Ugh. That was just brutal. Some things in TNA never change. One of their supposed marquee pay-per-views, Lockdown, felt incredibly rushed. Everything that was promised greatly underdelivered. In the end, Mick Foley was right. I'm talking a lot about Lockdown, but not for the reasons he'd have hoped. The show started off fairly well, in all honesty. The Xscape match was solid as the curtain jerker, and the O of the night might have been Suicide's leap off of the top of the cage. How sad that the spot of the night came 20 minutes into the show. And please always stop referring to any jump he makes as a "Suicide leap", it's not clever. Big ups to Daniels for that spot, as well as pulling double duty.
ODB won Queen Of The Cage. The Knockouts Division has lost its luster lately, because this match seemed like a throwaway. Ditto with the Knockouts Championship match. Braids tied to the cage? Spare me. I'd much rather see Awesome Kong as the big heel champion as opposed to Angelina Love. However, I would be remissed if I didn't give a HUGE O for Dante Ross' babygirl, Awesome Kong, going for a Swanton Bomb during the match. Only memorable moment of the match.
The length and the pace of the IWGP Jr. tag title match bothered me, but what bothers me more is that Hernandez is still stuck in the tag team division. He's one of the most over wrestlers on the roster, why in God's name not cash in on that by pushing him as a main event singles star?
Stevie Richards is in TNA. Meh. That was a weak payoff for the Morgan/Abyss feud. I get that TNA is trying to condition fans to not look at Abyss as a glorified stuntman, but in the process, they've really made him look terrible. He used to be a heartless monster, now he's letting himself get bitchslapped repeatedly by the founder of Right To Censor.
Team 3D vs. Beer Money was far and away the best match of the night, which shows how pointless it is to have an all-cage pay-per-view, because very little of this match involved the cage. One hell of an entertaining match between two stellar tag teams. I O'd for the Bubba Bomb off of the top rope, as well as the several stiff cage door spots. This match should have been the main event, hands down.
The two co-main events blew chunks. They were terrible. Lethal Lockdown offered only two O's in the form of a Frankensteiner and Styles crashing through the cage, teased a heel turn that never happened, and was overall too short and easily forgettable. And Bobby Lashley debuted at the end of the match. Some people were quick to shit on Lashley debuting, and while I was one of them originally, I've since changed my stance. I'm going to give the guy a chance. Unlike Cena, I do believe that Lashley knows how to sell, so hopefully TNA won't try to build him as the no-selling machine that WWE did.
Mick Foley vs. Sting, the main event, was the worst match of the night. It was slow, it was sloppy, the storytelling was terrible, there were no highlights to the match AT ALL. I realize that Mick Foley actually has made a difference in the ratings since he has arrived, and that his segments are generally the highest rated segments on "iMPACT!", but there was no need to give him the title. I'd have rather seen Sting retain the championship than have Foley win it. Especially since they'll probably hotshot the title to someone else in a month at Sacrifice.
Unless this is a way to move to title to Kurt Angle without splitting Sting apart from the Main Event Mafia, this was a pointless and ridiculous move. Honestly, it still is anyway. *sigh* At least there wasn't a "Cuffed In The Cage" match this year.

Was pretty sure Angelina Love was out of it the last minute of the triple threat match... hate to see Kong drop it, hope Love isn't too concussed.
Seeing Daffney on the roster is cool, hope to see her become more of an active member. Would be nice to MsChif show up sometime as well (MsChif vs. Awesome Kong would be worth the price of any pay per view)
Actually thought it was interesting Foley did everything he said he wasn't going to do. It was almost like he was trying to play up that Foley showed up and not Cactus Jack. Thats not to say that I liked the match, it was just so/so. Foley has gone balls out the last few times he's wrestled and at Lockdown he just didn't bring it.
The lethal lockdown match wasn't bad, everyone got something in, it was a little short considering this was the frontline versus the mafia it should have been amazing instead of ok. All in all it was far better then last years Team Christian vs. Team Tomko, no disrespect to Christian.
Pretty sad that the crowd on thurs. Impact was more energetic then the Philly crowd.
Suicide is bigger than Daniels so there's no way he was Daniels....at least not last night
I loved lockdown.....Dudes just hatin cause BOBBY LASHLEY is in TNA and he just so happens to be black
Could Bobby Lashley's debut been less anti-climactic? Even with no leaks online, just the way they played it out seemed drab.
While I wouldn't say the show was good, I DISAGREE with your comments about certain matches. I thought the opening five way X-Division match sucked aside from the finish.
I thought Cactus Jack vs Sting was a GOOD match. Maybe the crowd wasn't use to psychology after so many spotfests, as they seemed to not be sure how to react to certain stuff, but that was a re-occuring theme all night.
Angelina was knocked out cold at the end. Taylor Wilde had to help her kick out of two pin attempts. Lashley's in TNA. In the words of The Rock when talking about Big Show, "This guy sucks, I'm going to take a leak!" During the Lockdown match, my roomates' girlfriend had the line of the night. Kevin Nash comes to the cage and does his thing with all of us guys talking about how he should retire or at least get a behind the scenes job. RM's GF asks who's Kevin Nash and we all explain him to the best of our abilities. AJ hits that through the cage spot and everyones laid out. After a bit of marking out, we (the guys) are silenced by RM's GF. "Where's Kevin Nash?" To which all of us played a quick game of "Where's the Staph infected giant?" It seriously took me a good 20 seconds to find him. The man had freaking vanished in all the chaos. Honorable mention goes to my roommate who said in response that the reason he's missing is cause no one wanted to touch Nash's elbow herpes
i disgree with you lockdown was a good ppv only both women's matches sucked
TNA is dropping a bollock bigger than Buster Gonads right now
The TNA title is on someone who is a legend but can only work a few matches here and there
The legends title is on AJ Styles.
Go Figure
It seems they are teasing the Goof as Joes new mouthpiece.
Lashley.................can anyone smell an MMA style match with Angle around the corner?
Dude's just hating because Lashley just so happens to be black? Google "happens to be black" along with George Carlin. Just do it.
By the way, this is copied and pasted from the article. "Some people were quick to shit on Lashley debuting, and while I was one of them originally, I've since changed my stance. I'm going to give the guy a chance. Unlike Cena, I do believe that Lashley knows how to sell, so hopefully TNA won't try to build him as the no-selling machine that WWE did."
The whole "changed my stance" thing meant that he wasn't completely unhappy with it and thinks Lashley can and just might do good.
Do you like Tater tots?
Suicide and Homicide should form a tag team called "Chris Benoit"
