will rear his head in this. Kofi might even as well. Maybe a 3 or 4 way dance at the Rumble? Either way the title picture on Raw has finally gotten a little interesting.

Kofi/Orton-seemingly this fued has come to an end. Orton had to get the victory to close it out. As good as Kofis looked and as much as his star power has risen over the past couple months, Orton is still the vetren and needed to get the final word in this one. Might not be quite over yet though.

Batista/Taker-Teddy Long restarting and ending matches is getting kind of old. Truthfully theres no real contender for Takers gold on Smackdown right now. Punks involved in a fued, I THOUGHT Batista and Rey were starting something(altough Rey not having surgury could have changed things). Whos next??(no Goldberg pun intended)

DX/Jerishow-HBK is my idol. Always has been, always will be. Glad to see him and HHH win the titles together. If Jericho doesnt move back to Smackdown(possibly Takers next challlanger??) then Id expect him to keep popping up on Raw and refusing to leave.

Over all decent PPV. Couple title changes. The WWE youth movement seems to be in full effect. Well see where it leads especially with the Rumble a little over a month away and TNA possibly starting to breathe down their collective necks.

Give Shelton a goddamn manager and push his ass, already. The fact that he still hasn't held gold is a testament to how inept WWE is when it comes to creating quality main event stars these days.

So now Sheamus is WWE Champion. Blah. This is a lateral move from having the title on Cena. Sheamus is a lackluster worker who bores me on the mic, and when he's on my TV I generally change the channel. No different than what Cena offers. I love the idea of creating a breakthrough star, it's something WWE needs to do right about now, but Sheamus is not that star. I'd have rather seen Jack Swagger in that spot. Or turn MVP heel and put him in that spot. Or, hell, move Regal or Kozlov over from ECW and give them the spot. But not Sheamus. It's too soon and Sheamus is wildly undeserving.

However, on the topic of young stars, it's nice to see the Intercontinental Championship finally be used to put over young talent. Hopefully Morrison will move on to bigger and better things in short order.

I could see a rematch between Batista and Undertaker given the ending of their match last night. I can stomach Batista a little more as a heel.

Take away Sheamus winning (FUCK I HATE SHEAMUS!!!), and it was a halfway decent B-level show.
