Tha A List Analysis

Christian is such a good fit on ECW. Last week, when he returned, I agreed with the decision for multiple reasons, and after his first week in ECW, I agree with the decision moreso. They can literally take Christian in any direction they want creatively by having him start on ECW. Not only that, but Christian is also a veteran, and it certainly can't hurt the ECW roster to have another one of those.

Christian will face Swagger next week for the title. I'm scratching my head at this idea somewhat. I personally would have saved this match until WrestleMania, but maybe this will be a schmoz leading to a rematch at the big daddy of them all.

Tyson Kidd is good. Simply put. Young talent like Kidd, Evan Bourne, and Jack Swagger is part of the reason why I like ECW so much. It's a shame that he was in developmental for so long, and then waiting in the wings for even longer, but now he's on TV and he's getting a push, so no point in belaboring the time it took. Hopefully this push will lead to something and won't be like the countless other times where a superstar started off undefeated only to completely fall off the radar after their first loss.

Paul Burchill got a win, which is exciting, because I still maintain that he is one of the most underutilized talents in WWE. Dude's got charisma, dude can work, and they should have never dropped the pirate gimmick, in my opinion. Is it cheesy? A little bit, but "SmackDown!" has, for so long, been a gimmick driven show, and regardless of gimmick, he would be solid in their midcard, or in "Raw"'s midcard as well, for that matter. Why is this guy not in the Intercontinental Championship picture? You mean to tell me he couldn't have dope matches with CM Punk? Fuck!

John Morrison and The Miz are still picking on Tommy Dreamer; I can't believe this program has found the legs that it has, when it happened I was sure it would only last a week at most. With the way this is building, I'm almost wondering if the ECW Championship will find its way around Morrison's waist sometime before One Night Stand. Morrison is a face of the future in WWE, and if they give him the ball, he can run with it.

I'm almost entirely expecting Swagger to go over next week, but after that last paragraph, I'm wondering if maybe Christian is going to go over and hold the title until Morrison takes it off of him. What do you guys think? I've told you guys what I'd like to see, now it's time to hear some "O"pinions. If you were the booker, how would you book next's week title match, and then where you would take the program from there?

Tha Results:
*Paul Burchill def. Boogeyman
*John Morrison def. Tommy Dreamer
*Tyson Kidd def. local competitor
*Christian & Finlay def. Jack Swagger & Mark Henry

Let Christan chase till Mania, with the whole thing being that Christan has his number. At Mania, keep the strap on Swagger having him win clean. Build that momentum into Backlash with Swagger getting dominate wins over contenders. This whole time have Tommy Dreamer get fed up with his losing streak and going back to his hardcore roots. The whole premise to this is that Dreamer has kicked it up and Swagger being damn near untouchable.

One complaint about Swagger, he phones in his pin attempts. He's rollin off before anyone attempts the escape. Its annoying.
