Rated O Radio - Episode 17

Tha O Show RadioWhat up O-sters! Welcome to the first-ever Big Daddy Donnie-less edition of Tha O Show!

No, the big man did NOT get blown up in a white limousine...he's simply under the weather. But have no fear, Dan-e-o and F'n Frank Fronte hold it down to deliver yet another exhilarating edition of your favourite internet wrestling show.

We attempted to get this show up online Thursday as usual, but technical difficulties prevented it. Sorry for the inconvenience!

On this week's episode...

Frank finally gets to give his two cents as he goes back and forth with Dan-e-o in their patented "Os And NOs".

Jason Sensation returns from his short hiatus to "pre-shoot" from the ass a little bit. He makes yet ANOTHER open challenge - this time to Kevin Kelly - to get on Tha O Show for a war of words! Can't-miss-stuff as usual!

An all-time classic edition of "Road Stories" is showcased this week as a hilarious gem is dropped by our very own T.J. (a.k.a. Sinista) of Secret Suburbia!

Tha boys discuss this past weekend's pay-per-view events: UFC 72 and TNA's Slammiversary.

Dan and Frank also preview this coming Sunday's WWE PPV, Vengeance: Night of Champions.

And sitting in on "Tha Round Table" is not one but TWO special guests! The (as far as Tha O Show is concerned) best damn tag-team on the planet: Asylum & Burns...The Flatliners!

Not working yet.

To say I was sick is more than an understatement...

I had a problem with a faulty pair of contact lenses last weekend that basically burnt up both my eyeballs ... leaving me with severe abrasions on my retinas (is that spelled right? Ah fuck it).

From Monday - Thursday I was blinder than Crazy Steve and more strained than an A-cup bra wrapped around Traci Brooks.

I literally couldn't open my eyes for 3 days. O fuck ya, a lawsuit is a comin'.

Big Daddy Donnie is feelin just fine now and I'll be back next week to kick Frank the hell outta my chair and go back to doin what I do best...

By the way... what's with all the whining? The show's working just fine.

Frank is right. I read an article saying the same thing regarding dropping the death angle.

Big Daddy Donnie had his eyes burnt out and he's still O-sting?? HES HARDCORE!

I read the article Plunkett and Fronte read. Therefore the three of us are absolutely correct, as for the rest of you.....

Damn Don, that sounds like a pain in the ass, correct that, eye. Glad you're back at 100%. Only thing, you'll be kicking Dan out of your chair, Dan will be kicking Frank out of his, and Frank will be banished back to the lowly standing position of the producer. By the way, Dan mentioned falling out of the chair, was that because it was too high?

Great show though Frank and Dan. I think Fronte did more than enough to fill the boots of Dan-e-o who did a great job filling the over 12" of distance seperating he and Donnie.

As far as the PPV's go, I've always felt that the E would draw better buy rates and more interest if a PPV had a specific focal point. Not having the same old focal point of WWE. The focus being on the IC strap, the WWE strap, the US title, the World title, even a good tag team feud could do it. Remember the days of old that saw tag teams main event quite regularly? Whose to say that it couldnt be done again?

Wrestling has indeed evolved from the days of Michael P.S. Hayes and Dusty Rhoades(writers of SmackDown and ECW respectively) but with the proper focus, the fans could still be treated to the matches we expect, but in a different order and a different light, that would indeed allow a match not for the WWE or World championships to be the main event of every PPV.

WrestleMania 3 was 54.99 or whatever. Good God. I bought it on VHS at a WalMart in I think Gaffney, SC in 1994 or 5 only 7-8 years after(well I didn't buy it the dad did) for the standard VHS price at the time of $22.97 give or take .03.

UFC shouldn't number their PPV's. That's the main reason I've never bought one. The only one I remember watching was UFC34(not at all the correct number) because it was UFC34: So and So vs. JoJo Jabron. I am such a dumbass to the world of UFC it doesnt interest me, but that fight did, it was an actual fight in the name.

Another tshirt contest...whoever wins this one, congratulations.

I've been so behind on hearing the shows for a couple weeks cause of comp issues, but this morning I finally caught up. Great show, I gotta say I like hearing Fronte's point of view but it's not the same without Donnie. He has just an "it" factor on the mic, he brings it all together.

I thought the workers' take on the death angle is interesting. Alot of them don't seem too upset...

Good show, and now I am finally fucking caught up.

KittyLuv69 said...

frank why dont you just stop talking then? or better yet cut out yur tounge...if you dont want to do it ill do it for you

Anonymous said...

Because BabyGoth, if you or Frank cut out his tongue, you'd have no use left for him...

Anonymous said...

WWE just posted the following message on their official website. This is not a joke:

BENOIT FOUND DEAD

WWE is sad to report that Chris Benoit and his family have been found dead in their home. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Tonight's Raw will be a tribute to Chris and his family.
