Regardless of whether the Middleweight Title was on the line or not, Anderson Silva defeated Travis Lutter in the second round of last nights's main event of UFC 67. After Lutter fought suprisingly well in the first round, Silva had Lutter in a triangle in the second round. The match ended with Silva destroying Lutter with repeated elbows.
However the night belonged to two former Pride stars. Both Mirko Cro Cop and Quinton Jackson made their debuts in UFC ones to remember.
Quinton Jackson got a huge ovation from the capacity crowd at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas as he entered for his match against Marvin Eastman. Jackson won in the second round after connecting with 5 punches as referee John McCarthy stopped the fight. Jackson cut a sensational promo after the fight and said he wanted a match with Chuck Liddell.
Mirko Cro Cop dominated Eddie Sanchez with a high kick and several punches in a first round ref stoppage. The crowd inside Mandalay Bay reacted to the Croation as a legitimate star. It's amazing how easily UFC was able to make two stars in one night. Makes you wonder if professional wrestling needs to return back to the days of squash matches.

Roger Huerta defeated John Halverson
Dustin Hazellet defeated Diego Saraiva
Ryoto Machida defeated Sam Hoger
