In a move that was rumored for quite some time, but doubted heavily, Tazz (Peter Senerchia) has left World Wrestling Entertainment.Tazz worked the "SmackDown!" tapings last night, said a few goodbyes, and left. His contract expires today.
Tazz began his work as a commentator on Sunday Night Heat in October of 2000. He was moved to "SmackDown!", then ECW and back to "SmackDown!" in 2008.
Many felt that Colt Cabana was being groomed for this role, but he was let go several weeks back. WWE struck gold accidentally when Mick Foley left his commentating duties last summer - and they dug up Matt Stryker. The company doesn't believe they have anyone near ready to step in at that level - but then again - Tazz was never at that level.
This ends one of the longest colour commentator streaks in fed history and effectively ends one of my favourite segments on Tha O Show radio program - "Tazz Is a Fuckin Goof!".

JBL will eventually resume his role as the colour man on SmackDown.
Some rumours suggest that it will happen sooner rather than later, and this Tazz deal seems to add fuel to that fire.
Maybe JBL's "big WrestleMania plan" will be to retire as I-C champ.
This upsets me only because i will miss the TIFG segments of the program
Maybe Tazz will commentate for Wrestlicious. That will put them on the map and eventually put the WWE out of business. Wait, no. Put Sid Vicious on Wrestlicious. Pure gold.
I was thinking the same thing as Andrew about JBL for the last few weeks. The only draw back to that would be that if that's the big announcement it would acknowledge that it's all scripted. Hell he first made this announcement before he even won the belt from Punk. I wouldn't be shocked if JBL's historic moment involves some kind of donation to a charity or something along the lines of helping the economic depression. Being that he has ties with Wall Street, it would make him actually look like a wrestling god in the eyes of non wrestling fans. Plus think of the positive PR it would give to Vince.

like we love to shit on him because he always fucks up but i never thought he would actually leave.
