Bischoff's role in TNA has been confirmed at the press conference as a partnership with his Bischoff-Hervey production company (the one that produces reality TV shows like "Hogan Knows Best"). He's not going to be on the creative team and may or may not be an on-air personality. Bischoff's largely going to use his involvement as a way to pitch new programs to SpikeTV and/or promote them via TNA.
Despite their differences in the past, Vince Russo is not being removed from the creative writing team with Hogan's arrival. Both sides are saying they'll just have to learn how to work together now that both are in a different company other than WCW.
Our favorite Mark, SportsGuy515 sent in this report from New York:
I am writing to you from - of all places - the Roy Rogers this is across the street from Madison Square Garden. I had to come to New York today on school-related business and seeing as how I finished that up early, I figured I would pass by MSG and check out that Hogan Press Conference since I had just remembered about it (not that I even care about Hogan, but simply to check it out.)
Well, low and behold, as soon as I come across the mezzanine entrance to MSG, I see it blocked off by security, which I guess meant it was a private press conference. However, I tried to take a peek inside and, to my surpise - and inevitable DISGUST - I saw a TNA banner hanging in the concourse of MSG. So I immediately ran across the street to Roy Rogers (of all places lol) to send this to you. But apparently, news travels fast in wrestling, so I've already been scooped lol.
Just figured I'd pass this along while I eat my lunch. But right now, the site of seeing a TNA BANNER hanging inside MADISON SQUARE GARDEN is a sight that will be burned into my memory for a long time.
WrestlingObserver.com reports that Ric Flair may end up coming into TNA as well, given that Flair signed a three year deal with Bischoff's production company that "tied him to anything Hulk Hogan does." Originally that was to spin off the Hulkamania Tour into a reality TV show, but now it could mean Flair goes to TNA too. We'll keep you updated. Dave Meltzer also indicates the Hogan tour in Australia will go on as planned.
Samoa Joe had only one comment on the news TNA had signed Hogan: "I'm in. Let's rock."
More news from WrestlingObserver.com - Bubba the Love Sponge claimed today that Hogan and Bischoff would be booking TNA, but both the promotion and the parties named denied that would ever happen. Also it appears that SpikeTV will get the first option on the proposed Hogan & Flair reality show as part of Hogan's new deal.
As for the Larry King Live show that was to feature Hogan, he did actually mention TNA for a few minutes on air, saying he wasn't sure if he'd be wrestling or not and his Australian Tour would be "a test" for him to see if he's got it. He also teased the idea of a "Hogan Idol" to find the next Hulk Hogan, but spent most of the appearance talking about his book.

Joe will never set foot in the ring with Hogan. Hogan cant take a single bump he'd get from any of the "younger" guys. Maybe Sting will hang out for a minute to wrestle Sting.
As for Russo and Hogan, I just dont care. With Cornette gone the shows will just more unwatchable. Hogan is not big news. He's done this before and took off. He will do it again.
So with Hogan now in TNA, how long before Brutus Beefcake, Dennis Rodman and Nasty Boy Knobbs show up? - Fan In Van.
Hogan couldn't move real well in his prime....there is no way he could keep up with the younger guy's....TNA need's to focus on the good young talent they have and cultivate that...you don't bring in a man well past his prime who younger people really don't care about and most likley want's no part in putting over the young guys anyways.
Well...with Hogan having creative control over his on-air character in TNA, I give this working relationship with Vince Russo about five months, two weeks, three days, and a handful of hours before shit goes sour.
