Disco In An Inferno Of Trouble

Former WCW and TNA star Glen Gilberti, known to wrestling fans as Disco Inferno, was arrested late Monday as part of an investigation into a large-scale gambling ring in Roswell, Georgia. The gambling allegedly involved high stakes no-limit hold-em poker where gamblers would pay a fee of $10,000 to get into the game. A game was ongoing during the bust.

According to newspaper reports, Twenty-seven people were arrested with two, Gilberti and an accomplice, charged with felony gambling charges. The others were expected to be charged with misdemeanors. 20 cars, one of which contained over 200 ecstacy pills, were also impounded.

Reports indicate that since Gilberti was one of the co-operators of the gambling ring that he will more than likely face a conviction. Along with felony charges relating to the gambling ring, Gilberti, according to WGCL is also being charged for a violation of the controlled substance act.

The gambling bust made all of the local newscasts and newspapers in the Atlanta market. Gilberti has been a long-time Georgia resident since his days with World Championship Wrestling and has remained there since. Gilberti had been working a light independent wrestling schedule since parting ways with Total Nonstop Action in 2005. Gilberti has been credited for being a true creative force in professional wrestling and was even, for a short time, a member of the TNA booking team.

Tha O Show will have more details as they become available.
