With the WWE Draft upcoming on June 23rd, I believe everyone has played a little fantasy booker in their heads and on their computers. As is customary here on Tha O Show it's time for a little Fantasy booking of our own. I'm no Big Daddy Donnie, but I'll give it a whirl. With the roster the WWE has as a whole I'll narrow it down to two workers for each show with explanations, and then two more with no explanation. Otherwise this could crawl out into a twenty or thirty page rambling.
Since "Raw" is considered the flagship show of WWE I'll begin with the two guys who I'd like to see head to the "A" show, you know the one that does the big ratings.
CM Punk:It's no mystery that the smarks are on the CM Punk bandwagon, and while he does apparently have a lot of heat backstage, Vince and Stephanie are reported to be in love with him. CM Punk has long had a reputation of rubbing people the wrong way, but he also has a reputation for being over.
Sure he may be dealing with the "is that it?" problems in WWE, but chances are some of those asking that question feel threatened, but I digress. Punk has been over in ECW since his vignettes debuted two years ago. He gets good pops when he's on "Raw," and I don't see that stopping anytime soon.
Batista:
This may not be a popular choice, but what really is left for Batista on Friday nights? He's been in his fair share of recycled feuds and there is no need to continue that. Put him on "Raw" and let him compete against some guys he hasn't faced, or at least, hasn't faced in a while.
Guys like Paul Burchill, a full feud with Jericho, Kennedy, and Jeff Hardy spring to mind. As long as he and Cena never have to meet in the ring I'll be ok, because that would be...tragic. Batista can work as a heel, and get a reaction as a face, so he'd fit in on "Raw" in the role he was needed in.
He may not be the most over guy in the smark community, but in the world that the E tends to target he's still pretty over. Each character can grow stale, and his certainly has on Friday's, maybe it's time for him to take a trip to Monday.I'm going to take a slightly different approach to "SmackDown!" There is a need for a mid-card on both "Raw" and "SmackDown" but "SmackDown," while maybe the most watchable doesn't have any challengers for Matt Hardy to defend his title against, or for the World Champion to have in a one off main event if need be.
Carlito:
While he is a "SmackDown" vet, getting his start there, there just seems to be no constant spot for him on "Raw." I know some people aren't big supporters of Carlito, but he can hold his own, and on "SmackDown" he could be one of the anchors of the mid-card that they are sorely lacking.
While I know the chance of him being in the second and third generation heel stable is enticing, him being a factor on "SmackDown" is a little more enticing at least at this time. Some work with Matt Hardy, Gregory Helms when he returns, Finlay, and Jamie Noble would no doubt be at the least solid matches.Umaga:
The Samoan Bulldozer has been buried enough on "Raw" and lost in the shuffle as well. Umaga is a valuable heel, and can work his ass off as well. There are countless feuds and places he can be thrown into on "SmackDown" as well as being made a believable monster heel once again.
Have him squash a few local workers, then a lower-card babyface, then a mid-card guy and then enter him into a feud with a babyface, to get him over as a heel and put the face in the position to be the sympathetic babyface, and get him over a little more as well.
ECW is a show where there's the ECW Champion, and then there's everyone else. It seems that on ECW anyone can be thrown into the title picture at any time, and since it's a one hour show, with one major title that's ok. A little more order and an extra character or two though may push ECW to that next level.
Trevor Murdoch:
While I too hoped that the Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch program would be something of a feud this past Monday night's "Raw" revealed it to be the opposite. Put Trevor Murdoch on ECW, let him get a chance to shine a little more, develop his character, and position him in a major ECW feud.
While I think Trevor has all the potential in the world, and believe him to be a better worker than Cade, Cade has the look and will most likely get the big push at least concerning the two of them. Being Shawn Michaels' student probably didn't hurt Cade's standing either.
Kenny Dykstra:
People have been wondering as of late where Kenny is, and other than the knee problems he developed earlier, his attitude has been rubbing a lot of people the wrong way. Send him to ECW let him do whatever it is they want him to do there. He can move up, he can move down, or he can stay stagnant. Just make him visible again.
I never was high on his work, but I do think he can work and if not in a feud, could at least provide some good matches on ECW.
Two more to "Raw"
Big Daddy V and Rey Mysterio
Two more to "SmackDown"
Elijah Burke and John Cena
Two more to "ECW"
Charlie Haas and Super Crazy

I'll Play fantasy draft:
To Raw: Elijah Burke, MVP, Mysterio, Miz
To ECW: Jamie Noble, Jeff Hardy, Gregory Helms, Batista
To Smackdown: CM Punk, Umaga, Cena, Mickie James and every "diva" that can actually work. Leave the eye candy on Raw and ECW.
Having ECW as a brand is both good and very bad. Good because we get to see some decent matches from guys like Bourne, Shelton, Kofi, and so on. But very bad because guys like that could be useful on RAW or SD, but since they'd most likely only job on those shows, you can't put them on there without the risk of them being lost in the shuffle, and eventually released.
I really can't see the draft going too well no matter what you do, because of ECW being that side brand while RAW and SD "go at it".
Fantasy Draft is it....
