TNA Gets A Little More Ginger

According to tnawrestling.com, TNA has signed former Partridge Family star and CCW runner-up, Danny Bonaduce, to wrestle at the company's April PPV, Lockdown.

Hulk Hogan expressed numerous times on his reality show that he was impressed with Bonaduce’s in-ring work – apparently, so too were TNA officials.

Hogan even went as far as saying that Bonaduce had missed his calling – he should have been a professional wrestler all his life. Now Bonaduce gets that chance.

TNA posted the following message on its website today:

DANNY BONADUCE TO WRESTLE AT THE LOCKDOWN PAY-PER-VIEW

TNA Wrestling announced today that Philadelphia-based disc jockey Danny Bonaduce will have his first pro wrestling match on Sunday, April 19, at Lockdown, inside the lethal six-sides of steel.

Bonaduce, the former wise-cracking son on the 1970s television series The Partridge Family, is the morning drive DJ on WYSP (94.1 FM) in Philadelphia.

TNA Wrestling executives would not comment on who Bonaduce's opponent will be, but confirmed that the TNA Wrestling Superstar will be in Philadelphia next Friday, March 20, for the official Contract Signing, to be held on-air during Bonaduce's radio show.

TNA has a long history of publicity stunts and semi-celebrity involvement. Pacman Jones, Mongo McMichael and A.J. Pierzynski are just a few examples of people they've used recently from the sports community. They've also invited politicians such as Sarah Palin and disgraced former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich to appear on their shows.

Perhaps figuring out how to utilize the talent they already have would be a better option for the company.

Hopefully, TNA has more to say on this news on Thursday's "iMPACT!", perhaps even on who Bonaduce will be facing inside the Six Sides of Steel. If so, you'll hear about it in "Tha iMPACT! Investigation," which I'll post on Friday morning.

Yeah, because Boneduce is the future of wrestling. No, not guys like Styles, Lethal, or any number of guys that have been in the company for years. TNA reminds me of a chick that decides to start giving blowjobs as he is walking out the door for the last time. Just another quick fix.
