Tha "iMPACT!" Dispatch

You're absolutely right, Samoa Joe. Things in TNA are about to get interesting. And everybody does want in on the fun. At least, I know I do, which is why I am once again Tha O Show's resident TNA reviewer.

TNA is always an interesting anomaly to cover, partly because, much like Forrest Gump and his famous box of chocolates, you never really know what you're going to get. On many occasions, TNA has had a golden opportunity in front of them, and squandered it; conversely, there have also been times where they took something routine and surprised us all with how good it was.

The tenures of both Christian Cage and Rhino are great personal examples of the aforementioned ebb and flow. Both are former world champions within TNA, both have been faces, heels, and tweeners at some point in time, and unfortunately, both are relegated to being a semi-irrelevant afterthought. Nothing has come of their tagging recently, nor does it seem like anything is coming soon, unless you really think that The Guitar Heroes count for much in TNA.

I'm not down with the Shiek Abdul Bashir name. Some names in wrestling just don't work, and to me, Daivari works a lot better. However, with a win against Jay Lethal last night, it at least looks like one of TNA's signings isn't going to waste. Let's hope that Cody Deaner and Tyson Dux soon find themselves in a similar situation.

Was anybody else getting a Pretty Mean Sisters vibe last night when The Beautiful People introduced their new associate, Cute Kip? Love and Sky can work their gimmick, and Kip James won't serve as a noticeable upgrade on the mic, so this is a move that smacks of "Well, let's give him something to do, even if it sucks."

The Women's Division in TNA seems to be getting a little less press these days, but that doesn't mean it's not still great. Taylor Wilde and Christy Hemme put on a respectable match last night in which Hemme didn't look like a total herb. Ever since she broke into the business, she's put over how flexible she is, so it's nice to see her finally use that in a ring.

The split of LAX is officially being teased, and I believe last night was Hernandez' litmus test. He went one on one with James Storm in what was a fucking fantastic match. The big man worked his ass off and got pops for every little thing he did. This motherfucker is over, and he has the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. And if you're that concerned about LAX shirt sales, just split them up and put out a Hernandez shirt, it'll sell just as well if not better.

Apparently Samoa Joe has a temper these days, as evidenced by him going berserk after his and Kevin Nash's match against Team 3D and ultimately getting their victory nullified. For the record, I think the "wrestler wins but goes nuts after the match so the ref overturns the decision" is retarded, and if I see promos in the future about how Joe's temper "cost him a match", I'm going to hit my TV with a chair.

AJ Styles is finally back where he belongs, that being the main event. Kurt Angle also finally seems to be giving him some rub. First, AJ went over in the Last Man Standing Match last Sunday, and last night, he defeated Kurt Angle to win Angle's gold medal. Normally, I would say that this is the schmozziest of schmoz endings, but a worked amateur match is boring to watch, and the ending where the lights went down twice, each time going back up to find one of the competitors holding a weapon, helps to drive the upcoming storyline.

Why Sting though? Sting is not a good heel. It's been talked about multiple times. I get that Sting is an icon in the business, but Sting is not the guy to be leading the brigade. Have Kurt or Booker be the head guy, or, if the spoilers are right, have Foley be the head figure. You don't even have to change the bat weapon, just have the bats start being covered in barbed wire.

Sonjay dutt is like the villian of TNA. I was cracking up the way he crept down to the ring, did the hindu press, then did his pose. I can see him in some joker type scenarios where he just freaks out his opponent.

Hernandez did a nice promo this week, was raw. I don't read spoilers or go to crap sheet sites, so I'm not thinking about an LAX split, hopefully they get new members. If WWE released Carlito, he'd be cool in LAX (with a new name of course).

I don't think Sting has turned into a bad guy, I think it's more he's tired trying to be nice to guy's like Joe and AJ, when they just end up doing things they're way all the time. Sting's a righteous being, but every now and then, he gets aggressive, like when he took out the nWo.

I love the whole lights going out, then Angle has Sting's bat, then they went out again and Jarrett's music played. I can't wait until Jarrett comes back.

Also,

I wish TNA had another 1 hour show & another singles title. TNA is the only mainstream company that genuinely tries to make everyone on the roster happy by having them on TV, but since they only have 2 hours a week, it gets a bit crowded.

Hernandez is over like A MUTHAFUCKA!
That dude is the future of TNA if they book him right.I totally agree that Sting as a heel=BULLSHIT! He just can't pull it off. I can't believe that i'm actually looking forward to seeing Jeff Jarett back. The knockouts match actually was pretty fuckin good. I thought Christy Hemme was only good for a few pumps and a dump but she actually showed me a lil sumthin last night.

ok, i'm in the States, so I don't know if u guys seen this, but during the knockout match with Wilde and Hemme there was a flashup. For literally the blink of an eye popped up an add for a website (i'm not gonna give away the name unless u guys want me too), but when u go there, it takes u to a myspace page where it mentions how he 'has to be patient' and that TNA "will soon know him". i'm not sure if this is something TNA is doing, or this is some sort of hacker that spliced something in with the match. but if anyone else seen it let me know. It's for a split second during Taylor's and Christy's match.

Btw, another good article. I hope TNA don't drop the ball once again, they have so much talent.

I saw that too, anonymous. It was done by TNA, not by a hacker. That's all I'm going to say, I know what they're doing but don't want to ruin it.

ok cool, thanks casur. I had a feeling it was TNA oriented but wasn't certain.
