Now here's a great way to promote a pay-per-view: ECW's December To Dismember is this Sunday and so far, still only has two matches announced.
"SmackDown!"'s Armageddon PPV is slated for December 17th and has three matches already scheduled. Man, do I miss the old ECW.
Seriously, is WWE trying bury ECW or what? When else would there be a better opportunity to showcase the grossly underused talent that is The Sandman, Balls Mahoney, Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards?
Hell, even Terry Funk is still listed on the ECW website as a current "extremist".
So what gives?
I hope when news of the poor buy rates for this PPV come through that WWE doesn't actually think that its due to the talent on the roster. No promotion means no money...as an independent Canadian rapper, I know this all too well.
It looks to me like the ECW brand is being dismembered. Now I'm sure that some ECW talent will obviously get an opportunity to perform Sunday night but why have none of their matches been announced? Why are they getting absolutely no shine whatsoever on their brand's timeslot? No feuds? No storyline set-up?
In addition, notice how there is no such thing as representing your brand anymore? MNM, for example, has appeared on "Raw", ECW and "SmackDown!" this week and also have a match at December to Dismember. (Damn, I wish I picked them in the WWE Fantasy game!).
It seems like just about anybody can do anything on any show now and no one questions it. Why was John Cena selected as Batista's partner in the tag match for Armageddon? And no, this is not going to become another Cena bashing session (although that match is guaranteed to be brutal!). It just doesn't make sense.
Cena's a "Raw" guy, right? With all of this going on, how are we, the fans, supposed to really differentiate between brands? The differences between the three are become more and more blurry with each passing week.
It must be said too...why the hell is King Booker and Finlay VS. Batista and John Cena considered a main event for a pay-per-view? Is someone in the company trying to sabotage the PPV numbers or what? It makes no logical sense storyline-wise as well. Is this really supposed to appease King Booker and Finlay's anger over missing out on capturing the World Title this past week on "SmackDown!"?
While for certain PPV's Tha O Show likes to put up prediction articles, it clearly makes no sense to do so this time around. But here goes: The Hardys will win and so will CM Punk.
Okay, that is more of a hope than a prediction. But if SOMEONE in WWE is still listening to the fans, they'll realize CM Punk is over like a muhfugga! Not that that should be the reason he should win the title...but having a non-traditional WWE Superstar hold the gold may...just MAY bring some form of uniqueness and dare I say...legitimacy back to the "brand" known as ECW.

WWE doesnt care about ECW...
It's just a reasonable inexpensive way to horde talent keepin them from TNA
ECW blows clown cock.
I predict a 0.1 buyrate.
the only sense i can make for the end of the "brand feud" is the fact that they don't need to be in competition with themselves... they competition coming around the bend... and a tna v. wwe battle is 100 folds more interesting than a fable of company division... maybe wwe is wanting to shift attention and create a balance of viewers to all three programs at the same time
...or maybe it's just poor, inconsistent booking, and they clearly don't believe in 70% of their roster
I heard that they'll have:
Hardcore Holly vs Sandman
and
Tommy Dreamer vs Daivari
WOW. Thats worth $40.
I mean... no build up. No promotion. Not even any rivalries that make sense leading up to any matches before the PPV (I mean, they could have matt striker vs Sandman and Balls Mahoney vs Kevin Thorn again... at least put Sylvester Terkay vs ANYONE on the card... maybe him vs C.W. Anderson???? BECAUSE HE'S A FUCKING ANDERSON!!!) anyways... seeing C.M. Punk in the Main Event would usually mean a buy rate from me... BUT.... so far his matches in the wwe haven't been what they used to be in ROH or even TNA (I don't think wwe actually cares about wrasslin' anymore nowadays...)I still support Punk 100% because he is ONE of my favorites... but they need to end the squash matches and let him actually go out there and... wrassle.
Jim Rome time-
The WWECW experiment continues tonight with the first pay-per-view, December To Dismember. To build it up, the WWE has done something they have never done before. Normally, that would mean they did something over the top to generate big time interest in a show that not many people are watching. However, in this case, they've decided to go the complete opposite way by doing nothing to promote this pay-per-view. So far, they've only announced two matches, one of which has absolutely nothing to do with ECW. What, are we going to get a pair of 90 minute ironman matches? Look, I know the WWE is trying to recapture the magic of ECW by putting their own spin on every single thing they ever did, but this is not something they need to be doing this early into the new ECW. Back in the old days, Heyman would do this because he already had a solid fan base and everybody knew that there was a big show in store. However, Heyman's not calling the shots anymore, Vinnie Mac is, and the only Big Show fans can expect tonight is a hobbling giant who's teetering on the verge of retirement. Meanwhile, guys Balls Mahoney and Sandman are left sitting backstage to get drunk. Not that they find that a problem, but I would imagine they'd much rather get hammered in the middle of a ring following a match rather than sitting in the back watchin guys like Test battle for the title. I mean, seriously, Test is in the main event. Whats up with that? Isn't this the same guy who was so pathetic during his first run that anytime he held a title, the E decided to yank it from him within a month or two?
And while we're on the subject of lousy main events, what is Vinnie thinking by throwing John Cena, a face who's about as over as Orlando Jordan, into the main event of a SmackDown pay per view? Seriously, I know that you're desperately trying to get us all to like him, but right now is not the time to be giving us a main event like this. Despite Russo being there, TNA is breathing down your neck more and more each day, and this is not the way to expand your fan base. Pretty much the only hope fans have for this main event is that it becomes a match for both championships with Book and Finlay walking out with some gold. Otherwise, I'm turning it off right after I see MVP run like an idiot to the nearest extinguisher.

Whoops...accidentally double posted. Sorry about that. The feud with my crummy laptop continues. *gives computer another chair shot*
Eh...yeah, all smarks hate him, but there are some marks that don't like him either, at least I would be led to believe so after SummerSlam.
The MVP comment had nothing to do with how good/bad he was, it was in reference to the fact that at the end of the Kane/Undertaker inferno match at Unforgiven '98, Kane pretty much ran to the back like an idiot. And it's pretty much obvious that MVP's gonna lose that match, they only use those matches when one competitor has sleeves so that they can put flame retardants under the sleeves.
Damn Signguy,
really sorry to hear that...looks like Donnie and I made the right choice NOT ordering the pay-per-view.
Instead, we met with and watched Lance Storm and Christian Cage LIVE!
