If you are a Pittsburgh Steelers fan or in a serious and/or sexual relationship with one, you know who I'm talking to BP, tell them to look away, they will be massively offended in about two paragraphs. First I'm going to offend the people that still love the product the E, that's right the E is putting on your television, whoever you are and wherever you may be.Can I just ask this question? What in the blue hell is going on in wrestling right now? I mean damn, you're playing hot potato with the belt that makes your company "the best," and you're doing that with two people nobody really wants to see anymore.
The Miz winning the United States championship is the single highlight in WWE right now. He couldn't even do that on the damn PPV, they had to wait for free TV and let Big Grin make that decision, and just on principle, I'm not happy about it. Also why let DX go over again? Letting Legacy get the one win doesn't matter it makes it look like more of a fluke.
Ok, now to offend the Steelers fans. Hell Ben even wore a Cash shirt, that should have endeared him to me, but nothing can or ever will. That big waterheaded linebacker looking fool, and yes I know he was probably told to, but please just stop pandering to the crowd. Hell his offensive line should have worked a match, maybe they can't wrestle but they can grab jersey (shirt) and tackle to the ground and pin there for at least three seconds. Ask the four teams they've played so far.
The refs will probably pull a Nick Patrick for them too if the timing was right. The O-Line should have just come down and beat JeriShow for the Gimmick Assassin and The Heart Attack Kid. Would have made more sense. Why do DX need to be fed on such a regular basis? Let somebody go over. Especially the tag champs.
Ok so now I'm really going to get mad. Orton is the champ again? His gimmick is stale, Cena's gimmick is stale, the whole company is pretty stale. I honestly feel like I'm watching WCW. Cena is Hogan, somebody tell me who that makes Orton. Get it right win a prize everytime. All prizes come directly from Tha O Show itself, not contributing members.
Cena goes over in an I Quit, Orton goes over in a Hell in the Cell. So logically instead of splitting these guys after a three year feud you have to put them into another Vince Russo idea. I mean, another gimmick match, Russo works for the other guys. Right?
TNA's heaviest criticism for a while was their blatant overdoing of gimmick matches. Now the WWE is branding their PPVs to be gimmick matches. Just stop it already. Cena and Orton in an Iron Man match? Unless the rest of the card is STACKED, with Punk and Taker in a Casket or Buried Alive match, Miz and Kofi in a solid match, and Mickie and Beth in a butt naked match, I'm not buying, and not many people will period.
Being force fed the same thing week in and week out is fine. If you're in some type of instition or can't do it yourself. Sure we can't book our own shit, we can't work our own matches on TV, but we can sure watch Brett Favre be Brett Favre (Here's a guy who has beaten all 32 teams in the NFL, that means every team including the four he's played for) on Monday Night Football, or House, or NCIS reruns we've DVR'd or the infomercial that shouldn't be on your DVR but is.
We live in a caffenated society when choices are close to endless, and the WWE needs to step up and realize that WE the hardcore old-school fans are beginning to tune out, or at least become fed up, and they need to give us what we're asking for, because at the rate they're going WCW will buy them out. Yeah, it isn't supposed to make sense.
My entire message tonight will be summed up in these two sentences. WWE, do better! Shitsburgh fans, I'm just messing, I'm just mad the 18 of you beat the Chargers Sunday Night. Different 11 on O, D and ST, but the same 7 every play really hurt.

A-MEN! As a hardcore WWE fan and someone who used to watch religiously, I'm missing more RAWs than I'm watching these days. My SmackDown viewing isn't much better.
They continue to cater to the fans who will buy the merch (parents, and their kids) but don't seem to realize they are losing the ones who were their bread and butter for years. And when these younger fans grow up, they're going to move on like anything else (let's see how many Jonas Brothers fans there are in 10 years). And the core fan base, us, will be long gone by then as well.
It's pretty sad when I used to look forward to each and every show they put on and now can't be bothered to watch even when able. We're talking the free shows; don't even get me started on spending my hard earned cash on PPVs.
Oh well, at least there's still Indy Wrestling. Oh yeah, that's dying a horrible death too. FML
so they should not cater to the people who buy merch and support people who download and stream their shit? because thats where the "bread and butter" fans are.

Chris I have tried one, and it was decent, but 16-20 weeks a year at least one day that week there is a problem. On a comletely unrelated note female Steelers fans in naked pillow fights has entertained me on previous occasions.
TBiD I agree with you, it's sad what they're doing. It's unrealistic that they think they're spreading their product to a bigger audience. Sure certain people tune in to see a certain guest host, but they don't come back the week after because the show is...not good.
Coolaroonie yes the bread and butter fans are us, not the ones who buy the merch for their kids. Do you know why that is? They watch it for their kids or just let their kids watch it and buy the merch to shut them up. Kids whine a whole lot now days. Those parents move on when the kids get their own money, and I haven't done a technical study, but I'm guessing somewhere around 70-80% of those kids "grow out" of wrestling. The ones that stay download and stream, but don't forget that WE still buy the ones that we find good enough or important enough. Another thing, go into a stream viewing of a Fed show and see who happens to be chatting inside. You don't see or hear much talk of pushes and skill. You see, "YEAH MAN ORTON SUCKS!!!!! CNEA IS DA MAN!!!!! CENA*" Before you trash those who are negative about the product, keep in mind that we are STILL watching the product.
