Is it possible that the highlight of this entire Pay-Per-View was Ashley's painted tits?
Yup. Believe it folks.
Sadly, on a show where our expectations were way down, the WWE had an opportunity to "wow" us. Throw in a surprise, shock us with a surprising finish... something! Nope.
This is what qualifies as a shocking surprise to the fed.
By the way, no truth to the rumor that Dan-e-o was the one who painted her funbags. He's not nearly that good with a brush.
As expected, The Undertaker ate a spinebuster from his tag team partner Batista, setting the deadman up for a superkick, an FU and a pinfall.
All this did was cement the fact that Taker's WrestleMania winning streak is NOT in jeopardy and he'll be leaving Detroit with a shiny new belt.
Ken Kennedy worked his ass off against Bobby Lashley, but the match ended in a DQ when the ref spotted the champ using a chair. Kennedy is money in the bank. I don't know when his MEGA PUSH is coming, but dammit, it better be soon.
London & Kendrick retained their titles against the Greaser team of Deuce and Domino. I said it in the preview for this show, it would have made a LOT more sense to have the challengers go over. If you missed that bit of booking, go read it.
They took the easy (and far less compelling) way out by having the titles stay where they are. Who's going to give these guys a compelling match at Mania? No clue.
The fall of "SmackDown!"'s 2006 MVP continues as King Booker was pinned cleanly by Kane's stupid chokeslam. WHY?? What will this lead to? Is Kane going to get a second World Title run? His last one, which lasted all of twenty four hours was so impressive, he certainly deserves another crack. Ughhh.
One match that surprised me was the finish of the Boogeyman / Finlay midget match. Who the hell woulda guessed that Team Finlay would go over? I guess it makes sense ultimately, since they want to extend the Finlay / Boogey program, in hopes that Dave can teach Marty HOW to work. I know Dave's good... but man, talk about trying to pull blood from a stone.
For absolutely no logical reason, The Hardys and Benoit defeated MNM and MVP. This was a good chance to elevate Nitro OR MVP with wins over either singles champ on the babyface team. Instead, Mercury taps out to Benoit's crossface in a finish that can best be described as sloppy and rushed.
Oh ya. That whole, un-announced cruiserweight gauntlet match... ya. It marked the end of Helms' run as the longest reigning champ in the WWE. Jimmy Yang eliminated Helms and looked to be in line to claim the strap, before being beaten by the last entrant - Mr. Vanilla, Chavo Guerrero.
Why is Chavo and his weak ass frog splash winning matches in 2007? I'm sorry. I don't approve.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on tha show...

What a lackluster ppv. The crowd was dead up until the main event.
MNM lost again to the Hardys. What's the point of this fued anymore? JBrown hit it right on the head with Benoit. German suplexes, Air Benoit and struggling with the Crossface before locking it on. BTW, if Mecury's still legitimately injured, mad props to him, cause that mask was shifting all night long.
Krystal was a waist of air time all, night long.
Notice how everyone would shut up for about ten seconds after she introduced them ALL as her "very special guest for tonight".
Why take the CW belt of off Helms, pass over Wang, and give it to Chavo instead??? Plus he's hailed as a six time CW champ. Is that a good thing? Wasn't he fighting for the U.S. title a few weeks ago?
All I'll say next is thank god Finlay won the match. Mass confusion ot worth commenting about.
Pretty decent match from Kane. Booker, good as he can be (but isn't all the time). His entrance is seriously hilarious man. He's really taken this King gimmick full throttle. Seems the King gimmick is being phased out though. Hasn't been no where near the main event in a while. Losing to Kane doesn't help his cause.
The next match could have been so much more. Even London & Kendrick, Good for an O or two, were just Okay.
Note to Deuce & Domino: using Doomsday Device to finish a match, not cool.
AS if Vanilla Black wasn't, well vanilla enough, we get a weak ass promo with his family and whatnot. Being the Mike Tyson of the E does not help either. DQ win for Kennedy. At least he looked dominant getting it, until the end when Lashley actually incorporated a bit of the Extreme he supposedly represents. Minus points for Mr. K for a weak ass ref bump.
Diva contest: I like the fact Jillian can talk good enough (solid lenghty promo last night) and wrestle too. I hate the fact she's playing Brooke Hogan Light. The original was a big enough dud.
The only other thing I'll say is, Ashley has a buthaface and ugly ass boobs.
the Main Event was okay. Nice teaming by the RAW team.
If Taker loses his streak, there should be a riot, period.
Missed all of 'em. Damn.
Pretty sure I scored in the league though.
Very Dissapointing. However I was very happy with Michael Cole losing his voice and JBL calling all the action by himself in the main event.
Very impressed with Mr. Layfield, proving he is the premier announcer in this business.
didnt get to watch this ppv... sounds like lackluster is the appropraite word for it... i hate that helms lost the title, but chavo gets more of a reaction from the crowd + i like chavo, so its cool...
im kinda glad d&d didnt get the titles... even though i had them on my roster... thats london and kendrik's thing... they get beat up all the way until the titles are on the line, then when its all on the table they make things happen... clutch time playas... plus the greasers have no business stealing the doomsday device... i boycotted SD when heidenreich insulted the road warriors... and i wont have these guys insulting their legacy either... what can i say? there are some things in wrestling i take serious
boogeyman and mini boogey... new doink and dink mixed with papa shango... fun for kids i guess... why waste your time complaining? just hit the bong and laugh
Batista's "heel" turn was necessary... i find it confusing how the guy went from ruthless, as in damn that clothesline, spinebuster, etc looked painful to ruthless in the sense that it made me wana turn the channel... maybe he/they want a boost of heat on the guy... we've said 3 face champs is too much... and 2 face v face championship matches didnt sit right
I've developed a theory... and please leave your opinion on it... i view WWE as a brilliantly ran company, with WAY TOO many brilliant wrestling minds to be as ignorant as we put off... by a few estimations that ive heard... smarks make up 1/4 of the WWE's viewing audience... thats not enough for us to get our way but enough to cater to and thats being realized..e but its also recognized that we watch no matter what... Impact's ratings from thursday show that to be true... My idea of what is happening with batista is an attempt at creating Dual-Heat... heat from the marks for the heel turn and heat from teh smarks for sub-par (to say the least) wrestling... not that he was great before but his execution has became more lame by the day... is it possible for a professional wrestler to "pull back" on his performance? of course it is... do marks understand that or care? not really... do we? YES... does vince mcmahon and company know that we know what a lame performance is? YES... do they know poor in ring technique? YES... i could write on and on about this... but you get where im going with this... and i think it could translate over to other's... tell me what you think
I have heard numerous times that the last thing the Undertaker wants to do before he goes out is put over Glen Jacobs. Perhaps Kane's clean win over Booker last night is the beginning of the Undertaker's farewell tour. My guess is that after the Undertaker defeats Batista at Mania, he will eventually find himself in a program with Kane where Kane will take the title. My guess is then that when Kane loses the title, either back to Batista or to the emerging Mr. Kennedy, he will also be done with the WWE.
Where are you getting that from Haught?
Yeah man, because being told you're supposed to lose the title the night after you win it, is entirely his fault.
Kane > You
It was all over a couple months back, when there were rumors of Kane retiring. I will see if I can dig it up from somewhere.
Now, realize that the Undertaker wanting to put over Kane before he leaves is all I have read. The rest was my speculation.
This is the best I could find thus far:
"Kane, 39, has expressed to WWE management that he plans on retiring soon, perhaps as early as January 2007. Kane told management that he has accomplished all he can in his career. Should Kane retire, it won't affect his See No Evil film deal as he signed a contract for a sequel to the movie.
One source within WWE said,'Kane is the most respected guy in the Raw locker room. He carries himself very professionally and it would be ashame to end his career without a decent title run.' Kane has stated several times that his 24 hour title reign in 1998 does not bother him, however, many within WWE (including Vince McMahon) feels as though that Kane has been bothered that he has not gotten another title reign in his career. Even though he's technically on RAW, there was some thought to giving him a title win at Judgment Day or No Way Out, but those plans were nixed. Another source said that when Kane was asked about a possible future title reign he said,'It's time for the younger guys to shine.'
Before his departure, Kane would like to be involved with Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton and John Cena. He would also like to reunite with The Undertaker as a tag team. Additionally, The Undertaker has expressed to management that Kane could possibly be the one to end his undefeated Wrestlemania streak. However, Kane turned down the idea, seeing as it would take credibility away from Taker's legacy."

I understand that this isn't exactly what I was saying earlier, but the scenario I said makes sense with this information. It seems as if the main thing that would put a stop to the Undertaker putting over Kane will be Kane himself.
Yeah Tim I remembered that after you brought it up, but had completely forgot about it, and it's possible that one more Taker-Kane fued could be some money if it happens.
Jbrown I like and agree with alot of what you're saying.
Onto the PPV, I think it was a bit better than it's being given credit for. I'll start at the bottom and go through. The ball was bobbled with the opener, but most people(me included) enjoy this rivalry whether it makes sense or not. Also having MVP not be in the decision will give him steam to wrestle Benoit at Mania and win the gold. Why is Chavo winning that title a bad thing? The only thing I see towards negative with it is the fact that GHelms doesn't have it anymore. Chavo vs. Rey will add credibility to that title if they bring the fued back to go for it. Werent we talking about how the CW division needed credibility? Plus Rey got to walk around with the World Title for 4 months because Eddie passed away, and what did Chavo get? A retirement and a fued with Rey with no Gold involved? Finlay-Big Boogey(Michael Cole called Boogeyman that last night and JBL couldn't pass up the opportunity-these two work pretty damn good together but Mr. Layfield is THE SHIT when it comes to color commentary) will continue because Marty needs to learn. I didn't get the Kane-Booker ending but then again it wasn't a clusterf*ck, so this fued could easily continue. Since Booker is a heel he can say that Sharmell had him distracted as well. London and Kendrick are as JBL said the standard bearers for the division. Duece and Domino(I can't really remember who is who, ones the weird faced white dude and ones the funny looking tan dude) aren't even close to ready for gold and if they are the heirs apparent then the fued will continue. Somebody teach Cherry how to skate please. There was no other way for the Tuesday Night Wrestling championship match to end. That one made the most sense. Kennedy can now nag and hopefully win the belt at Mania. Lashley is however being quasi-extreme by using the dreaded steel chair, I guess to go back to the ECW roots. The next 10-15 minutes was a waste of my time and yours, and Ashley isn't all that great. And I have seen her old playboy pics under the assumed name of Ryan Mackenzie(I think thats a nod to The O.C. though I'm not sure). I hate to say it, it almost hurts but Cena pulled out a few of his old moves last night, maybe he felt he needed to get gritty again to gain back some respect but the throwback and killswitch finally made there comeback. Same building he originally won that title in almost 2 years ago, give the man some headbands, visors, hats and let him break the jerseys back out if he has a chance at all of getting a pop at Mania. Batista badly and I mean BADLY needs to be a heel. Not to steal from Jbrown but if Batista doesn't do something he will lose all steam even with marks, and the best way to become heel is to turn on the Undertaker. If the heel turn makes him so "ruthless" he screws Taker at Mania and retains, I truly hope there is a riot. I'd hate to be fielding emails at WWE HQ the next day.
Not the best ppv i've seen by any means, but not the worst either. I'd give it a C or B-
