Nearing the end of "Raw", Michael Cole reminds us all - as footage did throughout the entire night - that John Cena was put through a 7,000 watt spotlight by The Big Show the night before. The damage done to him was so brutal - apparently - that John Cena couldn't bare to accept the challenge of...The Miz?
But sure enough, the ever powerful, nothing can stop him, makes Wolverine look like Mr. Glass, John Cena has to appear at the end "Raw" to cost Big Show his #1 Contender's spot. Can this muhfugga take one night off to sell an injury?
Can't the show revolve around Randy Orton? Why was his match in the middle of the card while Batista VS. The Big Show battled it out in a God awful main?
Trust the WWE to basically never be able to string together two hot shows in a row. I guess I'm asking for too much.
Speaking of Randy Orton' mid-card performance, why was MVP up in it? Now I'm down for having the brother bask in a bit of spotlight but why now? With MVP's move to "Raw", it kind of suggests that there's a new "division" on this brand. With the U.S. Championship now up for grabs on this show, can't cats like Kofi Kingston, The Brian Kendrick, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and Santino Marella get some kind of look?
I only mention the above as they all appeared on "Raw" last night and would seem somewhat sensible choices to go after this title. Personally, I hate MVP as a face. I know the crowd seems to be eating him up. Apparently everyone loves yelling "BALLIN!" but his goofy ass smile just doesn't work for me.
MVP played a great heel on "SmackDown!". It's hard to buy into his good guyness. But trust the Marky Marks to be all on his jock just 'cuz he's making fun of bad guys now. Either way, I'm glad Orton didn't soundly beat him on "Raw" but instead Montell had a pretty good showing.

I'm a big Santino fan. Surprise, surprise. But I'm not a Santina mark. The "I'm a girl" bit was funny for a segment. Maybe one pay-per-view. But the ongoing pretending to be his sister routine is overly childish...and dare I say it...gay, for my taste.
All jokes aside, in truth, it's simply not as funny as his standard material. In fact, the entire "Diva" match was a total cartoon complete with Hornswoggle appearance, fire extinguisher mist from under the ring, a played out Bella twins runaround and a cheap roll up win. I'd hate to feel that I gotta click fast forward whenever Santino is on the screen...but this bit is creeping up on that territory.
Why was Matt Hardy allowed...no...forced to wrestler wearing a cast? Thanks for the immediate win over Goldust that meant nothing. Like Cena, Hardy should have been able to take the night off. I can't understand why it makes sense to have a guy get beat the fuck down on a PPV only to walk out the next day like he's 100%. Minus the cast, Matt was in top form.
The only guy to not appear on "Raw" after his beatdown was Triple H. Makes sense right? Well in WWE land, it would have been perfectly logical if Hunter, not Shane, had come out to hand Randy some licks. I suppose multiple Sledgehammer shots - instead of the Kendo Stick - may have been pushing it. But hey, would you have been surprised by it?
I need more to beleive in. I need more to keep me watching without going, "COME ON!". I need to tune in without seeing John Cena. I need to stop wishing for these things to happen because my wishes seldom come true. Thanks Vince.

The match in the "middle" of the card is considered a main event. Each hour has a main event, both equally as important.
I didn't hate RAW as much as you did, but I completely agree with you about the Main and Cena.
Cena no shoing the match with the Miz and then showing up later doesn't make him look "tougher" after "surviving" the big bump. It makes him look weaker because he didn't at least come out and put Miz in his place. If he had not showed up at all, it would have played into the "too injured" tip. Well, that makes him the pussy Superman in Superman Returns more than Wolverine.
I didn't love the Divas' match, but it was really a match as much as a segment anyway. I still think the Santina thing can be funny, but last night wasn't. At least it didn't take too long.
I just noticed this last night...WWE has a lot of butterfaced Divas. Not sure if it's bad make up or if the chicks just are living a rough life.
Cowboy Bob Jr must be turning over in his grave seeing his gimmick being revived...what? He's not dead, yet? Matt Hardy makes a much better heel than he ever made as a babyface. He really seems to understand teh psychology better. Not that it matters since he's a glorified jobber now anyway, but the lose didn't hurt Goldust because it was out of nowhere and with the Bob Jr gimmick.
Raw was ok and atleast mvp is getting a push while he can because he will be nowhere when the two champion hogs come back
Im goin to the ecw/smackdown tonight in MSG and they promoted a mvp vs dolph ziggler for the strap and the scramble match for the smackdown # 1 contender it should be good as it usually is at the garden. At least this time there will be no cena hopefully because he ruined my last visit to MSG by making his rumble return and victory.
I jus got back from thge smackdown/ecw/superstars taping in new york at MSG. It was all pretty good and ECW christian vs dremer should of had a real ending. But atleast Jeff is #1 contender for judgment day, And morrison and jericho got into a scuffle backstage towards the end so it may be a decent feud between them then after cm punks beats edge in a non title match he goes to cash in but Umaga beats up cm punk but before the match started so i guess punk keeps the money in the bank. and before edge could attack a weakend punk jeff saves him and hits a swanton on edge to end it. And of course after everything is off the air guess who HAD TO SHOW UP AND FIGHT.....CENA, In an actually decent match team cena, batista and rey beat orton edge and y2j in a 3 on 3 tag match. Crowd was very good and went both ways with basically every kid and girl going lets go cena and every guy sayin cena sucks.
Wait, so after they showed the clip like a thousand times and kept saying that Cena was practically dead they bring him back out to screw over Show? Son of a bitch, WWE needs to get their shit together. They say they want to be more kid friendly but look at this massive block of shit they plopped on here. "Kids don't worry about being thrown into spotlights. Cena got thrown into one and he's still rolling."
Man, that show was a bad time to quit crystal meth...
Just when i think i can let go of the Cena Hate, they give me even MORE of a reason to HATE the guy's character. Triple H can sell a kick to the head but this FUCK can't sell getting thrown through a light????? Come on! This Super Hero Bullshit has got to stop! The whole PG-13 steez will be the death of the fed if they're not careful.
I like MVP as a face. And I'll tell you why: Although it could have been presented better, it was the first proper, complete turn in a long time. As a heel he'd sunk down, down, way down into the depths of a losing streak, and then in that match against the Big Show he hit the most important move of recent WWE history save for Orton's punt kick: the slap. He defiantly slapped Big Show across the face.
And it was a brilliant character moment. It had a lot of emotion, he knew he was gonna get his ass kicked for the slap, but it was a sign that he wasn't going to take it anymore. And slowly he began to build himself up, working up to his redemption, completing it by reclaiming the US title.
And now, because of that, he's made the best kind of heel-to-face turn: he's still a heel in terms of manner and attitude, just on the good side of things. Like Austin or Flair for a start, but a bit more clean. He's still cocky and better than you, but hey, you're not as bad as he thought.
His now-trademark grin only helps that, and I think really added to their exchange on Raw.
And aside from all that, finally MVP is getting some main event shine!
Personally, only thing I'd change about MVP right now is redesign the big
