Our commentators to open the show are Michael Cole and Jerry 'The King' Lawler. Well, no, they're just running down their share of the card. Jim Ross and Todd Grisham are there as well. Has anybody else pondered the idea that J.R. and the King should be calling "SmackDown!", and Grisham and Cole should be calling "Raw"?
Am I the only one? Oh well, I know it will never happen. Video clips of Undertaker's feud with CM Punk dating back to Breaking Point are shown. We've spent at least 8 minutes of the PPV watching clips or commentary instead of action. A cage lowers down to the ring... I guess we're getting one Hell in a Cell to open the show! Certainly explains the whole video package we just watched.
* CM Punk {C} v. The Undertaker (World Heavyweight Championship Match)
Punk is all business until he gets to the cage door, then he gives a little smirk as he kisses the title belt, then shoves it hard into the ref's chest. He goes inside the cage, and cracks another cocky little smile one he gets in the ring to run the ropes. Punk leans his head back as his music ends, as though he's basking in his own glow, but it's not long before we hear that trademark BONG... BONG.. BONG and the lights go out to be replaced by that oh so familiar eerie purple glow.
Punk seems a little nervous as Taker approaches the ring. With the length of time Taker's deliberately slow entrance takes, we are now 14 minutes into a three hour show without any actual action taking place, unless you count pyro going off as action. Even UFC would be through the first five minutes of a three round middleweight fight by now.
I like the fact they put over CM Punk as "the only straightedge world heavyweight champion IN HISTORY" when he's being introduced, but I bet either Bruno Sammartino or Bob Backlund would beg to differ. 30 seconds into the match Taker and Punk are already outside the ring, with Taker slamming Punk's head and face into the cage walls repeatedly.
Keep in mind that Hell's Gate is not banned in this match, so Taker has any number of ways he can finish his opponent in this contest. Taker puts Punk on the apron, gets in the ring, and hits a big boot that sends him flying off into the fence. Taker tries to jump down to follow up and the ever crafty Punk kicks the steel ring steps into him, then starts stomping on the left leg he injured doing so. We're getting dueling chants in Jerz tonight for both challenger and champion. Punk hits a running knee and tries to go for a bulldog on the apron, but gets shoved off into the cage. Undertaker lays him on the apron, limps up the steps, and does a leg drop across Punk's neck. Punk falls out to the floor in a heap and WWE gives us a replay.
Moments later, both Punk and Taker are down outside the ring off Punk diving over the ropes into him. Punk throws a few choices punches at Taker's left knee before rolling him back in, then gives him a headbutt in the ring while both are on their knees. We get the BOO and YAY punch spot which Undertaker wins, followed by a legdrop for a 2 count.
Taker signals for a chokeslam and goes for it, but Punk kicks at the knee. Punk sets up for a Go 2 Sleep, Taker counters, but Punk hits a chop block to the leg before Taker can take advantage. Punk's fed up and grabs a steel chair to bring in the ring, then BLASTS Taker in the face with it before covering him for 2. Punk tries to set up the running knee into the bulldog into the G2S, but he only gets the first third of that as Taker gives him a LAST RIDE for a near fall. Taker grabs an arm and walks the ropes for Old School, but Punk counters with a knee into a fall for 2.8 and another near fall for 2.
Punk grabs a chair and charges but Taker hits it right into his face with a big boot and follows up with a CHOKE SLAM. Slash the throat! Taker says it is all over. He scoops him up, TOMBSTONE connects, 1-2-3! WINNER AND NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: THE UNDERTAKER!! Taker get a full post-match celebration before we get a promo for the Bragging Rights PPV.
* John Morrison {C} v. Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental Title Match)
Morrison comes out first before the strains of I AM PERFECTION hit and Mr. Ziggles makes his arrival. WWE shows us highlights from Ziggler getting the pin on him this Friday. J.R. and TCS ponder if Maria designed Ziggler's cheetah print trunks for him tonight. Well Maria does know a thing or two about design - she was on Project Runway after all, and even wore the outfit that was designed for her on TV. Anyway Morrison's in control of the match early, it turns into a mat wrestling contest, and Ziggler eventually hooks him for a one count.
Ziggler shoots for a single leg and gets it but Morrison rolls on top for a one count. The two men finally back off and stare at each other - in ROH that would get a crowd pop but WWE's audience could care less. Ziggler gets a shoulder tackle but Morrison gets a dropkick for 2.
Ziggler appears to be making the focus of his offense Morrison's neck, and he's following up on that with ground holds and chokes. Springboard crossbody by Morrison for 2 when he recovers, and he goes top rope for Starship Pain but Ziggler gets out of the way and Morrison crashes hard.
Ziggler takes advantage to cover him for a near fall, and follows up by dropping an elbow. He signals for Morrison to get up, hits a dropkick, and rolls up Morrison for a near fall. We go back to Ziggler cranking on Morrison's neck as J.R. and Grisham discuss it on commentary. Morrison hits an uppercut but Ziggler catches him runnin for a full rotation slam and a 2.9. Ziggler keeps on working the neck and stomping on the head and throat.
He even makes the signal for a belt around his waist and yells NEW CHAMPION as loudly as he can. Ziggler is hitting takedowns at will now, and Grisham describes him as acting like he's up 3 touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Thanks for reminding me I could be watching Sunday Night Football on NBC instead. BOO and YAY punches for the crowd. Morrison hits the standing SSP for 2. Ziggler counts Morrison into a roll-up and tries to grab the ropes for leverage but the ref catches him. Morrison tries to roll him up on the reversal but misses. Ziggler hits a jawbreaker and covers for 2.99.
It's 8:45 PM EST already so the end of this match must be coming soon. Morrison goes to the top rope, Ziggler tries to counter with a knee, but Morrison lands short to avoid it, catapults Ziggler into the corner and covers him for 2. Morrison goes for a second rope springboard and misses, and Ziggler hits a picture perfect German suplex for 2. Both men are being counted down and out but Ziggler gets up first for a flying legdrop that's 2 and 99/100ths of a 3.
Ziggler charges, Morrison puts a boot to his face, goes up for Starship Pain but Ziggler flips him off the ropes and puts his back to the mat for ANOTHER near fall. Zig Zag is blocked, Morrison connects with Ziggler's temple and then hits the Starship Pain to retain. WINNER AND STILL IC CHAMPION: JOHN MORRISON. WWE offers us highlights including Morrison taking Ziggler's head off with a knee before the SP.
Josh Mathews is backstage to interview Dave Batista, but before he can introduce his tag team partner, but Batista takes the mic from him and does it himself. A happy Mysterio LEAPS into his arms with a hug. Aww. "Josh, we are not recreating magic tonight, we are reuniting familia. He's like my big brother. Dave, you know I got your back dawg, always. A few months ago Chris Jericho TRIED to take away my mask, my heritage, and my pride.
Tonight Batista and I can and WILL take away the Unified Tag Team Titles." Batista: "They say they're the greatest team in history, but they've never beaten us. Josh you are looking at the next World Tag Team Champions!" Back in the crowd we see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles watching the PPV from a skybox. Seriously. Four men in turtle costumes. They throw from this to a clip of TMNT Smash Up.
* Mickie James {C} v. Alicia Fox (Diva Championship Match)
Fox comes out first, then James. The battle for the Butterfly Belt begins! Mickie James gets the first few near falls of the match. Lawler feigns his concern for the well being of divas in matches like these as Cole offers commentary like "Mickie loves to fly." Alicia loves to cut her off in mid flight for a near fall. Alicia grounds her with a chinlock then pulls up on her hair for good measure until the ref breaks it up. Alicia is solidly in control now as James sells for her opponent. James gets back into the match with a couple of clotheslines, a forearm, and a head scissor from the top rope.
Flying Lou Thesz press for a near fall. Mickie signals for a DDT, Alicia blocks it by pushing her into the corner, then hits a northern lights bridge for two. Alicia misses with a scissor kick and Mickie hits a NASTY looking DDT for three. WINNER AND STILL DIVAS CHAMPION: MICKIE JAMES.
* Chris Jericho & Big Show {C} v. Dave Batista & Rey Mysterio (Unified Tag Titles Match)
Jericho and Mysterio start the match off for their respective teams. Jericho hits a headbutt and follows with a foot to the mask. Rey ducks a clothesline and hits an armdrag and a monkeyflip, teases a 619, but hits the ropes instead for a springboard into a near fall before tagging in Big Dave. Dave pummels Jericho with shoulders to the gut in the corner before tagging Rey back in for a near fall. Rey hits a kick to the temple for another near fall and tags Dave back in.
The babyfaces are definitely rolling early! Batista and Rey keep trading tags until Rey goes up on Batista's shoulders to dive off for a near fall. Jericho crawls away to his corner as quickly as he can and Big Show tags himself in. Dave tells Rey he can tag out and Rey's like no amigo, I got this. Rey immediately goes after Big Show's leg with kicks, but Show picks him up to give him a headbutt, drops him, and then puts a foot on his chest to walk right over him. Here's where the heels take control for the next 5-8 minutes.
Show puts Rey on the ropes and chops him so hard he falls backwards and takes a bump off the apron to the floor. Big Show gloats as the ref makes his count. Show pulls him back into the ring with one hand when he gets to the apron, knocks him down, and tags in Jericho, who catapults Mysterio's neck into the ropes for two. Mysterio finally manages to trip Y2J into the ropes, but before the 6-1-9 Jericho gets up and attacks. Y2J sets Rey on the ropes and starts trying to rip off the mask but Rey knocks him away and gets across the ring to tag Dave, who gives Jericho a sidewalk slam for a near fall.
Dave shakes the ropes, Show is blocked from interfering, Dave hits a spinebuster for two. Show holds onto a leg, Batista gets free, but Jericho hits him and makes a near fall as the bar crowd at the Dugout chants Y-2-J. Show tags in and goes for a leg drop but misses. Big Show hits the chokeslam but Rey jumps on his back to break up the 3. S
how tags out to Jericho who gos to pummel Dave in the center of the ring. He cups his hand to his ear like Hogan, goes to the ropes for a lionsault, but Dave gets out of the way! Both men crawl to their respective corners. Rey gets the hot tag first although you would think size would favor Show, who catches Mysterio flying through the air, but Mysterio manages to crack his head on the turnbuckle and DDT him for 2. Show THROWS him off the pin cover.
Show charges, Mysterio pulls down the ropes to trip him to the floor. Jericho charges, Rey trips him for a 6-1-9, Big Show eats it instead. Batista gets some too and 3 out of 4 men wind up in a heap outside the ring. Show tries to get back in, Mysterio flies in to drop him for a 6-1-9, tries to follow up with a springboard, but Show hits a knockout punch to put Mysterio down and out for the count. WINNERS AND STILL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: JERICHO & BIG SHOW. The heels smile and gloat on their way up the ramp as Batista checks on his friend Rey and gently helps him back up. Commentary goes to Cole and Lawler for a preview of the Orton v. Cena feud.
* John Cena {C} v. Randy Orton (WWE Championship Match)
Time for our second Hell in a Cell of the evening! Orton comes out first to a decided mix of cheers and boos - well, at least where I'm at tonight. Can't tell what it sounds like in New Jersey but I'm sure SportsGuy515 will fill us in later. Orton stands in the middle of the ring snorting and puffing out his cheeks before John Cena's music arrives. BRRRAPADOOO! Some of the fans at DJ's Dugout start a YOU CAN'T WRE-STLE chant for The Champ. Our announcers gives the title match introduction of challenger and champion, weighing in at XXX, hailing from so-and-so. Orton immediately bails out of the ring and starts searching the cage for weak points, but Cena gives chase. Orton gets the advantage back in the ring as a CE-NA SUCKS chant breaks out in Jerz. Orton hits a snap slam for 2.
Time for BOO and YAY from the fans, although reversed of what you'd think. Cena misses a flying shoulder tackle. The Jerz crowd starts a R-K-O chant which a few fans at the bar pick up. Orton takes over outside the ring and grinds Cena's face into the fence with a knee. Cena fights back with punches, herks up Orton, charges for the fence but Orton counters out of it and throws him into the steel steps.
Orton disassembles the steps and stomps on Cena's hand. He puts his head face down and stomps on the neck. He picks up the other half of the steel steps and tries to toss them into the ring, they don't clear, but he catches them in mid-air and gets them over with a might shove followed by an FU (the middle finger kind) to the crowd.
Cena starts recovering on the outside, Orton pulls him through the ropes, goes for a DDT onto the steps, but Cena blocks it by bracing his hands down and then flips Orton over his head all the way to the floor. Cena picks up the steps and LAUNCHES them at Orton's head but he gets out of the way at the last second.
Cena gets back in the ring but Orton connects with a back cracker for a near fall. We get a replay of the steps flying into the cage and rattling things around - it does look impressive. Orton acts like he wants the RKO but Cena of course blocks it and goe son offense. You Can't See Me is followed by the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Orton manages to grab the ropes to avoid having his Attitude Adjusted then snaps Cena's neck off the ropes. Orton pulls him across the ropes by his feet for a face first DDT.
Orton strikes a viper pose like he's ready to finish Cena off and starts pounding the mat with his fists. Cena slowly crawls to his feet, Orton goes for it and misses, Cena counters into the Attitude Adjuster and Orton kicks out! ORTON KICKS OUT and the BAR ERUPTS. Cena goes for a top rope Attitude Adjuster, Orton gets free, and gets under Cena for an electric chair and a near fall. Orton sets Cena up and climbs the ropes for a possible superplex, Cena starts to muscle his way out of Orton's grip, they end up in a test of strength standing on the ropes and Cena punches him down to the ground. Cena ges to the top rope, flies off for a leg drop and Orton rolls out. Orton goes out and gets a steel chair. Orton measures Cena carefully then SMASHES the head of the chair to the back of Cena's neck.
He rolls Cena over and drives it into his chest the same way, but SuperCena kicks out at 2. Orton is LIVID. Orton lays his head on the chair and stomps on it. Orton backs up to the ropes, looking at Cena, flies in with a knee and Cena gets out of the way! Orton smashes his knee into the chair and Cena immeadiately cinches up the leg for the STFU. Orton crawls for all he's worth to the ropes... AND HE GETS THEM... BUT THERE ARE NO ROPE BREAKS IN HIAC. The ref asks him if he quits Orton says no. Cena drags him back to the center of the ring but Orton kicks him off for the REF BUMP. Cena locks in the STFU and Orton starts tapping but there's no ref to signal the sub! Cena goes out to drag the ref back into the ring. Cena turns around into the RKO and the ref slowly counts ONE.. TWO.. NO!!
SuperCena kicks out again. Orton gets behind Cena on the apron and ties his arms up in the ropes. What's he going to do? Orton FISHHOOKS CENA FOR A CHOKE. Cena seems to pass out or lose consciousness. The ref frees his arms and Cena slumps to the mat. Is it over? No one is calling for the bell. Nope! Cena is slowly starting to stand up. Is it time for antoher RKO? No, Orton goes for the soccer kick and CONNECTS FOR THE THREE COUNT! WINNER AND NEW WWE CHAMPION: RANDY ORTON.
For the supposed heel of the match he got one of the biggest babyface reactions of the whole night at DJ's Dugout when he got the pin, and I suspect the New Jersey crowd is happy too. Orton takes his time, smugly making his way back up the ramp, still wincing from the brutality of the match. He's the victor though, and a six time champion to boot.
A fallen Cena can only look on and try to shake off the cobwebs from getting punted. Orton isn't even through the curtain until about 9:59 PM EST. R-Truth is interviewed backstage by Josh Mathews, who says "You don't disrespect nobody to get where you need to be." He says Drew McIntyre needs to learn that to get respect, you earn it. "I ain't knew to this, I'm true to this! And what I'm about to give you Drew McIntyre, you've earned it. You're going to get The Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but The Truth!"
* R-Truth v. Drew McIntyre
Truth raps his way to the ring, getting very good call and response from the live crowd, including one last WHAT'S UP for New Jersey. Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring in generic black trunks and boots. One man at DJ's Dugout: "Is that a jobber?" Perhaps he is, although Smackdown has led us to believe this kid MIGHT be something. J.R. and Grisham are calling this contest for us as one would expect. R-Truth is rolling with dropkicks and punches and throws early and covers for a near fall.
Drew gets into the ropes to force the ref to break, then jumps R-Truth as the ref is issuing him a verbal warning. Clothesline puts Truth down for a near fall. We're reminded that no less than Mr. McMahon said Drew McIntyre reminds him of himself. Truth and Drew exchange rights until they hit a double clothesline in the center of the ring. R-Truth trips Drew to the ground and pounds on him. The crowd at the bar is non-plussed with this match as they chant THIS IS BORING until Drew hits a double underhook DDT for three. WINNER: DREW MCINTYRE.
Backstage Legacy tells Orton they should paint the town red tonight after they defeat DX. Orton says that nobody just walks away from a Hell in a Cell as he rubs his neck. Legacy chastize him by saying they're younger and faster than DX. Cody Rhodes looks at Orton and says "You're starting to sound like my old man." Orton stands up and says I'm not your old man, I'm the WWE Champion, and when the champ has something to say you should listen! DiBiase tells Orton they shouldn't underestimate their chances and the duo leave.
* Kofi Kingston {C} v. The Miz v. Jack Swagger (3-Way United States Title Match)
Miz comes out first and cuts a promo about New Jersey being a sewer, which makes it all the more appropriate that the Mutant Ninja Turtles are here. He begs the Mayor of Newark to ban him from the city, and ends with I'M THE MIZ, AND I'M AWESOME to a chorus of applause from the bar. As my wife said earlier, are we at a WWE PPV or a Ring of Honor show? Swagger cuts no promo when he arrives, and neither does the champion Kofi. Swagger and Miz are working together to work Kofi over early. Eventually Miz starts gloating while Swagger works Kofi over in the corner, they double whip him across the ring, Miz tries to encourage him to attack Kofi more but double tricks him and hits a clothesline on Swagger.
Kofi starts to recover but Miz hits him with a neckbreaker for a near fall. Swagger has Miz on his shoulders but Kofi hits a crossbody and covers Miz for a near fall, then covers Swagger for a near fall too. It's already 10:21 PM EST so I can't see this going that much longer if they'll have time for a third HIAC. Miz prevents Swagger from getting a pinfall off a slam. Swagger hangs Miz upside down from the ropes to beat on him, then starts doing push-ups in front of him. Swagger goes to throw Kofi into him, but Kofi counters, and Miz has already crawled up the ropes so Swagger doesn't hit him. Swagger goes for a springboard launch out of the corner but Kofi gets out of the way and he hits Miz.
Swagger goes to cover Miz because any pinfall is good in a 3-way but can only get 2. Kofi hits the leg bomb on Swagger for a near fall. Miz hooks the ropes to avoid more of Kofi's offense, then holds onto the ropes to prevent Swagger from getting him, Swagger hits a flying knee on Kofi, Miz goes for the finish, but Swagger puts Kofi's foot on the rope to break up the pin. Swagger hits the gutwrench powerbomb on Miz, but Kofi hits Swagger with the TROUBLE IN PARADISE and gets the 3. WINNER AND STILL US CHAMPION, FROM GHANA, BY WAY OF JAMAICA: KOFI KINGSTON.
* Legacy v. D-Generation X (Hell in a Cell Main Event)
Of course we get a video package previewing the match before it starts, which means this one's not even getting underway until 10:30 PM EST. DX come out first and they've got GLOW STICKS FOR EVERYONE! Before they can get to the cage though LEGACY JUMPS THEM FOR THE BEATDOWN. DiBiase goes flying over the Raw announce table, and Shawn and Hunter begin dismantiling the "SmackDown!" table.
Hunter hits Cody with a TV monitor as they continue to strip it down while J.R. looks on. DX double suplex Cody onto the table and throw up their sign but DiBiase comes flying in and knocks Hunter into the cage, then over the barricade into the crowd. The brawl continues between Hunter and DiBiase as Shawn and Cody work their way around the cage and HBK whips him into a barricade. Hunter and Cody wind up back in the crowd again and before long HBK chops Cody into the crowd too.
Shawn goes over the barricade to give chase as security gets around them to prevent interference. Shawn elevates Cody when he charges and Rhodes goes flying into the cell leg first. Before Shawn can get back over the barricade Cody gets the chain used to lock the cage and whips it into Shawn, then charges up to the top of the ramp to help DiBiase beat down Hunter with it. They give him a double DDT on the top of the ramp.
Triple H is left in a heap after getting his head smacked into the steel again and both members of Legacy go down to work over HBK. They put his left knee in the cage door and slam it shut repeatedly. Cody goes to get the chain while Shawn is down, then locks the cage door shut from the inside.
Shawn is trapped in the ring for a 2-n-1 beatdown. Both men get in the ring with Shawn and they insist the ref ring the bell. He has no choice but to do it and Legacy start double teaming Shawn as the match officially gets underway. Shawn gets up slowly and looks around to see that Hunter is nowhere in sight, the crowd chants HBK, and Legacy start wailing on him. Shawn eats a kick to the face and is down on the mat. Instead of even trying for a pinfall, they retreat to opposite corners of the ring, planning another big move. The two meet for a high-low clothesline and Cody makes a cover for the near fall. Both men go back to working over Shawn's left leg, Cody in particular. Shawn tries to get out with a spinning head kick but DiBiase drops an elbow. DiBiase starts stomping on him in the corner and Cody goes outside the ring to snap Shawn's leg into the steel post. Shawn slumps to the floor in a heap but appears to be looking for a weapon under the ring. he finds it! Shawn throws a chair right into Rhodes face.
Meanwhile Triple H starts to stumble and roll his way down the ramp to the cage. Rhodes recovers, Legacy work Shawn over, then Cody catapults Shawn into the fence. Triple H is pulling on the cage door trying to break in. Shawn tries to climb the fence but gets yanked off for more beatings as Ted DiBiase taunts a watching Triple H. Hunter searches the cage for a weak point. Does anybody want to bet that spot with Cena throwing the steps into the cell was to set up said weak point for Hunter to break through?
Nope. Triple H decides he's going to climb up the outside of the cell. Meanwhile inside the ring Shawn hits SWEET CHIN MUSIC on DiBiase. Rhodes crawls to his feet on the outside. pulls HBK out, then whacks him in the back with the steel chair. Apparently Hunter gave up climb to the top and decided he should whack at the chain locking the cage shut with a steel chair.
That doesn't work and he gets taunted some more. Hunter tries to wedge the chair into the crack for the door opening and pry it apart with brute strength. That doesn't work either. WHERE'S TRIPLE H'S TRADEMARK SLEDGEHAMMER?! I think Hunter just realized that himself as he's walking up the ramp and through the curtain to the back. If he doesn't come back with a sledge to break the cage open this is one of the shittiest cockteases of all time.
While Hunter is gone, HBK gets beaten from pillar to post in a very different way - he gets his back slammed repeatedly into the steel post outside the ring, then into the cage wall, over and over. They throw HBK back into the ring, strike a pose triumphant, and circle him waiting to make the kill.
Hunter has to be coming back any second now. The match has to go home soon anyway as it's already 10:46 EST. Shawn keeps valiantly fighting htem off but DiBiase lays him down with a clothesline. Legacy are heard saying "let's finish him now" and Rhodes wraps a steel chair around his face. DiBiase dropkicks it, possibly injuring his partner as much as Shawn, but he shakes it off after a few seconds and both members of Legacy throw up DX signs. The crowd is literally begging Hunter to come back and save Shawn - I bet he's loving that. HUNTER RETURNS WITH BOLT CUTTERS AT 10:49. Shawn has just eaten a slam into a seated steel chair but Hunter is a house of fire. Knee to the skull of DiBiase. Noggin knocker for Legacy.
SPINERBUSTER INTO THE CHAIR for Rhodes. Hunter goes for a pedigree but gets cut off. DiBiase is elevated over the ropes to the floor. A second ref comes down with a chain to lock the cage, Hunter takes it away before he can lock it up, and wraps it around his fist to drill DiBiase. PEDIGREE ON THE FLOOR. Say good night Teddy! They drag his carcass outside of the ring, throw the bolt cutters INSIDE the cage, then lock it up with the second chain from the inside.
TIME FOR SOME REVENGE! DX start wailing on Cody Rhodes. Hunter wraps a chair around his head, Shawn Michaels goes top rope, Hunter drags Cody into position, and Shawn drops the elbow!!! DiBiase regains conciousness and realizes he can't do a damn thing to help his friend. Hunter goes under the ring to pull out DA BIG SLEDGE. Shawn tunes up the band for Sweet Chin Music, Hunter loads up the sledge, and they BOTH nail Rhodes in the head at the same time! HBK makes the cover for three. WINNERS: D-GENERATION X.
DiBiase gets in the ring as the cage is lifted, and Shawn gives him SWEET CHIN MUSIC as his reward. The crowd starts a DX chant. Their music starts playing again, Hunter and Shawn pose, then do their trademark crotch chops with the X. Lawler and Cole talk us through a replay of the highlights from the match. Sahwn and Hunter pose in opposite corners of the ring, then get back down to strike the trademark muscle pose with Shawn in front of Hunter as the PPV goes off the air at 10:57 PM EST. Good night everyone and Quint, get well soon!
