Horrible way to go, but the more I think about it, the more I think it’s what Evan chose. The former champion in the UFC was always a dark and brooding figure in a community that is strongly founded in brotherhood. He was always fiercely private, when others seem to think that each other's business is a birth right - not a priveledge. Tanner was always searching for inner peace. I hope he found it.
With that said – let’s move on to the rest of the Tuesday Turn-Table y’all.

The story is terrific, and other than a few continuity issues, and the fact that the ROH ring seemed to stick out like a sore thumb, I really enjoyed it. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rourke nominated for an Oscar, but then get run down by the Heath Ledger love-in Express.
Apparently, I’m not the only one who thought this movie was solid either - Fox Searchlight Pictures has purchased the distribution rights to the film for four million bucks. That means that The Wrestler is the first major sale of any film at TIFF. Once the festivals are over and done with, The Wrestler will be coming to a theatre near you and not straight to the bottom shelf of the local video rental shop.
Fun at the Festival – met a ton of celebs. One of the best is when I was introduced to LeBron James. He asked me how tall I was. When he doubted my claim, we went back to back. I had him by half an inch y’all. I also told him I’d MERK him on the court … if we were playing Live 09.
I didn’t get a chance to see LBJ’s film but I hear it’s awesome.
Most of the upper deck at this past Sunday’s Unforgiven was blocked off due to ticket sales being shitalaz. Way to represent Cleveland. When Unforgiven was in tha T Dot, that bitch was fulled up. And when Judgment Day comes through in '09 I guaran-dam-tee another sell out.

And yes, Kendrick did a nice little job on PPV. Emphasis on “job”. Sure, he was interim champ for about 30 seconds, but most of the 7 pinfalls in that match were on him. This could be used to elevate him to the moon, but I have a weird feeling it won’t and the status quo will remain in tact.
Kendrick’s win, and that of all the guys who won during the scramble do NOT count as title reigns… so WHY is Triple H now a 13 Time World Champion??? Shouldn’t that match have simply counted as a successful title defense? I’m actually really hot about this… and at the guy who called it.
To summarize. I don't hate Rey Rey. I hate Bret Hart.
Fuck you J.R.

Apparently there was an incident over the weekend that saw Ric Flair bloodied and bruised after defending his daughter Ashley from her 22 year old boyfriend outside Ashley’s home. Ashley was irate and when polie tried telling her to chill the fuck out, she kicked their cruiser and got tasered!
Ashley is being charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. Her douchebag boyfriend is being charged with not bein Fair to Flair! Ric Knows Best! Book it.
Tom Brady’s season is over after an alleged dirty hit (looked accidental to me). A collective “Holy fuck we have a shot to get in!!” could be heard emanating from Buffalo, and East Rutherford, NJ.
Kurt Angle was acquitted of DUI charges because the hillbilly who filed the charges stumbled on his own words and the cops wouldn’t corroborate his story. Let me be all Black Prophet for a second. ‘I bet that witness was a black man, and it Angle’s first name was Tyrone his ass would be behind bars right now’.
Speakin of TNA dudes – Team 3D is NOT jumping back to the fed. After some posturing, they have signed a two year extension of their current deal.
I got an email over the weekend from an O-ster telling me that Mick Foley made his TNA debut at a house show. Check it out. Kinda anti-climatic no? Makes you think they’ve already screwed this thing up.

No it wasn’t a car accident … he was jogging, and was hit by a fuckin cement truck! He suffered severe nerve damage to his left arm, but is otherwise ok.
A fuckin cement truck!
Former WCW star who had a few moments in TNA tagging with Shark Boy - Norman Smiley signed a deal and with WWE recently. Smiley has already started in his new role as trainer with the fed’s developmental. I met Norman in the old WCW and again last summer at an indy show in Ontario. He’s a class act, but I wonder how his style of teaching will mesh with some of the youngsters down there.

It wasn’t that long ago, I wrote on Tha O Show about Liddell’s apparent invincibility. Now, fans are writing him off. The way I saw the fight – he won the first round, and then got caught with a haymaker from hell. It happens. The big question mark is why he did the same thing in this fight that he did against Jardine and Rampage. He was the aggressor, instead of being the best counter puncher in the history of the sport.
The counter attack is what made Liddell so dominant as Light Heavyweight Champion. I doubt that’s the last we’ll see of Chuck.
Hell, even if his UFC run came to an end, are you telling me there isn’t PPV money for Liddell VS either Shamrock? Or Liddell VS Kimbo? Cha-fuckin-Ching.
Congrats to O Show member Notorious T.I.D. on his nuptials this past weekend. It was a beautiful ceremony with a wicked reception. T.I.D. will be taking a couple weeks off from The Pit Stop, as he continues the celebration in his home town of Las Vegas.
Some of the fall out from that night…
Hornet: Which way to ice and vending? Was that guy REALLY a worker?
Dan-e-o: You better move out of Asylum’s spot.
Asylum: Best splash ever. Free hot dogs are the best kind.
Otto Bahn: Asylum hates you!
Burns: I still taste your stiff-ass elbows you big Savage mark.
Madrox: Did that guy really spit on me?
Robert Englund: What time’s the game?

By the way – from this point forward, I wish to be known only as Donnie Ocho Cinco. Reebok may be able to prevent Chad from using his new legally obtained handle, but Reebok ain't got shit on me.
I prefer Adidas anyway bitches.

No way should Chuck be done people get tagged eventually. The only problem was that he dropped that left hand just like he did against Rampage. He had to be the aggressor Rashad had already said he was going to make Chuck chase him and hope he wore out.
Give Cleveland a break. They're the fourth poorest city in the US, and the Browns, off of a 10-6 season, had their season opener the same time. Most people were there. They did represent...just not what you wanted them to represent.
The 13th run is Triple H dick waving and trying to break Ric Flair's record.
The Bills have a legit shot thanks to an easy schedule and Edwards and Lynch developing faster than most thought, and that's coming from someone who is not a Bills fan (rather, a lifelong Bucs fan). However, everyone seems to think for some reason that Favre is going to completely turn the Jets around. Can anyone explain this one to me? I don't get it.
Poor Nathan Jones.
I hope Chad Johnson gets traded and has his jersey number changed to 82. Stop worrying about your last name and worry more about the fact that your team played like total shit last Sunday.
Casur arent those all reasons for the E to NOT go there at ALL????????????????????
It was their first pay-per-view in 4 years, so it's not like WWE frequently has pay-per-views there. It will probably be a long time before Cleveland sees another one, as well. I live near Buffalo, which is not a high income or big market city. We went from 1999 to 2005 without the Fed having a pay-per-view here. That's just the way the business is. Learn where the money is, and don't go where it's not.
Besides, how many O-sters would have thrown down money to go and watch what was, going in, a poorly booked and poorly promoted show? I actually had the opportunity to go to this show and passed because it looked abysmal on paper.
lots of people would are you kidding me? when they coem to new york you bet ill go to see my wrestlers wrestle, who cares if it aint booked right the show would still be fun.
if you dont go because of booking your a sad little piece of shit
No, I'm not kidding you. How many people were at Unforgiven?
As far as me not going...I live in Buffalo. Unforgiven was in Cleveland. That's a minimum 3 hour drive each way, plus a full tank of gas in addition to the ticket cost.
If Unforgiven was in Buffalo, yes, I would've gone regardless, you are right on that, havoc. I do in fact plan on being at Armageddon come December 14, and I was at The Great American Bash in 2005 (speaking to your point of going even if it's brutal). However, if the show is in a town where going involves making a day of it (in my case, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Toronto), I want the show to be worth my while. Nothing about this show had me excited, so I wasn't not dropping 60 bucks on gas plus 150 for a ticket. I'm guessing a lot of people that could've driven in and made a day of it are in the same boat.
It's based on cash. But then E should go to Toronto twice a year minimum for PPV
