I think Tommy Dreamer said it best last night on ECW, right as he was just about to go face first into the edge of an upside-down fold-out chair, when he said: "O SHIT!""O SHIT!" for the closing scene of this past episode of "Raw". "O SHIT!" for the pure and simple fact that some media outlets (KISS 95.7 in Hartford, Connecticut for example) are marking out for this stunt/storyline.
"O SHIT!" for the live crowd booing, a "presumed dead", McMahon during his "ten-bell salute". A hilarious "O SHIT!" for Snitsky's going back to "Raw", with that compelling character/gimmick. And to top it all off, the "O SHIT!" for ECW adding Chris Benoit to their roster... but Boogeyman gets no O...just for BEING SHIT!
Thats right! I know I've been away, but I'M BACK!
This is..."Tha TNE Throwaway".
Let me first get this "Vince McMahon is presumably dead" thing out of the way. This is the biggest "plot-move" in WWE history, if only for the shock value alone. There...I said it.
They had apparently planned it out for about two weeks, hired a professional stunt company and filmed it on Sunday night. I have no idea where this is going, it will be next week before this plot begins to unravel. I'm hoping either Mick Foley or Donald Trump are "behind" this, but it's more than likely going to turn out to be Shane McMahon.
At this point, I think everyone is just having fun with the possibilities of how this will unfold. Everyone loves a good "Whodunnit? Murder Mystery".On to what little wrestling was provided "In Memory"' to Mr McMahon by the ECW roster.
Let's start things off with a good ol' fashion Extreme Rules match with Tommy Dreamer and Balls Mahoney. With the ECW title vacant, I say "who better to hold the title for while than Tommy Dreamer?" The ECW title, without a doubt, should only be defended in Extreme Rules matches...that's Dreamer's "thing"! Anyways, Dreamer squashed Balls with a handful of "O Shit!"s.
Back to the ECW World Heavyweight title. This title doesn't mean shit, and will never mean shit without a gimmick. "What kind of gimmick?" you may be asking. How about turning it into an "extreme/TV" title where it is defended every week in an actual Extreme Rules match.
I'm talkin' weapons, blood and spots galore. We all know "Raw" is the "soap opera", and "SmackDown!" is the "tech wrestling" program, so where does that leave ECW? Uh gee...maybe the "extreme" program? Find an identity and run with it. And considering the name ECW alone creates the gimmick...just go with it!
I'm sure there are plenty of "curtain-jerkers" in those locker rooms that would gladly bleed weekly just to get on TV. Jamie Noble comes to mind, this guy plays no role on "SmackDown!" Why not move him over to ECW and give him a chance?
Here's an "O Shit!" that sucked. Striker jobbing to the fucking The Boogeyman. Don't be surprised to see Striker "drafted" off of ECW this week in the "Supplemental Draft". And possibly Kevin Thorn (which would eliminate the possibility of a Thorn/Boogey program...DAMN!).
Finally, we get to the main event: Punk & Benoit VS. Burke & Cor Von. A fairly decent tag-match that ends with a wack-ass "5 count DQ" against Marcus Cor Von. If this is a sign of what the whole "uninformed referee" match-style is going to become...NO THANKS! The one match of the night with potential written all over it, ruined by a bullshit finish. It's all good though. I have faith that after the dust settles, ECW will come out leaps and bounds beyond where it was last fall...if only because of the garbage WWE is putting off onto the other two shows.

i never got to tell Mr. McMahon I loved him...
I think in the end that it will be McMahon himself responsible for the whole thing... Notice the change in facial expression right before he gets in the limo. It's almost a "this will show them" look.
Who would I like to see be the culprit? Hulk Hogan...

copy & paste this link in a new tab, and check out the first pic... A grown-ass mark crying during the McMahon ten bell salute... fucking jokes
Tim thats exactly what i thought the min it blew up.also they gave a clue about that too.Vince's body was not found come on.im pretty sure they can get a little bit of dna from that fire if it was real so it was vince proving a point.Think about say colt cabana was the person that blew up his car it would give colt amazing face power because he killed the super heel.Wishful thinking i know. i hope they give the title to punk but that wont happen obviously be benoit
Can you image...Chris Benoit vs. C.M. Punk for the ECW title? There's an OSHIT jbrown. Just again, OSHIT.
This weeks ECW should have/could have been the biggest/best one yet due to the draft, but no, Vince, even in death ruins it. I know his character added some good moments, but at what point do you go, for God's sake enough already.
Out of a possible 10 stars I give the show a 7-5 of which came from teaming Punk and Benoit.
Rikishi did it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol they are gonna get in shit for the vince crap
Benoit is more than likely the next ECW champion. They pretty much made it clear when they had him lay down for Lashley. All New champions for Smackdown or ECW must lay down for a RAW wrestler (see Edge to Michaels for reference).
There's no doubt Benoit will get an ECW title run... but im sure there will be some sort of tourney or rumble for it at the next ppv... Dont be surprised to see Cor Von get it and Benoit will work a program with him... then get the belt
I doubt the WWE offices are that high on Cor Von yet...
i dont. vince does have a thing for a big black guy
Yes but Vince already has Bobby Lashley...
Vince's black guy boner on ECW is currently Elijah Burke.
Also, historically, Vince McMahon has not pushed African Americans or African From Anywhere Elseicans very well.
Up until the Rock and Booker T, the guys that did the best under Vince's rule were Junkyard Dog and Ahmed Johnson.
TO be fair Elijah Burke is fairly good if not great worker and his fighting style with his highly athletic style he could easliy have a great program with benoit
Well Timoteous, if you want to be truthful about it, Vince hasn;t pushed anyone that succesfully. The guys that are remembered and revered pushed themselves.
Also, Vince is that high on Cor Von, he was brought in with high expectations, but they gave him some time to build the Cor Von character, because the Monty Brown character couldn't have made it in WWE, or TNA for that matter. Wait, it didn't make it in TNA. PERIOD!
ahmed johnson did it.
Yes Bobby Lashley is so responsible for his own push, as was Ahmed Johnson. Those mic skills and that workrate are undeniable...
I get your point, and you're right, but mine is too.
Vince could push Jo-Jo the Dogface Bitch boy, and if he was an awesome performer in ring and/or on the mic he would get over. He could also push God's gift to the human race, and if he wasn't good he wouldnt get over.
