This show had a lot going for it all night long. A great X-Division title match, awesome tag title match, great laughs from Kevin Nash... a TON of "O" worthy moments. Then came the main event. Now, no lie Samoa Joe, Christian and even Scott Steiner's bumbling' spot' screwin' up ass did a decent job... but STING went over. Sting. Sting gets to face Jeff Jarrett for the NWA title next month? Why? Why? Why?
I'm sorry but in this day and age, this is even lamer than Ric Flair getting a crack at the ECW title. Sting is old. Sting is played out. Sting is done. Sting was so gassed in the match last night, they ran an angle where Jarrett threw gas in his face, so Sting could leave the match for 10 minutes to catch his breath and get "medical attention". While the other three guys carried the main event, Sting walked in, hit an F'N SLOP DROP (ok Scorpian Death Drop) and pinned Scott Steiner. WHAT? Are you kidding? This pisses me off. After a solid pay per view I am reminded that this REALLY IS the 'Jeff Jarrett and friends show'.
I've seen Jarrett versus Sting. You may remember this old wrestling company that went OUT OF BUSINESS - it was called WCW - ya, well all this shit happened there already. When the camera cut away last night from Joe and Christian to show Sting and Steiner brawling on the outside I was like "WHY?" ... I saw these guys wrestle each other TWENTY years ago!
The smart, progressive move would have been to put Joe over tonight, and have him go on to face Jarrett on the SAME SHOW and beat him for the strap. Samoa Joe is red hot - ride the wave. I'm so sick of guys getting squashed as soon as they're over.
On a side note, if I was managing Joe -- no more three way dances, fatal fourways or anything that involves more than one opponent. His record in those matches SUCKS.
On the plus side from last night's show:
Kevin Nash sold like a champ and made me laugh.
The Dudleys cut a hot promo and actually had a very good match with the James Gang.
Daniels and AJ were sick, and the teased split of AMW was well done.
Ron Killings continues to do his lame ass dancing and HORRIBLE rapping (yes, EVEN CENA is better) but he did hit some unbelievable high spots.
One of my personal highlights tonight was the disbanding of Team Canada. Don't get me wrong, I loved this group - but the way it was done... original. D'Amore's promo was golden. It established Bobby Roode as a future main eventer, Petey will continue to be the man in the X-Division and Eric Young is more over than a condom salesman in a whore house.
I've known "Showtime" for many, many years, since he started training, and I'm thrilled to see the crowd SO into him.
The show overall was O-riffic. The finish to the main event left me with a very very nasty taste in my mouth.
What'd you think? Let me know?

Damn...kind of makes me glad I went to the ECW show and being the only person that recognized Lou E and actually call out "Sign Guy".
The show was reeeeeeally good...
Just the main event finish was stupid.
You Joe marks are all the same.
If you Joe didn't win, it must've sucked.
I think the show and the main event was solid. I would have liked to have seen Joe or Christian win...
To me, Sting and Steiner should be helping the company in other ways ... like Nash.
Whoah, who would have ever thought we'd be looking at Kevin Nash as an example of how to get young guys over?
