Wow. Just look at this guy. Bob Sapp looks like something out of a monster movie. If you saw him walking towards you on the street with that look on his face you’d likely cross it. He looks unbeatable. He’s been “flapping his cocksucker” (thanks, RJ City!) about wanting to get in the ring with Mike Tyson. After seeing his fight last night its probably better that he never step into a ring, cage, or anywhere the chances of a fist coming near his face can occur.
Bobby Lashley managed to beat Sapp in the first round of their hyped fight with Ultimate Chaos. Before the fight each of them had words. No matter what Sapp said it didn’t matter. He was manhandled in the first and only round. Did anyone actually pay to see this? Lashley must've listened to The Black Eyed Peas new album because he went Boom Boom Pow on Sapp's ass. Oh, God. Did I just write that?
The fight started with a takedown by Lashley and ended with Lashley pounding Sapp into submission. Literally. This reminds me of the debate on whether or not it was more honorable to tap out of get knocked out. Sapp didn’t do either. If you’re conscious enough to tap from punches your bitch ass is okay enough to fight back. It wasn’t like Lashley was landing clean bombs either. He wasn’t even in a full mount position. It was as if Sapp just didn’t wanna get hurt. Sad.
Its crazy but when you watch a UFC fight versus any other company you become aware of how good UFC referees are. Sapp had tapped out to the punches over 20 seconds into the referee actually seeing it and stopping the fight. Fans booed during the fight as Sapp didn’t get a single punch in. He pawed at Lashley a bit while laying there like a unmotivated turtle, but that was it.
Some wrestlers are getting into MMA and if the results are like what we’ve seen with Lesnar and Lashley, MMA is in for a boost. Bryan Danielson and Victoria/Lisa Marie Varon/Tara has expressed an interest. I would say Kurt Angle has as well but…yeah. That’s never happening. The day we see Angle in a ring is the day we see The Iron Sheik and B. Brian Blair humbling each other with the furiousness of a Roman god. I like Sapp’s look. He looks like a fighter. It just sucks that he seems more like his character in “The Longest Yard” than a beast. Lashley killed the Beast. If only Lashley were this entertaining when he was in WWE…
