Tha "iMPACT!" Dispatch

How can you not love a show that started with Robert Roode VS. Jerry Lynn and ended with James Storm VS. Chris Harris? With quality matches like that, the rest of the show could be all Last Rites Matches for all I care.

But TNA did me even one better - the middle of the show featured the rest of their talented roster.

As stated before, Robert Roode VS. Jerry Lynn was the "curtain jerker". I use that term very loosely, as these are two guys who can flat-out go. The match was intense, with Roode picking up the win via the pay off. Hopefully after Roode puts over Young at Slammiversary, Roode will be the first in line to face the new champ.

Cornette's promo after the match, however, was fairly pointless. I realize that TNA is trying to make itself distinct from WWE, but a promo saying "we're against woman-beating" really isn't the way to do it. Remember, this is the crowd that popped like nobody's business when Jeff Jarrett obliterated Traci Brooks with his trademark guitar.

Smarks realize that most of the violence is fake, and that the women wouldn't come into the business not expecting to take a bump at least every now and then. On the plus side, at least the women's match was entertaining. TNA doesn't need a women's championship, but as long as they have respectable workers, I don't mind a women's match every now and then.

I still question TNA as to why they are giving Tomko such a big push. You can't be a main eventer unless you are either very talented or very charismatic, and Tomko is neither of the two. Christian Cage was hilarious tonight though. Sneaking around the building with the coat and oversized sunglasses, abducting AJ Styles? Gold.

There's no way that guy is ever going back to the E. TNA gave him more than Vince ever would have, and TNA didn't even have to think twice about it. Somewhere, as we speak, Carl DeMarco is crying into his cheeseburger thinking about how he let Cage get away. And then eating the tear-soaked burger anyway because he's a fat ass.

The Steiner Brothers are one of the best things going in TNA right now. If TNA wants to rebuild the tag team division that they absentmindedly disbanded (they couldn't have possibly realized that they had broken up that many teams), having a legendary team like Scott and Rick Steiner is one way to do it. Use teams who have a retarded amount of credibility, and put over your new teams around them. And in the meantime, let the Steiner Brothers be damn entertaining. I am marking out for their match already.

Harris and Storm have got main event written all over them. Their match featured plenty of O's. Even though the match had a schmoz finish in the form of a double count-out, it at least sets up what I would imagine will be the culminating match in their feud at Slammiversary. Considering what these two have put out so far, it's going to be hard to top themselves.

I felt that the post match brawl didn't need to happen, but at least it didn't affect the outcome of what was one hell of a match. TNA seems to finally be getting their act together, and Slammiversary is shaping up to be one of the best pay-per-views in a long, long time.

Apparantely you didn't read that Scott Steiner injured himself on a show in Puerto Rico and had to get surgery. On Hermie Sadler's UWF show the Steiners are being replaced by AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. It will be interesting to see what TNA comes up with. I think the top candidate to team with Rick would be Road Warrior Animal, unless they try to find a member of the Varsity Club who can still go. Then again, who in the hell remembers the Varsity Club? Me? Oh yes, I do. And they were awesome!

As far as TNA goes, I will officially say, that it is my new home. While I'm tha O show's Smackdown guy, I'm only doing that for the love of THIS F'N SHOW. TNA has better talent, and as of the last 5 weeks a better fuckin show.

We have wrestlers of variant shapes and sizes, women that can work first and foremost, before they shake their funbags, high flyers, brawlers and technical wrestlers. Not roided up retards that love to dry hump mirrors. That and they don't have a fuckin anteater overseeing his wifes job and holding down guys that he is afraid of. I'll say it here, FUCK THE E(article forthcoming)I only watch now because I feel I have to. I've been watching it for 10 fuckin years and would hate to stop now. I don't know how exactly this became my comment but it did.

Anyway, solid show, Christian as the unibomber was awesome. I O'd for Tenay(I think) when he called Traci the floatation floozy. That was gold. O for James Storm spittin on Wychek(I hate the Titans) and his match with Harris. The Wildcat and Cowboy could be a main event for the world championship. MY only no for TNA this week was Kurt Angle. As much as I love him in the ring his outside the ring character for both the E and the A grow stale quite quickly. Maybe he spent to much on it at the beginning of his career. I dunno. Does anybody see Joe as the next champ?

Whatever happened to the NWA Championship? Did Danielson ask enough people that they finally just handed him the thing?

Dude,

you're insane if you think iMPACT! is better than SmackDown!

What reason did Leticia have to follow Tomko around with a microphone as he searched for Christian Cage?

How lame was the Christopher Daniels meet 'n' greet with Sting and JB in the back?

How awful do Tenay and West have to get before someone shoots them?

The last match of the night had a bunch of Os...but not enough to topple SD! as the best wrestling show on TV.

Your article this week better represent!

Leticia doesnt hurt my eyes. The Tomko thing is to further the storyline with he and Christian.

I honestly missed the first 13 minutes this week so as far as the meet and great, I'm clueless, my bad.

I've said on here before, and apparently nobody believes me, I watch iMPACT on mute. The only way I found out about Floatation Fluzy was from my dad.

Hopefully you will find my article to your liking. It's already sent by the way.

While I agree that the E needs to shape up their shows.. I would never say TNA is better than SD.
Yes TNA has its moments. I love the Harris/Storm feud.
Tomko.. I have said it here before.. make him a bodygaurd like he was. He is not a everyday wrestler or someone who should be in a title chase. Shit, he shouldnt even be in a major feud. I dont mind him messing with Cage some.
There is no way I would pick TNA over SD. No way in hell.

I have to agree with Dan-e-o, TNA isn't better then Smackdown. Imapct as it's moments here and there like the Harris,Storm match but on SD this week we got Edge vs. Benoit which should be a main event on a ppv if you ask me. As long as SD has wrestlers like Benoit, Edge, MVP, Finlay, London, Kendrick, and Matt Hardy, it will be better then TNA . The only way Impact could hang with SD is if it goes two hours or some new bookers.
