This past weekend was one that I will not be forgetting soon. On Friday while attending Great Canadian Wrestling I had the honor of meeting one of the true gentlemen of professional wrestling, Kamala. Donnie, Dan-e-o, and myself headed backstage for our first encounter with Mr. Harris and were amazed at how soft-spoken and nice he was. An incredibly humble and honest man I can only think to myself that Kamala was way too nice for professional wrestling.
The great pleasure came that night when I was able to see Kamala perform for the sell-out crowd at the Legion Hall.
Kamala was amazingly entertaining as he was joined by Ontario indy stand-out Crazzy Steve. The duo came out victorious as they defeated Cody 45 and Gutter, but the story of the match was seeing the look on the faces of the fans in attendance. Kamala and Crazzy Steve played off each other like a veteran comedy duo as they made the capacity crowd laugh hysterically at many points of the match. Kamala then performed in another tag-team match on Saturday for Living Legends Wrestling along side Hayden Avery.
No matter which wrestler I asked, they all said the exact same thing, "Kamala is such a nice guy." Kamala didn't walk into the locker room with the ego of a big star, rather he treated everyone around him as equals and with the out most respect. A true gentlemen.
If you were in attendance for either LLW of GCW feel free to tell us what you thought. For information on how you can purchase the DVD's from these shows, follow the links below.
