It was less than two weeks ago that Bart Gunn (real name Mike Polchlopek Jr.) felt like he was on top of the world. He made a return to "Raw" after many years, has been training hard for an upcoming MMA fight and was said to be in the best shape of his life.Then - none of that mattered anymore.
On December 14th 2007, Polchlopek's 19 year old son Mike Polchlopek III was accidentally shot in the head while his friend Cody Grooms (aged 18) was cleaning his .22 caliber rifle.
At this point, no arrests have been made or charges filed - but an investigation is still beind conducted.
Polchlopek III died Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Michal was born in Titusville, FL. He was a graduate of Eau Gallie High School, and worked for All-Pro Roof Cleaning.
Michal is survived by his father, Michal Polchlopek Jr.; mother, Brenda (step-father, Don) Farrish; sister, Amanda Polchlopek; brothers, Gage Polchlopek and Logan Farrish; grandparents, Fred and Peggy Corley, Michal Sr. and Jacklyn Polchlopek; step grandmother, Mary Farrish; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family is asking for donations to Toys for Tots, Marine Corps Recruiter Station, 2235 W. New Haven Avenue, West Melbourne FL 32904, in memory of Michal B. Polchlopek III.
All of us here extend our deepest condolences to the family.
