Once again ROH delivers a solid ass hour of action. Besides getting to see some fresh faces square off every week, the other good thing about watching this show is that I see new things happen in the ring. No, I’m not talking about a new way to come flying off the ropes (though its there if you want), but taking simple moves and just tweaking them. The first match up is Eddie Edwards (with Larry Sweeney) vs. Kevin Steen. I had seen Steen before from tagging with El Generico. Now most fans would look at someone like Steen and say he doesn’t have the look of a wrestler. Now let me break something down for you. Watch a wrestling match pre-Hogan.
Most of the guys look like Steen. But you would have never seen Don Muraco attempt a Swanton. Good pacing and back and forth by these two. Steen wins with a Package Piledriver and adds the snotrocket as another wrestling “move” I’d never take. Steen walks that fine line between heel/face well.
Another thing I like about this show: Short interviews. Nigel McGuiness pretty much says what he’ll do to Jay Briscoe later. Will it happen? Keep reading, you lazy such and such.
Daizee Haze is up against Sara Del Rey. Sweeney is out with her and bugging the hell out of me. I don’t like this guy. Maybe it was after his appearance on Tha O Show. Anyway, Haze is tiny as hell but in shape. She reminds you of that chick in school that was hot but just strange.
Del Rey dominates most of this match. What I liked was that this wasn’t two blonde bitches just rolling around while you waited for a titty to pop out. These two put on a good match with Del Rey winning her Royal Butterfly. May I add that Sara Del Rey has awesome ass thighs? Sweeney is all over her like a cheap suit.
The Briscoe’s are up with a an interview. This guy Kyle Durden is a good interviewer. He doesn’t ham it up like Jeremy Borash and just lets guys speak. Jay Briscoe makes me aware that apparently there are parts of Delaware that a very ghetto. Mark is still out with a knee injury and will be in his brothers corner for his match against current champ McGuiness.
“Sugarfoot” Alex Payne is up against Claudio Castagnoli. I like Claudio and was happy years back when he was supposed to head to WWE. Now I am one of those guys that are happy when guys don’t go or leave before they get their images destroyed. Payne is a small guy. Like, really small. Lots of roll ups and pin attempts by him. Claudio could have come out and just squashed the guy but he does a good job of keeping the match exciting. A body press/European uppercut followed by the Ricola Bomb ends this one.
Jay Briscoe is up against Nigel McGuiness is a non-title match. Nigel gets into the ring and grosses me out. If you don’t know why you haven’t seen Nigel get into the ring. Imagine Melina but wrong. Jay sold the shit out of his arm being hurt during this match. Nigel is working with an injured arm (legit shoot legitimately shoot hurt) but covers it well.
Yes, his arm is wrapped and it looks like its slowly turning into Max Moon but whatever. I would’ve liked to see Jay “Man up!” as he says and fight back more but I cant complain. A few times I really thought Jay would pull this win out but alas, Nigel turns him inside out with his Jawbreaker Lariat and wins. Surprised that he shook his unconscious hand after the match.
Another good hour of wrestling in a world where we have seven other hours where we wonder what is wrong with wrestling. A good second outing by ROH and something happened that I hadn’t felt in so long: I cant wait until next week to watch wrestling again!

Now professing his love for Montel Jordan, the NEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW president of the Montel Jordan fan club...Danteeeeee Ross!
Man, ain't nothing wrong with liking that song. I dare you to go to a party and as soon as the beat starts not cheer. All a chick needs to hear is "Sha-na-nana-na-na-nana..." and she gets wet.
Some hardcore ROH fans dont like the new show but I equate that to the same people that scream "sellout" when someone succeeds.

It is accomplishing what it needs to accomplish. HD Network is backing it by the # of times it rebroadcast it during the week and the show is manly to help promote the PPV and Live shows. The product looks good and this weekend I will get a nice close look at the live product. People please look at the live shows for this one. The price is great as they are giving a 30% discount for the live tickets, plus a 15% coupon for next orders, till 12 o'clock est on March 30. I bought two tickets for the PPV taping for under $30 dollars. As we see with Tha O'show, we need to support products that are good if we want to keep them around.
damn ROH on a Chanel I don't get....
time to "GOOGLE IT"
