This should be a spectacular show. We have a "SmackDown!" branded pay per view with only five announced matches (at the time this article was written).
The 'double main event' (and I use that term loosely) features a total of six men - half of which are not even on "SmackDown!". Great way to build your brand.
I should also say as this article was being posted on Tha O Show, at approx noon eastern on Saturday, the WWE added a cruiserweight open, and Benoit & Hardys VS. MNM & MVP. Since this wasn't announced sooner... we're not commenting on it in our preview. That'll teach em not to drag their asses.
Offering their predictions this time around will be Big Daddy Donnie, Frank Fronte and one of the most hardcore mofo's on the planet, Notorious T.I.D.. T.I.D. was kind enough to send us his predictions but added "this whole show sounds boring as hell to me and therefore am not going to even waste the energy it would take to come up with something witty to say, to try and make it appear like it is a better show than it is. And you can quote that". We just did.
On to the predictions...
The Boogeyman & Little Boogeyman VS. Finlay & Little Bastard
Big Daddy Says: I liked this match better the first time, when Boogeyman was played by the Brooklyn Brawler and had Dink with him against Jerry Lawler and a midget. This is dumb. You had to figure it was going to happen eventually with Little Bastard runnin' around for months. The thing is, unlike so many midget wrestlers, Dylan Postl can actually WORK! He's a former NWA Wisconsin X Division Champion. He's had matches with normal sized dudes and looked good doing it. I don't know a damn thing about this Mini Boog but I don't like what I see. This match is ALL ABOUT the kids, so I'm predicting the babys go over.
Winners: The Boogey Family
Frank Fronte Says: Hopefully it's short and Finlay can go on to feud with Benoit at Mania
Notorious T.I.D. Says: Big and Little Boogies.
Kane VS. King Booker
Big Daddy Says: Booker's crown has been a little askew as of late. Even though he's still the best active wrestler on the mic on the entire show, and a hell of a worker he's been thrown back into the midcard with a perrenial midcarder. I don't see the point of jobbing Booker here, so I'm picking him to go over.
Winner: King Bookaahhh
Frank Fronte Says: I don't see why you shouldn't keep the King Booker character strong, Kane has no steam and seems to be caught in character limbo
Notorious T.I.D. Says: Kane.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Paul London & Brian Kendrick (c's) VS. Deuce & Domino
Big Daddy Says: WWE has done the fast title switch before, especially with tag teams...I really like London & Kendrick and I know the office does too. Here's what I can see. The Greasers pull off a heelish win tomorrow night, and head into WrestleMania as champs. Then we get one of those tag team turmoil matches with 50 teams, and The Hooliganz get their straps back. This way, The Greasers get the rub without losing any steam on the flip back, the babys get a big win at Mania and lots of guys get into the Mania tag match. Plus, I have Deuce & Domino on this week's fantasy roster.
Winners: Deuce & Domino
Frank Fronte Says: London and Kendrik b/c Deuce and Domino have an awesome gimmick, but suck in the ring..........if it was Deuce with a stronger worker it so could have worked
ECW Championship Match
Bobby Lashley (c) VS. Mr. Kennedy
Big Daddy Says: I know what I'd LIKE to see. I'd like to see Kennedy win a belt... ANY BELT ... even the damn OVW Extreme Title that is being rocked over on Sci Fi. That being said, I'm sure Lashley will make him eat a Dominator and continue his march to WrestleMania.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
Frank Fronte Says: Lashley beats Kennedy, in a match that Lashley needs to dominate, but won't.
Notorious T.I.D. Says: Mr. Kennedy
Batista & The Undertaker VS. John Cena & Shawn Michaels
Big Daddy Says: I could very easily see this turning into a clusterfuck with Batista and Taker going at it, while Cena and Michaels brawl. A knockout shot is delivered and one member of a team sneaks in a cheap win. I have a feeling it'll be Shawn pinning Taker to make up for the Rumble. Taker never loses steam and he's gonna be winning Big Dave's belt anyway.
Winners: HBK and he who shall not be named.
Frank Fronte Says: The main event will end with Batista giving Taker a Batista Bomb and costing them the match, "Raw" wins the main event.
Notorious T.I.D. Says: Cena & HBK

Here's my two cents.
Boogieman over Finlay
King Booker over Kane
Hopefully D&D (on my team as well)
Nice booking btw Big Daddy.
Lashley over Kennedy by DQ.
I doubt they'd let their star lose cleanly to another show's star.
Look for a Snitsky run in.
Either double DQ or Taker/Batista for the same reason as stated above.
Maybe a super kick to the unnamed one and chokeslam to the roided one.
Now for the bouns predictions (because I'm generous like that)
Helmsley retains for no other reason than.... just for no other reason.
MNM/MVP over Hardys/Benoit.
Hopefully they'll still get to add a ladder stip.
MNM's jobbed enough to the Hardys
Does this mean MVP gets a program with Benoit?
I'd rather have MVP surprise challenge Benout and take his belt cuz he is boring me so much now
Nice call on The Snitsky run in. I can see that happening Fallen One.
I don't think Benoit is boring... He's been the victim of bad booking, and Smackdown spots being taken by RAW / ECW guys...
Good thing they put him in, cause he's on my team.
benoit's last 5 or so matches (aside the one with finlay) have been mere german suplex-fests with an "air benoit" and some struggling crossfaces until he gets one locked in... i think he's getting very bored... i appreciate benoit but if a performer is bored then they become boring
boogeyman really does get handed some great programs... they really want this guy to learn from the greats (bookah, jbl, finlay...) and hes over with the kids... hes a crappy wrestler but ill give him props for busting his front teeth out and not getting them put back in for mere character sake... and yes hes on my roster
I popped for MVP's "balla" mock of Cena's 5 knuckle shuffle... loved it
the lashley/kennedy match makes no sense... sure i want kennedy to win... and he just might considering that lashley is a flop... wish i had put kenedy on my roster
mnm & the hardys can be on every ppv for all i care... a great match doesnt have to "make sense" two of the most decorated and entertaining tag teams in the past decade in the ring at the same time is a good thing... and the feuds havent really died... nitro still wants his IC title back and mercury's face is still jacked up
i could care less about the "main event" i got taker and hbk on my roster, both raked in a fair share of points this week... no purpose to the match
the CW open will be entertaining... i didnt pick up any CW's this week regretably... a noble/helms program would be money for wrestling fans... jbl can put both of these guys over and michael cole can just shut up... helms hasnt generated any heat hes just put on great matches this past year... and noble hasnt been on tv in a few months...
No intentions on buying the ppv until after noon saturday. Found out about the CW open and popped, so it's a lock D.J.B will indeed be watching. Helms v. Noble at Mania-that would be the shit. Helms hasn't drawn heat because he doesn't have a shot. His face time is limited to matches, and he puts damn good ones on, therefore he gets more tv time and more time with the belt.
